The only reason I hesitate to give this review is because I'd like to keep it all to myself as our little secret get-away. We, (the three of us all in our late fifties), booked the downstairs at the last minute for a long overdue and much needed weekend of rest and relaxation and this was the perfect place. Just watch out for whoever is upstairs running the water hose on you or flipping cigarette butts and ashes down. All you need is your clothes and food. The beach, just a few steps away is almost like your own private beach especially at night and far enough from the hustle and bustle and tourism. We spent most of our time on the patio enjoying the cool sea breeze and watching the waves roll in, so relaxing. The time was just too short and went by way too fast and we are looking forward for a chance to go back. The only reason I don't recommend it is so that it will be available when we get that chance to go again, how selfish of me! Thanks Bob and Karol for the perfect weekend.

Great Place for the money!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 2 nights in the downstairs duplex rental. It was fantastic! It had everything we needed and was very spacious. The beach access was great and you can see the beach from the porch and 1st bedroom window. We had company come for the day and everyone just loved it. The beds were decent and the sofa made into a bed if needed. It was a little bit of a hike to the seawall area, but loved the getaway from the hustle and bustle feel. Would definitely stay again.

perfect spot

  • 5 of 5

Could not have asked for more. We had the upstairs. It was perfect. It had everything we needed. If you are going to go hang out at the beach this is the spot for you. From the wrap around porch you can see and hear the water. You can walk to the beach i about a minute. The beach is clean and was not crowded at all. There was plenty of room to spread out all your stuff. If you want to fish there were lots of people fishing in the morning and the evenings. They were catching fish. There was plenty of room to still swim with the people fishing.

This is a perfect place if you just want to relax at the beach and hang out with family and friends.

If you like to sit outside the upstairs patio is perfect. It is large and wraps around the house. You have plenty of seating and have a good view of the water. It is covered so you are sitting in the shade.

What a wonderful place!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful experience in this house from the start. Booking was simple and very accomadating. When we arrived everything was nice and clean. For the price of both units i was sure something wasnt going to be good! I was glad i was wrong. Everything was wonderful. We plan on coming back next year as well. Maybe we can plan it better when there is not dead fish all over the beach from red tide. Still wasnt bad though. It was nice to be so close to the beach and not alot of ppl. Also we left a couple things there and they were nice enough to mail it back to me. Wonderful place and wonderful ppl!! Thanks again!!

fantastic beach retreat

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the downstairs unit. You can see the beach from the twin bedroom window. So pleasant sitting out on the patio in am and at night. Easy walk to the beach. Loved the beach decor and everything about our stay. Bring your own beach chairs and beach umbrella( I did).

All the basics available in the house. Laundry handy. Did not hear noise from road; never saw upstairs tenants, so it felt very private. Weather was perfect, saw a rainbow one day. I definitely would stay here again and the affordable price made it possible. Thanks. jdallas

Our vacay was July 21 22 and 23. Walked into an absolutely great location. Clean and neat. Comfortable. Just as described. Coffee, shampoo, laundry shop all there for you. Plentiful towels. Nice beds to sleep on. Great view of the beach. Incredibly maintained. Best Value. Would rent again in a heart beat. We also rented a Golf Cart from Rick's Beach Rental which is literally less than a half mile away. The kids loved that too. Thanks for sharing your place!
