Wonderful Vacation Rental!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I always wanted to visit Maine and this was the perfect "home base" for our trip. This location is about an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We spent our days exploring and returned in the evening to eat our fresh lobster! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the pier/dock everyday. No matter what time of day we were relaxing by the water, it was always amazing! The lobster boats, birds, bald eagles and the ever changing tide kept us amused. Don't forget to get up early for the sunrise - you will never forget it! We had never kayaked before and truly enjoyed kayaking in the calm waters of the cove. A review would not be complete if we didn't mention our hosts. Bonnie and Mark were wonderful. They always had suggestions for places to eat and things to do. When we return, we will stay here again!

We arrived in the dark and woke up to the amazing view in the morning. The cottage was clean and bright and had everything we needed. Very quiet and private.

Beautiful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a week. It was absolutely PERFECT!! The cottage was better than pictures and perfect for the both of us. Bonnie was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants. The favorite part of our stay was the sunrise here. Make sure to not miss it!! Absolutely surreal on the dock. Between the moose, birds, and beautiful colors it's something out of a movie! We greatly enjoyed our stay and would love to return some day!!

Peaceful and serene

  • 5 of 5

Had the privilege of staying at this amazing cottage for a couple nights, very last minute. Upon arrival, it was clean and exactly as advertised! Clean, furnished, on the harbor. We heard geese, ducks, and well, I'm not sure about the other birds, but it was amazing. We had s'mores on the fire pit, tried to watch a sunrise, but was overcast both mornings. That didn't stop me from enjoying the view, and watching the fishermen going out for the day. We'll be back, Bonnie is terrific to deal with, went out of her way with eatery suggestions, and things to do. She suggested Campobello, FDR's summer home, a beautiful trip, well worth the hour + drive up. Be sure you have a passport, as its Canadian! Thanks for your hospitality and graciousness.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This small vacation house is the perfect place for a romantic, peaceful, getaway. My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and this was everything we could have asked for. The house was emaculate and adorable. We were away from any other house, and had quite a bit of land to explore. There are two kayaks and a canoe if you're interested, and a couple of small islands you can go out to. Absolutely stunning. They also have a nice fire pit with marshmallow skewers. I talked with Bonnie, the owner, a couple of times over the phone and she is very nice and she really wanted to make sure we had the perfect vacation at her place. In hindsight, I really wish we would have spent more time just relaxing here instead of driving to Acadia, Bar Harbor, etc. It is definitely a place we will never forget. Thank you so much!

This place is about 1 hour from Acadia, so plan accordingly. Also, the cell phone signal is spotty and no internet.
