Hot Springs Village Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Attached Unit, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

BOOK ON LINE! To book this property on-line, simply use the “GET AN INSTANT QUOTE" button on the right hand menu bar. Then, scroll down to the bottom of that page and use the “SEND REQUEST” button. We will reply with the link to our reservation system and you will be on your way to a memorable Village Vacation!

This beautiful, very private apartment retreat, with separate outside entrance, is located on the walkout level of a new custom home on a quiet, less traveled, canopied lane in Hot Springs Village. It is just the place to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature that abound here! Take the “wooden walkway” at the edge of the forest, to this special place, where the sounds of the woods and stream below offer serenity and peace for your special vacation. The apartment features a lovely Arkansas room, living room with adjacent efficiency kitchen and soft, comfortable places for reading and relaxing. The king sized bedroom and bath are spacious and well appointed. The covered lanai, off both bedroom and Arkansas room, provide for comfortable and private outdoor living, year around. There is a lower deck, closer to streamside, accessible by forest path and wooden steps set into the hillside. If you’re surefooted and are up for the trek, this deck is a wonderful place to really “feel” the forest and watch the wildlife all around. You might even get a glimpse of a deer family frolicking in the stream or see a beautiful red fox! ForestGlen apartment is beautifully furnished with textiles and collectibles obtained from our visits to Thailand, Asia and Indonesia, along with original art and prints collected over many years. The location is ideal for those wanting easy access to all Village amenities, including golf courses, fitness center, trail systems, outdoor pools, tennis center and 12 beautiful lakes! Mano Way is a great place to ride a bike or take a “walk with nature” as it loops around thru the forest and back to your starting point…. exactly a mile in length. Along the way you may see deer, a red-tailed hawk, a turtle or two and lots of wildflowers. You may hear an owl and much conversation among birds in the canopy above. We are "dog friendly" and we will warmly welcome your canine travel companion, providing he/she has good house manners. A small pet fee is required. Stay for a couple of days or more…. You’ll be glad you came!

If you will be traveling with friends, be sure to ask about our Sunny Oaks Casita studio, another wonderful oasis in the forest that is easily accessible from Forest Glen, yet with it's own covered outdoor living and private entrance, on the opposite side of the house from the Lanai apartment. The Casita is a one bedroom studio apartment featuring queen bed; an efficiency kitchen; comfortable sitting area and 3/4 bath. Furnishings in Sunny Oaks are Southwest/South American in design. When joined, the two apts. will comfortably accommodate four people.

Hot Springs Village is America's largest gated community and is a wonderful place to vacation or live, with spectacular scenery, moderate climate, warm and friendly people, relaxed and casual lifestyle and some of the best golf, boating and recreational opportunities you’ll find anywhere! Hot Springs Village and neighboring Hot Springs (just 20 minutes away!), also offer great restaurants, live music/concerts, art galleries and events, botanical gardens, horse racing at Oaklawn, family fun at Magic Springs and Crystal Falls and lots of shopping!

Lake Ouachita State Park and Marina is just 20 minutes from the Village West Gate. The lake, dubbed “Arkansas’ Ocean”, is 50 miles long with over 200 islands for picnicing and relaxing…….. it is a vacation paradise for those who love boating and fishing, kayaking and scuba diving. If you are up for a real treat, take a morning or late day cruise with Captain Jim on our new 22 ft. pontoon on Lake Ouachita. See the wildlife and all the birds and glimpse "The Natural State" in all it's glory!

In a nutshell... the Village and surrounding area is “the whole package”, a great vacation destination or lifestyle choice for retirees or an entire family!

About Jill Anderson

Greetings from Jim and Jill Anderson and Hot Springs Village! Jill is a real estate broker and Jim has been a general contractor for 30 years, building everything from golf resorts to custom homes in PA, CO and AR. During the 90's in Durango, CO, we owned and operated Country Sunshine Bed and Breakfast. We miss many things about Colorado... including the awesome beauty, but we don't miss the cold, the snow and the high prices!

Jill Anderson purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Jill Anderson chose Arkansas

Today we are happily living the good life in Hot Springs Village. We decided on the Village after much on-line and in-person research. We wanted a beautiful spot, with low cost of living and lots of amenities that would be close to our children in Mississippi and Texas. We purchased our Troza Lane townhome in 2006 and lived in it while we built our new home here. Later, we decided to keep the townhome and make it available to friends and family who visit and occasional paying guests. We have had so many requests for bookings that we decided in 2008 to add our guest apartments, here at the house, to give us three vacation rental options. So, now we have something for everyone and since we love hosting people who come to the Village to explore, play and enjoy themselves, we are truly in our element…..it’s almost like the B&B, but without the Breakfast!

