About Mary Pipkin

My husband and I own and operate a marina and charter fishing service. Our family has been blessed to live here since 1985. It’s quite simply our life. And a good life it is, that we are privileged to share with you. We love our little corner of the world and our business allows us live and work and play on our beloved Chesapeake Bay

Mary Pipkin purchased this studio in 2007

Why Mary Pipkin chose Virginia

We had so many inquiries about where to stay from our customers, we decided to have these lovely cottages built to meet the needs of our regular clientele. It was a greater need than we realized. In addition to fishing customers we now have families, honeymooners and regular folks like you and me longing for the Chesapeake Bay. They come for fun in the sun, fishing and water sports or just the peace and tranquility of being ….. on the Bay.

What makes this studio unique

This is the perfect place for the action packed vacation. Situated right on the Chesapeake Bay and the Inter-coastal Waterway puts you right on top of the best fishing and sailing in the region. Bring your jet ski, small water craft and use our deep water ramp. Book a fishing charter or dinner cruise (on site) to fine waterfront dining. Witness glorious sunrises and restful sunsets. Sparkling fields of fireflies at twilight. The sounds of the sea birds. Or just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a lovely place not yet discovered by most of the world.

Fantastic vacation

  • 5 of 5

Just came back from a week long vacation at the cabins. The cedar cabins are new, cozy and peaceful with all required amenities and incredibly clean. Capt Billy and Mary were the perfect hosts. Provided us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay without being the least intrusive. Ideal location - away from the crowds, but close to activities - cruise to tangier island, fishing, crabbing, fireworks cruise, several beaches without crowds, Washington's birth place monument etc. My 7 and 8 year old boys also loved using the several amenities onsite - play area, volley ball, toys and a family pet dog, appropriately named "buoy". Perfect vacation overall. We will definitely be back!

Owners were great

  • 5 of 5

It was a cozy, almost new, cedar cabin, on owner's land at Marina. Owner's invited us to go on their boat to watch 4th of July fireworks, which we did, it was fabulous.

We had use of a canoe, that we paddled out of inlet to a beautiful sandy beach, owned by our hosts. The cottage was cute and comfortable with front porch. We will definitely return again.

Amazing Weekend!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I rented a cabin for the July 4th weekend. We loved every minute of it. We went out on Captain Billy's charter boat for a sunset tour and to watch the fire works. It was amazing!! The cabins are clean and cozy. Mary and Captain Billy are so nice and made us feel at home. We plan to stay here again on our next fishing trip. Can't wait!!

Ingram Bay Marina - Relaxing and Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Captain Billy and Mary Pipkin are two of the most hospitable hosts you will ever meet. Ingram Bay Marina is a full service Marina, and the cabins are impeccably decorated and very comfortable. Of all of the places you can stay on the Chesapeake Bay, including the Eastern Shore, Ingram Bay Marina is the most relaxing and beautiful location. Captain Billy knows where the fish are and Mary epitomizes Bay hospitality. Be sure to check out Ingram Bay's first fishing tournament on 13 August. There will be a live band, fun for the kids, and multiple winners of all ages.

Cozy Cabin by the Bay

  • 5 of 5

Mary and Cpt. Billy are wonderful owners of Inghram Bay Marina and the two cozy cabins. Perfect for boaters who own a small craft. Great ramp, fuel, slips for transant boaters and Cpt Billy can put you on the fish in his bay style charter boat "Liquid Assets". We stayed in the Gull cabin which was spotlessly clean , well equipped kitchen net, nice firm queen bed, loft has two twin beds but headroom is only enough for kids. We cooked our catch on the furnished gas grill and shared it with our neighbors next door. Bring your own food because there aren't many restaurants close by. We did go to K-C's about five miles away for a petty good seafood dinner and to Kilmarnick for brunch at the Kilmarnick Inn B&B about 10 miles down the road. Go have a cocktail at the gazebo and watch the sun set...we did and enjoyed every minute. Can't wait to get back down to the bay👍👍👍

We had a BLAST!! Perfect place for couples, families, and boaters!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I ran away for 3 nights and 4 days. No Kids! We had a great time. We brought the boat with us, the boat ramp was very nice, and easy. The covered slips were too nice, making us now want one. We caught crab right off the slip. Awesome day trip to Tangier Island and we had a blast fishing every day. Took the boat to the "Mad Crab" one evening and enjoyed the BEST mahi and crab legs EVER. We spent every night sitting on the wooden porch swing , and we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful gazebo in the early evening. Had breakfast and coffee outside in the "courtyard" right next to cabin every morning. Captain Billy can tell you all his great fishing spots too! We have stayed in many cabins around the MD/VA area and this cabin was by far our favorite one. Very clean, anything you need is there, and very roomy. The loft is perfect for kids and we can't wait to come back in a couple weeks this time with our kids. Great place to sit in the gazebo relax while kids play volleyball, ride bikes, beautiful brick/stone fire pit for making s'mores, and crabbing and fishing from the seawall. This place would be super awesome for a family gathering or just two families wanting to have separate cabins and lots of fun! I can't see anyone not having fun here!!
