Couldn't have asked for anything more

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over the Easter break for 8 nights and the condo was exactly as advertised. Amazing view from the lanai, especially with the doors that recess into the walls. We were never in the condo awake with the doors closed. The pool area was busy but never overcrowded. There were enough kids at the kid pool to keep my kids occupied but the adult pool was never noisy. The beach area was amazing. Hardly anyone there, good snorkeling and no waves. We went to Waikiki one day and boy did that ever make us feel like we made the right decision. Such a night and day difference between the two places. If you are looking for a relaxing place to be on Oahu, this is the place.

Kelly provides maps, restaurant suggestions, beach toys and chairs, even waterproof containers for your credit and room card. The recipe book on the counter has a good recipe for Mai Tai's in it, if you are interested in such things. If not the pool bar made the best Mai Tai we had in Hawaii.

Driving around the island isn't bad, just avoid rush hour. There is a good selection of restaurants at the nearby resorts and in Kapolei.

I can't see myself ever coming back to Oahu and staying anywhere else.

We somehow managed to miss the sunset every night we were there so I guess we will have to go back. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Soothing, sun-kissed Ko Olina sanctuary

  • 5 of 5

Nothing but positive, glowing praise on our end for Kelly and her crew at the Ko Olina Beach Villas for providing two genuinely stress-free, soothing weeks of rest and relaxation over Christmas and New Year's 2011/12. Amazing sunset vistas from the lanai, plenty of whale pod sightings out on the horizon, luxurious accommodations, fully appointed kitchen — we were constantly surprised and never disappointed. Lush, landscaped lagoons a stone's throw from the building, plenty of recreational opportunities, Paradise Cove luau and nearby restaurants and amenities means you never have to stray far from your vacation home — and when you're staying in a place like this, you'll find you don't want to, anyway. We spent more nights hanging out on the lanai or enjoying the pools and hot tubs than we did exploring other parts of the island. Ko Olina is its own little gated-community paradise, well removed from the hectic and often tourist-y hustle-bustle of Waikiki. A real gem, and well worth the investment. Only three days into our stay we all looked at each other and said "We're definitely coming back here. SOON." In my opinion, it can't be soon enough. From now on, this will be our Hawaii home away from home. Aloha, Mahalo and Mele Kalikimaka!

Stop everything & book the vacation of a lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had the incredible opportunity to stay in this unit for 3 months this year and couldnt have been happier. Traveling for Marriott we have seen so much of the world and have stayed in thousands of top notch places and this is certainly one of our favorites. The views are stunning, overlooking its gorgeous pools, palm trees and ocean. The house is stocked with everything you could ask for and more. Its located on the best ocean lagoon where swimming with turtles can be an everyday activity. Snorkeling is just steps away and restaurants, shopping and stunning beaches are all within a short walk from this perfectly located condo centered in the prettiest part of the entire island of Oahu. The beds were amazingly comfy and we wanted for nothing. Owners are fabulous and made sure we were happy during our entire stay. Couldnt ask for a better place to hang our hats. Thank you Kelly for the most memorable experience in your beautiful home!

Ko Olina Vacation

  • 5 of 5

From Europe to Asia, San Diego to Toronto, Florida Keys to Seattle- this was by far our favorite destination yet! Thanks Makai Family Vacations! If you are looking to get away from your everyday mundane routine, we recommend this this villa. It has everything you need for your family vacation. But the best part was the stunning view of the ocean and pool area. We hope to make this our annual "Family Retreat."

Top notch accommodations and location!

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing place! Of the 3 places we stayed on Oahu, this condo was by far the best! We stayed a few nights in a Marriott Hotel in Waikiki, then rented a house right on the water on the South East coast of the Island, and then spent a week at Ko Olina. The accommodations were beautiful! Everything you need is in the unit, and the view is spectacular from the lanai! We especially loved how the doors seemed to disappear into the wall, combining the indoor and outdoor living spaces. Another plus we were not expecting was how uncrowded the development was. We walked along the ocean path to the Marriott hotel to one side, and the pool was incredibly busy. We walked the other direction to the timeshare development, and again were amazed with how many people were there. The Beach Villas were much more private, with room to swim in the pools and sit at the beach. We highly recommend this unit. It comfortably accommodated our family of 6, yet would be a great romantic getaway as well. Our 13 year son has decided that when he goes on his honeymoon, this is where he wants to stay!!

Hopefully we will be able to return in the not too distant future!

Best Place Ever

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our son (20) and daughter (18) just got back after spending almost two weeks at this condo. it was absolutely beautiful with all the comforts of home, and enough space to spread out.

Nothing beats sitting on the lanai, enjoying breakast and morning coffee or the specatacular sunsets. We had a clear view of the ocean and it was fun to sit outside and watch the world go by.

We found we didn't want to go in to Waikiki much....preferring to relax at the pool or the lagoon, use the fitness centre or just walk around on all the jogging paths that wind around the resort.

Shopping is so close....Costco, Target, Safeway, Longs Drugs all within 10 minutes, so you can easily pick up whatever food/snacks you might need.

The outlets about 20 minutes away if you like high end shopping.

The grounds and walkways are stunning--beautifully landscaped with water features, fish, and flowers/plants; we made good use of the bbqs, and the whole complex is very clean and well maintained. The appliances are all top of the line and the unit itself is well stocked with dishes, pots, towels, etc. The beds are extremely comfortable, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer in the suite.

The underground parking was a nice bonus, and we had lots of room for our larger car.

Getting around the island was easy from Ko Olina, with it being right off the H1 freeway. A nice touch were the tour books/guides in the suite and the detailed handbook.

Our hosts were fabulous and we would highly recommend this place to anyone. The staff at the resort...actually people in Hawaii in general...are all so friendly and helpful.

It was a breeze to book this vacation---all we had to do was pick up our keys, and relax! It was a shame we had to go home.

The sandy beaches of the lagoons in Ko Olina, provide a safe environment for children of all ages because the water is calm and easy to swim in. Snorkeling is a must in lagoon 2!! You will find the beach peaceful, uncrowded, and very enjoyable.

Follow the meandering path through the lagoons to the world class marina. This full service marina provides a home for services for scuba diving, snorkeling, whale & dolphin watching, deep sea fishing, and other ocean excursions.

In the evenings, experience a traditional Luau and an exquisite Hawaiian meal a short walk away in Paradise Cove or on Tuesdays at the Marriott Beach club. You may enjoy dinning at the J.W. Marriott ‘Ihilani Resort and Spa on Lagoon 1 or the Marriott Beach Club on Lagoon 2. Try a round of golf at the challenging championship golf course directly behind the villas.