What makes this apartment unique

We furnish our units with comfortable furniture and quality bedding. They are all nicely decorated with things we love….a few “family' antiques, original art and momentos we have picked up on our many travels. We are dog friendly, knowing that since our golden Gracie and our border collie, Mac, are part of our family, your canine companions must be too! We look forward to making one of our vacation rentals your “home away from home”!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Jill and Jim: Randy and I had a wonderful time here in your lovely apartment. We loved everything about it from the homey feel, to the luxurious king size bed, to the babbling brook and the awesome deck and view - just to name a few. Thank you for everything and you can bet that we'll be back!

Private, cozy, beautiful furnishings. Looks brand new!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is extremely well maintained with good taste and loving touches. I hate to call it an apartment because it didn't seem like one. It's part of a large house and the owners live upstairs. However you have your own private entrance and we never saw the owners. Felt very private and secluded. Bed was perfect. Sheets were luxurious. The only thing missing is a stove and who wants to cook on vacation anyway? Not me. (Toaster oven, microwave, and hot plate available but we didn't need those). The view of woods and creek were so relaxing. I wish I hadn't just had knee surgery because I wanted to walk down the steps and enjoy the bench by the water. Can't wait to come back here and stay longer!

Forest Glen is located in beautiful Hot Springs Village. Property is located in a wooded area with a brook running at the bottom of the property. It was so peaceful and quiet. The apartment was perfect and comfortable. We hope to be able to return in the fall for another week.

Perfect, Quaint Get-Away!

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for my husband and me. We both have stressful jobs, and this was the perfect place for us to rest and enjoy the beautiful quiet! There's just something sweet and simple about hearing babbling brooks and seeing lightening bugs. The apartment was perfect - so clean and even better than the pictures described! Just pack a bag because everything else is waiting for you! Beautiful stay at a beautiful place.

The beauty of the place was amazing

  • 3 of 5

The place is everything it says, very nice, the landscape is beautiful and the sound of the water is so tranquil, but I do have to say that for us, it was not what we were looking for. We usually stay at VRBO's when we vacation and get the entire house to ourselves. And while this place was beautiful, it does not mention that the owners are there above you the entire time. It felt like an invasion of privacy for us. Our goal was to get away and just be alone for our honeymoon and we had people walking around above us, the dog barking and when he scratched it was a thumping sound like someone was hammering. Although the third day, there actually was someone hammering on the wall. Also, there is no a/c control downstairs, so when it was freezing cold in the apartment, we had no control so we had a very cold evening until they got cold upstairs and turned on the heat, then it was overwhelmingly hot in our apartment.

This is not to discourage anyone from staying. It was beautiful, it just wasn't for us and we will not return there again. Next time we visit Hot Springs we will make sure that we have the entire house to ourselves. I guess it should have been a clue when we had to fill out a questionnaire about ourselves and why we were wanting to stay there.

Owner's Response: Thanks for writing. We always appreciate it when our guests take the time to submit a review for one of our apartments. Positive reviews help us to keep doing the things that make our guest spaces appealing and negative reviews give us much needed feedback for making improvements. We are pleased that you enjoyed the forest setting and our beautiful stream....it is such a relaxing space for us, too. Regarding your expectation that his was a stand alone house. I believe that reading the description of this property would probably have led you to choose another location.... an entire house, as you stated. Our headings are the first indication of what we have..... Forest Glen Lanai Apartment and Sunny Oaks Studio Apartment. However, the photos of the front of the house may have mislead you and if that's the case, we apologize. We like to give our guests a visual of the house so that they know they have arrived at the correct location. Unfortunately, we were in Colorado and not in residence during your stay. We had our property manager stay here, looking after the property and our dogs during our absence. I'm sorry that you did not alert him to the issues you were having with temperature control, as he could have shown you how to use the fireplace heater/baseboard controls and/or open a couple of windows. Our air conditioning is not turned on until late May or early June, depending on the weather. I think the barking may have been a direct result of our property manager bringing his dog over when he was here..... We will make certain that doesn't happen in the future .......our own two dogs are very quiet and rarely bark. I'm puzzled and concerned about the reference you made to a questionnaire regarding your desire to stay here. We have never used anything like that during the 10 years we have been offering vacation rentals. Since you booked this apartment directly through VRBO, perhaps this is something that they have instituted? I do notice that you offered information in your inquiry about celebrating your 30th anniversary.

This place is perfect for families, couples and anybody looking for a nice peaceful vacation! When we got there I was shocked at how gorgeous the inside and outside was! It was so much better than what they show in the pictures! If I ever go back to Hot Springs this is where I'll be staying!
