Why JIll Gabrielle chose Queens

We purchased property in Rego Park Queens, because of it's proximity to Manhattan (19 minutes by subway from is a lot quicker than when we were renting on the Upper East Side of Manhattan), and the neighborhood in Rego Park is very safe, interesting, with lots of great to mention being beautiful!

Guestbook comments from the owner

It was great and I really liked the decor of the apartment. I would definitely stay there again the next time that I'm in New York!

Three great weeks

  • 5 of 5

On August 2009, my wife and I spent three beautiful weeks visiting New York City and its surroundings. What made our visit so great was, in great part, because of this apartment. It is really everything that is advertised and then some. My wife did all of her shopping a few blocks away from it.

There are all kind of stores, places to eat or buy unprapared food and the subway station is only three blocks away. Another thing that added to our comfort was the security of the building, with 24/7 doorman, and how quiet the area was.

Phil, the owner, was always polite and professional from our first contacts.

Sometimes we communicated over the telephone, other times we used the Internet, but anytime we had a question or concern, he gave us an honest and to-the-point answer.

We plan to return soon to NYC and we now know exactly where we are going to stay: Rego Park, Queens.

Thank you Phil and Lionel for everything.

The place was great. It is very easy to get there, close to the subway and very close by subway to manhattan. The neighborhood is great, very beautiful and safe. There are supermarkets, farmacies, parks and even a mall just a couple of blocks away.

The apartment is small, with a double bed and an inflatable matress, but it has everything you need for a very good price. The kitchen is fully equiped with everything you may need, the heating works great, there is a space for dinning, and a faily big closet. The bathroom has a bathtub and working hot water.

The access to the internet was by cable, but worked great. The tv didnt have many channels available but did have things to watch.

Last, the service was great. There was no problem with the booking, the dates, the price. My party had a problem and arrived one day late but there was no problem at all. The person in charge (Lionel) picked us up at the airport (for a reasonable price) at 2 in the morning! and showed us in the morning to the subway and the things near by. He was there for whatever we needed but didnt interfere at all with our stay. After we left, we were contacted because of a problem but that was quickly resolved in an amicable way.

All in all, completely recomended! it is a great place and the experience we had wouldn't have been nearly as good if it wasnt for this place.

Rego Park Efficiency

  • 3 of 5

The condo is very conveniently located near subways. making access to anywhere in the city convenient. It is small, but very nicely decorated, and the neighborhood is safe. When we arrived, there was work being done on the building, causing a few problems, but the owners tried very hard to make it right. Overall, a good experience, and I would recommend staying here for short visits to the city.

Loved the Price!

  • 4 of 5

My friend and I stayed here at the beginning of July for a week. The apartment was clean, bed was comfy, convenient train 3 blocks away, and most important, this place was affordable. Apartment is very nicely decorated, and had an old NY feel. We loved the very mixed neighborhood of mostly Russian, Asian, and Indian. You have access to Manhattan and all the other boroughs easily, which we did as our business was in Brooklyn. This high rise had a nice view from the patio, and we didn’t hear any neighbors. There was a bit of construction in the morning, but we weren’t home for most of the day anyway. There were nights when we came home well after midnight, stopped at the 24 hour deli only 2 blocks away for a snack, and had no problems walking around the neighborhood. (We are 2 single girls!) Best thing is that this lively Queens neighborhood always has people walking, even late at night, so it never felt scary. We found the best cheesecake (no kidding) a few stops up in Forest Hills, at Martha’s. No complaints, but if there was one, the bathroom is a little small, and we couldn’t find electrical outlets in it. We always make do, so we used the dining area to use our hair appliances. Everything worked out really well, and we can’t beat the price. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Phil!

The Perfect Apartment

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from 8 days in New York and stayed in this apartment in Rego Park. The apartment has everything one would need. It was clean and comfortable. The heat was wonderful (in the midst of a snow storm!). The surrounding sidewalks were cleaned up within hours of the snow and thewwhole area is well-lit at night. There are so many stores and resturants withing a few minutes walk. There are three malls within walking distance and the subway stop is a 2 minute walk and then a 25 minute ride to Manhattan.

It was the perfect vacation apartment!

Better Than A Hotel

  • 4 of 5

Being familiar with New York I always expect the unexpected..and I was not disappointed. Our rental was quite pleasant and much more personal than a hotel would have been. The amenities were accessible and the stay was uneventful (in a good way). We left a day earlier than originally paid for but still it was a good stay. The only thing I did not like was lack of parking. Finding a parking in the area is like looking for a needle in a haystack. So beware, try not have a vehicle when you rent this property. It is good for public transportation. I would have given a 5 star rating but due to this I could not. That was not the renters fault - they were very cordial and exact. Thank you for the pleasant stay and hopefully we will return.

Queens is one of the 5 boroughs in New York City. Rego Park (Queens) is a very international, European, safe neighborhood with great restaurants and shopping. It is only a 20 min. subway ride to Manhattan (the capital of the world!). Broadway Theatres, 5th Ave., Times Square, boat tours around the island, Greenwich Village, the Statue of Liberty, all of New York is at your feet! Also, Coney Island (Brooklyn), Staten Island Ferry (and zoo), Bronx international food goes on and on! You'll be back year after year!
