This beautiful fully equipped luxury condo is located at Kelowna's Exclusive Sunset Waterfront resort (the tallest building in Kelowna). The convenience of downtown is evident with an abundance of nearby shopping, restaurants and nightlife. This also allows visitors to have front row seats to all festivals and events that occur at Kelowna City Park.
At 2600sf, unit comfortably sleeps 8 people and is located conveniently on the 20th floor for privacy and luxury above the building's outdoor pool and tennis courts. Unit includes two large balconies, perfect for social gatherings with an unobstructed view of the lake and marina. Decor is contemporary and modern, with a flat panel televisions, a gas burning fireplace, 2nd floor party room and more.
Master bedroom includes a pillowtop king sized bed as well as another television for entertainment. An en suite bathroom is attached to the master and 2nd bedrooms for added convenience. The 2 story unit is large, spacious and bright which allows in natural light throughout the day.
Guests will not be disappointed as suite has been fully equipped to make your stay feel like you are at home. No amenity has been overlooked.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the penthouse suite (on the 20th floor) during a recent short family getaway to Kelowna. The spacious three-bedroom unit comfortably accommodated 9 of us (6 adults and 3 children) -- every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is a great bonus, especially when travelling with a large group. The view of the lake from the main balcony is the epitome of Kelowna's beauty -- we certainly enjoyed a couple nights on the balcony sipping on wine from local wineries while admiring the breathtaking view. We did make good use of both the indoor and outdoor pools during our short stay. As the Sunset Waterfront is in downtown, it is only a short drive to the internationally-known Mission Hill Family Estate and other family wineries along the wine trail as well as cherry orchards on Teasdale Road. Restaurants, beach, playground and water park are within walking distance of the Sunset Waterfront. Both the kids and adults enjoyed the evening strolls along the beach. Even though our visit to Kelowna was brief, we soaked in the simple life of what Kelowna has to offer as we don't do this often at home due to our hectic lives.
Since we are discerning travellers, we have typically booked all of our travel accommodations with reputable hotel chains and resorts. We had always been skeptical with booking accommodations through VRBO, Airbnb and the like due to scandals reported by the media or experienced by folks not doing the proper research (i.e. travellers showing up to a ramshackle place or the home owner did not exist). This was our first VRBO experience and we must admit that with some skepticism in the beginning, the ending turned out to be quite pleasant and amicable between us and Mike, the owner. Mike greeted us at the unit, showed us around the unit and toured the building with us. He even made sure that we had all means necessary to contact him during our stay should any issue come up -- we certainly appreciated his cordial approach.
We would definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends and family.
The listing photos and description are accurate. The owner (Mike) and property manager (Neville) are very friendly and accomodating. The spacious unit #406 is so beautiful and well equipped. Beds are comfortable and the ice/water dispenser in the fridge was well used! Loved the view of the lake and the canal boat slip while barbequing on the balcony. The boat launch is free and the boat lock was a unique experience. Appreciated the underground parking. Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools but our youngest grandchild needed a stroller to get to the sandy beach. Great fitness room in the complex. Cleaning staff and security for the building were very efficient. Close to restaurants, art galleries, a bird sanctuary, a playground, and entertainment in the parks. Biking paths looked inviting. Eleven days was not enough...next time we will stay longer!
