The apartment is located at the Ave Kukulcan klm 19.5 at Cancun hotel zone, a short distance to bars, night club and restaurants, also while staying in Cancun you should visit the different places of interest like, zcaret, tulum, chicen-itza and other archaeological sites as well. Underground rivers, horse back riding, and tropical forest are among all those places you can also visit. All those places are about 2 hrs or less [driving]. Cancun is full of activities for adults and children, plenty of aquatic activities, you could stay a year and experience a different place every day.
My husband & I had a wonderful time in Cancun & this condo was perfect for us. The bed, sofa & chairs were so comfortable & there were plenty of towels & extras. The owners checked in with us several times to make sure all was well and the hotel staff was always available. Having a kitchen saved us a lot of money not eating out all the time. We would definitely come back again for another visit.
We stayed in this condo for 6 long weeks.
The kitchen facilities were terrible. No counter space for food prep or washing dishes. No storage space for food, etc.. The stove top was ceramic with a big crack down the center and only 2 burners worked. No mixing bowls or usable pots or pans. (brought my own frying pan) Frying pans supplied were too scratched to use & there was one pot with no lid. The fridge leaked water inside the fridge, therefore if food wasn't in a container, it got all wet and unsuitable to eat. At one point it quit working. Wasted a lot of food. The air conditioner in the bedroom never did work, and air conditioner in living room quit on the last day of our stay (woke up to water from air conditioner flooding the living room and soaked rugs).
We had contacted the owner, Olga numerous times, requesting repairmen for the air conditioner and fridge, only to have her ignore our requests & quit corresponding with us . I finally contacted Homeaway, and requested their help. Although they couldn’t help directly, they did contact the owner and relayed our concerns to her.
We did finally get a repairman for the AC in the bedroom, but he couldn’t fix it, and the fridge repairman (came a week after it quit working), really didn’t do much, other than defrost it and started it back up. ( I don’t believe he was a true repairman). Within 2 days it was leaking water again.
As mentioned by previous renters, the elevator worked off and on. There was no place in the complex to eat, therefore, there wasn’t many options, other than try to prepare meals in an inadequate kitchen with minimal dishes, bowls, & cooking utensils. Took the 20 min. bus ride down to grocery store and restaurants, many times during our stay .
The washer/dryer, Internet, Jacuzzi Tub, comfortable king size bed & gorgeous beach are the only positives for this unit.
This apartment needs a lot of work & updates. Get rid of all the large furniture & update the kitchen & cooking facilities.
This apartment is not handicapped accessible, especially the bathroom and lack of space in living room due to, too much/large furniture.
Hmmm. It was adequate. There were two of us sharing this one-bedroom unit so we used the fold out couch in the living room as the second bed. The coach has seen better days and is a bit lumpy at night, and a bit springy during the day. The kitchen has no counter space: there are two fold-up flaps that one uses to prepare food but these flaps block access to the bathroom and to the front door so one has to be a bit acrobatic whilst cooking.
It's hot in Cancun and for the first four days of our week's stay, the living room air conditioner was broken so it was a bit warm. Albeit this was over Christmas so the repairman was not available.
There are two elevators in the building. One was broken the whole time we were there and the other was broken about half the time so it was a slog up and down stairs to the fourth landing.
The beach while we were there was un-swimmable due to high surf and wind. The locals told us it was often this way and that the beach at this end of the hotel zone was not the best for swimming.
This condo is located at the very end of the 15-mile hotel zone. There is an Oxxo across the street, and a couple of restaurants within walking distance, but the main activity including shops and restaurants is a fifteen-minute drive down the beach toward town. If one is driving to Tulum, Playa del Carmen or anywhere south of Cancun, then this condo is in an excellent location.
The condo complex, which also serves as the Bellevue Beach Paradise Hotel, is not well maintained. The maintenance dues must be low for the condo owners because the whole effect is one of shabbiness and certainly not luxe.
As they say in northern Mexico, "ni modo", oh well (shrug of shoulders). It was cheap. We did have a reasonably good time in Cancun although it was not the highlight of our 8,700-mile drive through Mexico and Guatemala from San Diego.
They place is awesome only Place with two ac units and also good service. The busses literally run all night they are fairly quick and the beach view is gorgeous awsome stay all and all.
The Condo had most of the basic necessities, the kitchen was great to have as well as bottled water being provided. A run to wallmart on the bus will get you all stocked up. Would haver been nice to have a coffee pot or french press. convenient having the Washer/dryer. The washer worked great but the dryer didn't work at all so we had to hang our clothes all over the condo. A wonderful Jacuzzi tub and shower, lots of water pressure and hot water. The resort it is nice but way at the end of hotel strip where there are no restaurants or shops, but a short bus ride gets you to the main area. Unfortunately because this is a private Condo the resort staff treats you like a step child, they weren't very friendly or helpful at the front desk. For the same price you can find a nicer place closer to main area. It also just so happened the resort was doing a lot of roofing repair out in front of our unit so we got to listen to hammering echoing through the condo all day. Be sure to buy the insurance so you can go elsewhere if needed, it would have been worth the $39 to get away from the hammering.
We returned to this property for a second, month long vacation. The condo continues to be well maintained with new air conditioner, new drapes and wifi. Jose and Olga are a pleasure to deal with and are honest and most accomodating. We didn't have to ask for anything nor did we have any problems when we were there. They did call us to ensure everything was o.k. Angela (the property manager) picked us up at the airport and took us for groceries at Walmart. This was welcome as we were staying for a month, so used this as an opportunity to stock up on groceries. We took the bus for groceries after that and enjoy the trip downtown. Taxis are available (cheap compared to taxi rides at home) at Walmart if we bought too many groceries to carry back on the bus, but we don't have a problem taking the bus back to the condo. Angela keeps the condo very clean. The fresh bedding on the big comfortable bed every week is wonderful. As others have commented. this condo is well stocked with cooking utensils, towels (including beach towels) and bedding. We always had fresh bottled water in our apartment. We call this condo our home in Cancun, as this is just the way we feel when we are there. This is the first time we have returned to a vacation property as we enjoy new adventures. However, this condo, the beach and the ocean drew us back. We enjoy the large windows over looking the ocean and how bright and clean the condo is. We will certainly consider this property again and we recommend it every chance we get.
