Fabulous stay at Seabreeze
We we looking for a comfortable home from home experience in the East Neuk and Seabreeze was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of space for 2 energetic children, mum and dad and gran. The accommodation was totally spotless and offered all the mod cons. Location wise it was a short walk into town and to the beech. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning.
I wanted somewhere that could accommodate my family to celebrate my 60th birthday. This accommodation ticked all the boxes
We enjoyed our September weekend at Seabreeze very much. (3 nights).
Location is fantastic if you crave peace and quiet. Lovely walks around Crail and close to St Andrews for retail therapy.
Seabreeze is immaculate and great thought has went into providing you with everything you need for a perfect break.
We look forward to returning very soon.
Excellent property, perfect for our trip, and exceeded expectations. Owner, Marion, is outstanding and easy to communicate with. Now the good stuff, Seabreeze is less than a mile from Balcomie Links, the 7th oldest course in the world, excellent course with a sister course (championship course designed in late 90's) which is also excellent. We went for St. Andrews but one could stay in Crail and be happy with it's two great courses. DWI laws in Scotland are tough, there is a hotel with a good pub less than 50 yards away, and another pub a quarter mile walk away. This is just a super nice property with excellent management, about 10 miles from St. Andrews. Plus there is Taxi service that will pick you up in Crail and take you to the club house in St. Andrews and return you to the condo for about 20 pounds each way.
a highlight of our trip
It was such a blessing to have this restful home base to stay in. Marion is such a great host. Everything was clean and beautiful and nicely setup for us to have a great time away from home. Thank you Marion!
Fantastic property with great location
Well equipped well furnished good location and excellent communication with the owner. Will definitely return
The ‘East Neuk’ of Fife is one of Scotland’s best-kept secrets. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is very popular for coastal and golfing holidays. Crail is approximately 10 miles along the coast from St.Andrews, the home of golf.
Crail is one of the best-preserved East Neuk fishing villages and it has one of the most picturesque harbours in Scotland. But it is more than just a tourists destination; it has a local butcher’s, a traditional greengrocer’s, a fish and chip shop where you can now eat in as well as take away , a whole foods store, and 2 small supermarkets.
There is a family-run pottery, a local museum and the wonderful Crail Harbour Tearoom which is located close to the harbour. It has a sheltered sea-facing terrace and serves delicious lunch and cakes as well as dressed crab from the villages fishing's fleet.
There is also 3 small hotels/bars located within Crail which serve lunch and dinner.
There are three small sandy beaches in Crail . The nearest is Roome bay beach which is only 300m from Seabreeze, while a five minute drive takes you to Cambo Sands near Kingsbarns, which has half a mile of beautiful golden sands.
The Fife Coastal Path runs from North Queensferry (situated next to the Forth Rail Bridge), to Newport-on-Tay which is near Dundee.
This pathway runs along the length of Crail and is only 300 metres from our holiday home. The path, which can be walked in easily managed sections, runs through several nature reserves with great chances to sight seabirds, seals and dolphins.
Anstruther is about 4 miles south of Crail and can be walked to via the Fife Coastal Path. It is home to the Scottish Fisheries museum and the world famous Anstruther fish bar as well as the Cellar restaurant which was recently awarded its 1st Michelin star.
St Andrews is a historic University town as well as being "the home of golf ". It has 2 wonderfully long sandy beaches and has a wide range of restaurants and cafes to try out.
There are seven local golf courses including the most recent Castle course and of course the world renowned 'Old Course '.
Kingsbarns Golf Links is only 2.5 miles from Crail and is one my favourite golf courses and is one of the best in Europe.
