If this unit is booked we have two other condos in the building.This oceanfront, corner, unit with floor to ceiling windows along two walls looks into the harbour in downtown Victoria. We also can accommodate some two day rentals

Sit on your private covered balcony and watch the boats in the inner and upper harbours during the day and the sunsets at night.

Walk to all downtown amenities. Take in whale watching, kayaking, water taxi and biking right outside your door on the wharf. BBQ or relax on the roof top patio.

Located in the heart of downtown Victoria in the Mermaid building. On the waterfront of the harbour and the edge of the Gorge waterway, the Mermaid Building allows its guests to experience downtown Victoria, the Inner Harbour, the Gorge Waterway, the ocean, the upper part of the island and Vancouver, with ease.

Some of Victoria’s most popular restaurants surround the building, making it easy to have gourmet meals with out the worry of taxis or drinking and driving.

Take a Whale watching tour right outside the door. Or rent a kayak and glide through the harbour to the open ocean to discover the Pacific’s wild life. Or paddle up the Gorge waterway and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Salmon Fish with a charter or rent a power boat and just take it easy touring Victoria from the water’s perspective.

Just steps away, the harbour sea planes take passengers in a half hour flight to downtown Vancouver, offering great shopping on Robson street, Theatres, Stanley Park and more, and all in a day allowing one to return home for dinner.

The Mermaid neighbours Historic China Town with its many vegetable stores, restaurants and curio shops.

Romantic horse drawn carriages carry passengers through the inner harbour past the parliament buildings, the world famous Royal BC Museum, live entertainment, Underwater Sea Gardens, Omnimax Theatre, Miniature World, Double Decker sight seeing tours, and tour buses to the renowned Butchart Gardens.

Cycle, stroll, run, or even ride a horse on the picturesque Galloping Goose Trail. This multi-use trail, formerly a railway line, moves right beside the Mermaid Building, through urban, rural and wilderness scenery on its 55-kilometre journey from Victoria to Sooke. Whether you're commuting to work, meandering on a weekend afternoon or pacing yourself from Sidney to Sooke, the trail is yours to enjoy.

Catch the little Harbour Ferry stopping at the Mermaid and travel right up the Gorge waterway to Tillicum and down to the Empress.

Nothing has been spared in furnishing this space. It is fully equipped with a 32 inch flat screen Smart TV, DVD player, high speed Wifi internet and modem, microwave, dishwasher, stove, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped.

We have had such a great visit in your lovely city. Such a nice escape from the cold. We really enjoyed the magnificent sunsets. We found it so easy to walk everywhere. A real plus. Being right in the heart of the old town was lovely to enjoy the independent boutiques and restaurants. We would choose this part of the city again. The condo is so modern and beautifully equipped. Although the condo is not large, we did not feel cramped. Everything is full sized. We would like to recommend the condo to all. Please feel free to post this letter on your web site

perfect in every way

central location, harbor views-something always to watch. walked to dinner every nite. Next to Gallooping Goose bike trail. El Terrazzo resturant is a must (make reservations next to one of the many fireplaces. The caretaker Francis is a gem, he will give you more info and dish the local gossip while making you feel welcome. We have put this spot on our rotation for annual visits. When leaving on the Clipper Ferry, get a drink at the Days Inn bar, the manager Rob is the gregarious host ever.

This was our second stay in this unit, and the experience was much better than the first time, mostly because it was so hot inside. There is not enough air movement inside to keep the suite cool in the afternoon. during the summer months. It could really use some AC.

The property was exactly as pictured on the website and immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped for people who love to cook with up-to-date appliances. The view of the surrounding landscape is interesting and constantly changing and extremely entertaining.

Great location for exploring Victoria

Stylish studio condo in perfect location for exploring Victoria, just a short block off of Wharf Street which is the border of Downtown Victoria. From it, a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown, 10 min walk along the waterfront to inner harbor. The property matched the listing description, was clean and well maintained, was across the street from Canoe Brewpub and a few blocks from Swans with countless restaurants all within walking distance. Great view, 180 degrees; very comfy bed. It was cloudy/rainy while we were there, but I imagine you'd get great sunsets. Will add that the correspondence with the owner and representatives was excellent. We were met at the property and given a whole tour, not just given a key. That was a nice touch. And because we came on the clipper and our phones didn't work in Canada, it was especially nice that we were well accommodated by someone who was waiting for us to arrive as we couldn't just call when we arrived. Yes, there is a fair amount of urban noise here ranging from music at the nearby brewpub, festive groups outside, seagulls/trash service in the a.m. etc. so I will admit it isn't the quietest place. It did not bother us. I would highly recommend this rental.
