Kahana Outrigger is located on the beautiful west shore of Maui in Kahana. There are sunny beaches and tropical scenery available to you at this fabulous location. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained with lush tropical vegetation for your enjoyment.
With only 16 units, it's very private and quiet. Both the beach and pool area are only steps away. Enjoy boogie boarding, swimming, paddle boarding, surfing and romantic sunset walks. Dining, shopping and golf within walking distance as well as short driving distance.
This large 3 bedroom 1,500 sq.ft. townhouse is very clean and welcoming. Our townhouse is fully equipped and offers many amenities that other rentals do not. Private lanai with views of the ocean, the islands of Lanai and Molokai, sunsets and rainbows.

Although we're long time California residents, we consider Hawaii our second home. We took many wonderful family vacations to the Big Island as well as Maui. Now that I'm grown up, I manage this property on behalf of my family. I also own a pet care business in Los Angeles, CA and my father and brother own and run a prosthetic and orthotics business also located in the Southern California area.

Kahana Outrigger is right on the ocean with a beautiful view from every unit. Our unit is quiet and private which is what we look for when vacationing. This property is perfect, as it's only a short drive to Kapalua, Lahaina, and Kaanapali. Most other areas on the island can be reached within an hour.
This property is wonderful. Beautiful weather and water, serene and quiet with a gorgeous view of Molokai out in the distance. Lahaina, Kapalua and Kaanapali are all close by. Bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen is big for those of us who like to cook and spread out while doing so!
Great Location with a beautiful beach. Very easy to communicate with the owner and work with. The apartment complex is well maintain. The only reason why I did not give it a five was because there was an apartment being repair in the same complex that caused some noise for a couple of days but overall a good place to stay.
It was my monther in-law 95th birthday wish to go back to Hawaii. We rented this 3bd 3 bath townhouse at Kahana Outrigger and it was fantastic for us, unit 1A1 a downstairs unit with a deck with stairs that went out to the pool and 20 feet more was the ocean. It was fully equipt with even a cooler to take with you on a picnic.
There are instructions on the refrigerator if you have a problem. I did have difficulty finding the switch to turn on the ceiling fan in front room so I called the number for Stuart, he never called back. I eventually found the right switch (lots of light switches in the house). Also there were no instructions for check out. I was not sure if we needed to launder the sheets or strip the beds, called Stuart and even emailed Lauren the owner but no response. That was the only negative. All in all the trip was wonderful. I would definitely rent again.
My mother in-law would get up every morning and sit on deck to feed the birds then off to sit by the ocean. Everyday, she thoroughly enjoy her stay and so did we. The complex only has 12 units so it quiet not lots of people like Kannapalli. I'll never stay in Kannapalli area again, We're in our 50's and the quiet low key is what we want now. Our 20yr old enjoyed it too.
Resort is 2 blocks from McDonald's and there's a small grocery store at the gas station that has a Redbox. Very convenient.
We snorkeled at Kapalua Beach and seen turtles that swam right up to you. Visited some marine preserve past Kapalua and walked in to view the beach. It was like Jurassic Park...a jungle with a good path and a running creek. We all walked it. It was very cool.
Did a Luah at the Sheridan Hotel...the performance was good, food not so good. I recommend making reservations for a luah before you leave home. The Grand Waiala is suppose to be a good one or the Lahinia Luah are suppose to be one of the best.

We stayed for 8 nights with our kids and my parents. We had a wonderful stay at this condo. Location was great--lots of snorkeling off the beach and a quick drive in any direction to other beaches. We would stay here again.
Great location steps from beach and pool. Nice view of ocean from patio. We saw whales almost every day. Building is older, but unit has renovations like new appliances, granite countertops, etc. Snorkeling was not great from beach, but nice for paddleboards and for kids to play on beach. Never needed air conditioner, but there were several window units.
This was a great place for a family. The owner responded quickly and was easy to deal with, the property managers are not available. The decor is beautiful and homey, the beds are comfy. The kitchen is divine. We had a couple of issues with the internet and roofers were on the neighboring building, but I assume that is done. This is our favorite part of Maui as the beaches are amazing, the restaurants are plentiful. The house is on a quite road and is walkable. This is a convenient, safe and sweet spot to land.
This was our first visit to Maui and to the Kahana Outrigger. Ms. Cynthia Whitworth was very helpful in arranging the condo and very prompt in answering our questions. The directions for reaching the condo from the airport and entering it were very clear. The condo was very neat and the location exquisite-just as the photos describe.
During our one week stay we only had one little minor problem-an AC unit in the bedroom was not working properly and it was immediately fixed. The condo was well stocked with cleaning supplies. The caretakers there were very attentive to our needs. The site manager was very friendly and cleaned the grounds everyday.
The town of Lahaina is close by and has many restaurants and shops. The Kanapalli resort nearby also has an excellent shopping mall. Grocery stores are also nearby. The McDonald rest. is only a block away and a great place to get a cup of coffee at the start of a morning walk.
Our only request is that the owner contact us and offer us deals for repeat stays. Many of us in our group would like to go back.
We have no hesitation in recommending this place to visitors.
