About Tom Watkins
I am a writer working in New York.
Tom Watkins purchased this Apartment in 1982
Why Tom Watkins chose Flatiron District
Because it is in a great location from which the city's attractions are easily accessible -- steps off FifthAvenue between Flatiron, just to the south; Murray Hill, a block to the east; and Midtown, whose southern tip begins four blocks to the north. It's in the center of the Persian rug district, two blocks south of Korea Town and four blocks north of Madison Square Park.
What makes this Apartment unique
A clean, quiet, calm, orderly and safe place of refuge that is within walking distance of many of New York's attractions.

Best place in NYC
I've never stayed in a more beautiful studio in New York, for such an affordable price! Clean, well decorated, and with central air. Tom was also incredibly responsive and so friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better stay.
Absolutely Wonderful & Highly Recommend
I can't begin to express how much I enjoyed staying at this property. Tom was accessible 24/7 and his communication was on point. The apartment was extremely clean and way bigger than expected. Although the online photos are great, they don't do it justice. The location was perfect. It almost felt like we were in the center of it all, which was exactly what my husband and I wanted. I highly recommend staying here. There are subways are right around the corner and food on every block. We'll definitely be booking this property again in the future. Thank you Tom!!!
Great little apartment for an authentic NY vacation
My husband and I spent a long week-end in the city and this studio apartment was perfect for us. The kitchen has all the staples you need, including coffee, cream and sugar. The bed is very comfortable and the location is perfect - close to everything. The subway is only a couple blocks away - if you're in town more than a few days, buy the unlimited 7 day pass for $32. While there is construction going on outside and a bit noisy, it's all part of the authentic New York experience. Tom was easy to reach and gave us some great tips on places to check out. Loved this hidden little gem and will stay here again on our next trip.
The apartment is conveniently located in mid-town in an area where we felt safe. It is clean and the bed is very comfortable with quality bedding. Tom was quick to respond and communicate with any inquiries.
Nice Place to Stay
A very nice place to stay - very clean and comfortable. It is small, but the perfect size for what I needed.
Thanks to my guest for her kind review. I have no doubt that someone from Oklahoma, which is where my guest is from, would consider the apartment small. But I suspect most New Yorkers would consider the 400-square-foot studio to be spacious.
Great apartment - great location!
The apartment was great! It was very nice and clean. The location was terrific for what we wanted to do. It is right around the corner from the Empire State Building and very convenient to subway and buses. Tom was very easy to work with and responded to us very quickly. He provided us with so much information that was very helpful. Great place!!
Walk to the lights of Times Square, the clubs of Greenwich Village, the restaurants of the Flatiron District, the galleries of Chelsea. Doubtless the best location you could find to have access to all that New York has to offer.
