FREE FOR OUR GUESTS ~ Internet service and long distance phone service. Free! : DSL Wireless Internet service is provided at Snuffy's Shack free of charge! Please take your laptop for access. The upstaris loft has a skylight, a ceiling fan and there's a door leading a deck. We recommend that children are cautioned and warned about the deck. As new owners in 2007, we replaced the railing because it was not up to code, but children do like to climb and should be watched carefully. The shed has an interesting story re:
the name "Head". The family that owned the cabin before us had that last name and so they labeled the doors and made it look like an outhouse. We thought it was cool enough to keep that way, in fact, we loved it!
Hello! My name is Gwen Morris. My husband, Richard is retired from a 26 year Air Force career and we are both retired from Civil Service. We live in Middle Georgia. I am originally from Ft. Gaines GA and Albany GA. Richard is originally from San Antonio TX and Naples FL. We have two daughters, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
We love Snuffy's Shack and we hope our guests love it too!
Gwen Morris purchased this cabin in 2007
Of course, the first thing we noticed was the mountain scenery, it was spectacular the day we came to look at the property. When we stepped into the living room area, it was WOW all over again because the flooring, walls and ceilings are heart of pine. The kitchen is unique with wood cabinet doors made of chicken screen wire. Arriving at the cabin, we entered thru the front porch. After touring the cabin, we stepped outside to a screened in back porch....and a very large deck attached. The master bath has a Jacuzzi. The L-shaped loft upstairs has a small deck attached. This cabin is so unique and beautiful and our family loves coming here to relax. It's the best place in the world to be!
Free unlimited long distance phone calls to the USA only. Free Windstream DSL Internet service, DIRECT TV for your entertainment and family board games. Porch sitting on the screened back porch is a favorite activity for most guests, who enjoy watching the clouds form animals, angels and other forms around the mountain. Beyond the screened porch, there is a large deck equipped with a gas grill, an outdoor table with four chairs, a hammock and deck furniture. It's a perfect place for guests to gather as a family to have a sunset cookout.
As with any vacation, we will reminisce. But this wonderful place is different. Our minds will cling to the beautiful vistas, to the constant and constantly changing mountains, to the tranquility and the humanity in all of this Our hearts, however, will remain and will hold to what we have found .for and in ourselves in this treasure. Thank you.

My wife and I really enjoyed celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary at Snuffy's Shack. This cozy little cabin had more than enough to make the weekend great. The views out of the cabin are beautiful, it was very clean and well kept. And you can't beat the price. I highly recommend this cabin.
Your cabin was just the perfect dream cabin. These pictures just don't do it justice. We knew the moment we stepped in the cabin that this was a great place. If I were to buy a home in Georgia, this would be the one. Your cabin was well stocked and great directions to all the interworkings of the cabin. The screened in porch was my favorite place. The bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and hope to come back soon. Thank you Gwen
Thank you Gwen for checking in on us. We had a wonderful time! Can't wait to visit again. Your cabin is quite the gem!
Snuffy's Shack went beyond our expectations. All the comforts of home. Talked with the owners several times, they are such kind people to deal with, they went above and beyond. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely remember about this place next time we're in the area.

You're not aware of all the ambient noise that surrounds your everyday life until it's gone. At Snuffie's it was so quiet and the bedroom so dark that we slept until 9:45 one day! And the bed is perfectly soft, not hard as a rock like some cabins. The back porch is so big and half of it is screened and roofed. One rainy day we sat out there reading and doing a jigsaw puzzle almost the entire day! While here we found excellent meat at Bitter Creek Meats and great produce at Ingles. Then to walk off the calories we took several hikes some including waterfalls of different kinds. The hiking trails were 30 minutes to an hour away but worth it. Our hosts were wonderful and responded to any questions immediately. We definitely hope to return some day.
