I grew up in Northern California skiing the slopes of Lake Tahoe, while my wife grew up in Southern California and enjoyed the beach scene. We now have 2 young kids and we love spending time together and creating memorable lifelong experiences in Mammoth, whether we are skiing in the winter or enjoying all the summer mountain activities. I use Mammoth Mountain as my primary training venue for FreeSkiing World Tour events that I compete in during the winters. As an avid competion FreeSkier, my dream has always been to own a moutain condo at a world class ski resort. After meeting my wife and settling in Southern California, we were naturally drawn to Mammoth for skiing. Soon we began to visit Mammoth in the summertime and we instantly recognized how much Mammoth has to offer all year round!!! As our family started to grow, I wanted to make an investment in a place where my family could enjoy quality time together for the years to come during all 4 seasons. Mammoth was that place!!!!

Rental was as advertised. Modern, clean and well stocked. Close to town and the large living area allowed for my family and 2 toddlers to enjoy time together. Damon provided all info necessary to make this an enjoyable and worry free stay. I highly recommend this townhome!
House was perfect. Clean, lots of room, comfortable beds. Kids loved getting in the hot tub and playing in the area behind the condo. Damon was very quick to respond when we had questions. Definitely recommended.
Finding a mountain retreat for a family of eleven is not an easy thing to do but this 3-bedroom + loft, 2-bath, two-story condo was perfect for our three generation group of six adults & five kids (3 - 8 years of age). From the moment I booked, the owner was responsive and thorough. The condo's location was great for an active group, especially walking distance to Mammoth Community Park for the kids and pretty Fall photography by Mammoth Creek. It's situated about a mile from the Von's for grocery shopping & great hometown coffee shops and five miles or so (if you take Old Mammoth Road up to Lake Mary Road) for fun shore or float tube fishing at Lake Mamie (all five of our grandkids caught a fish!) My brother-in-law rented a pontoon boat at the Lake Mary Marina a couple of weeks earlier & said it was a fun family excursion. Drive a little further up Lake Mary Road to Horseshoe Lake and ride your bicycle down the scenic paved nine mile bike trail into town (even our six year old grandson did this!) The condo itself was clean, nicely decorated with updated bathrooms (towels, shampoo, soap & Kleenex provided) and a big, comfortable L-shaped sofa with a big ottoman in the great room. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, bowls, pots & pans, even a wok & blender and has a big eat-in dining table. The beds are comfortable but it would be really great if a queen bed could be exchanged in the room for the double bed with the bunk. There's a nice deck (second story) with a small table and two chairs for wildlife viewing (saw the same buck a couple of days in a row) and plenty of room to store bikes and fishing gear when not in use. Since we stayed at the end of September/first of October, the pool was closed but we used and enjoyed the 10-person spa. An onsite, coin operated laundry is next to the spa. I liked the location of this condo, which was at the back and far end of the complex, where there was plenty of parking. I should have realized this was a second and third story condo when I read "wheelchair inaccessible" so if you have knee, hip or back problems, you may have difficulty climbing the 15 steps. For the past 35 years, our family has stayed at an old Forest Service rustic cabin with the bathroom in a separate building so all of us really were happy with the condo, except for my husband, whose only regret was not having a fireplace to build his nightly fire (the condo has a pellet stove). We definitely would stay here again!

Location is perfect - easy to get around town and short distance to grocery store, park and walk/bike trail. Unit is very nice and good for many people. Upstairs has numerous beds and one full bath. Stairs to unit were a bit steep for me. Complex is very nice. Nice forest view.

The condo directly overlooks Mammoth Creek Nature Park where your family and friends can enjoy playing in the snow, playing on the jungle gym and slides, playing or fishing at Mammoth Creek, accessing walking, running or biking trails and enjoying the views of the Sherwin Mountain range and nature park, all without having to drive anywhere!! (This is a great asset especially when you have to deal with large groups and kids). In addition, you won't feel like you are staying in a typical Mammoth condo with the location, proximity to the nature park and views this condo provides (as they say, Location, Location, Location).
