Lake Neuruppin and surrounding lakes offer excellent opportunities for bird-watching. Black kites, red kites, storks and cranes regularly breed around Lake Neuruppin. Cranes can be observed in hundreds during migration season. We have observed ospreys in the vicinity. Sea eagles are regularly spotted in the region, golden eagles occasionally.
