Why Paul Hudson chose Rockport

We owned a smaller house in Rockport since 1979 and have always loved the atmosphere of the town. Key Allegro is the most vibrant community in Rockport and this house in particular is stunningly beautiful and comfortable – open and airy – it just has a wonderful feel. It was way above our price range, but once we saw it, we couldn’t live without it!

Relax in Rockport

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 13 stayed at this property for 4 days, in early August, 2016 and simply loved it!. The stay was so very relaxing and to have the family together under one roof sitting directly one the bay was great. This property has it all, 5 bedrooms, sun room , great dining room looking over the water, wonderful kitchen (with commercial ice maker!) and the best great room ever. We loved the home and the area, we felt at home and welcomed, so much so we have already booked for 2017, for a week! Rockport is a great family vacation spot, with great weather, fishing from your own private pier, swimming in the very nice pool, great beaches, shopping and maybe best of all the food (great restaurants). I and my family would definitely recommend this property and this owner, to any family looking for a relaxing family vacation.

Best vacation rental so far!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house, great location! The house is so nice that we did not feel going out. Private pier, kayaking and fishing in the backyard and beautiful sunset in the front yard with sea view noting more to ask 😄򑀮 The house has everything you want. Not a complain but would be nice to have a better cooking range and exhaust (my wife likes cooking on vacations) saying that this should not be a show stopper just something the owners may want to know for future upgrades 😄򑀮 overall 5 star living 👍𣐼􎿻👍𣐼􎿻. Will I go again? 100% yes

Great vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great house for our family reunion/vacation. The house accommodated the whole group (13), ages 17 months to 81 years. Kayaking, fishing, swimming at the neighborhood pool, and just relaxing - it provided all. The house had just been cleaned and was waiting for us when we got there, and the kitchen provided everything we needed in the way of utensils, equipment, etc. The views were great, both front and back. I will definitely recommend the place.

Bayfront Home and Private Fishing Pier

  • 5 of 5

This house was very spacious and nice. My family stayed there for a week. The kids had such a good time fishing off the back dock. We seen lots of Jellyfish and caught numerous fish. The bigger kids enjoyed the fishing pier. We caught numerous fish and two stingrays. We even had several dolphins come up to the fishing pier. The beach in Rockport was very nice and not crowded at all. We even went to Port Aransas for a day at the beach. The kids really enjoyed the ferry ride over and back. The house is in a very nice neighborhood. The kids took their bikes and rode up and down the street. We had such a good time and want to return again next summer.

We had a great time. I brought my 3 children, their spouses and my 8 grandchildren. Great time fishing, grilling, and just sitting outside watching the water and visiting. I moved away from Rockport 10 years ago so it really brought memories. I could see my old home from this property!! We were without electricity for 12 hours one day which was very uncomfortable, but this was AEP's fault. Plenty of space for everyone to move around in at all times. Thank you for a great spring break.

Spacious house, perfect for a relaxing stay!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this beautiful home for 3 years in a row and just absolutely love it. It's incredibly spacious and everywhere you look there is somewhere to relax and make the most out of your vacation.

In the morning it was really nice to drink a cup of coffee out on the back porch to take in the breeze and the view. Even for those who choose to stay inside to drink their coffee you will still enjoy the same great view thanks to the large windows surrounding the front and back of the house. Another favorite morning ritual of mine was to take our 5 yr old and twin 2 yr olds for a stroll down the street in front of the house, taking in the perfect breeze that being right on the bay offers. Every walk we witnessed at least one crane fishing for breakfast. On the very last morning one of my daughters and I were especially lucky and spotted a porpoise swimming in the bay right in front of the house. We were literally standing in the driveway. It was amazing!

The house is really spacious, even allowing daytime naps and study breaks upstairs and in the master bedroom downstairs in the midst of 3 two year olds and a 5 yr old wreaking havoc through the main living areas. We also found the kid-friendly bunk-bed room upstairs to be a great place for the kids to wind down and relax with a cartoon break after a long day at the beach. Another big positive for us was that each bedroom has its own private bathroom which is huge for large, multi-family groups.

This house is a prime location for easy access to the grocery store, Walmart, seafood restaurants and most importantly, Rockport State Beach. Rockport State Beach is a great beach for all families but especially those with small children. There are playscapes, shaded beach huts, restrooms, and plenty of room for fun in the sand and water. We especially appreciated the calm waters, allowing even our youngest family members to enjoy swimming in the bay.

Looking forward to our next stay here!
