Maybe it’s the beautiful stone fireplace, the exposed wood beam ceiling, or the plush sofa in the home theater room, but this place feels every bit as cozy as home. Of course, not every home has a gourmet kitchen, deluxe bathrooms with multiple showerheads, and a massive deck with a 6 person Sundance Hot tub, but you get the picture. It’s warm. It’s welcoming. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come home to after a long day of skiing, hiking, or boating and feel every bit as comfy as you would in your own place.

The house it self was a beauty, right when we got there it started to snow n omg it was so beautiful, the house was clean the sheets was soft n white, the only down fall was there was no sponge or broom for us to wash the dishes or clean the floors but over all that wasnt a big deal loved this house very much and the hot tub while it was snowing was the best, thanks for having us.
I rented this cabin for a nice weekend in the snow with extended family. Overall, it was a good place to stay, and with a few small improvements could be excellent.
-Looks just as it does in the photos.
-Close to Heavenly resort (10 min to California base).
-Close to grocery stores (8 min drive to Safeway).
-Everything was set up and clean upon arrival - fresh towels, linens, heater and fireplace were on.
-Comfortable beds and spacious rooms.
-TV room was very cozy with a nice entertainment set up.
-Easy check in and check out.
-Spacious parking for 4 cars.
-Nice new appliances in the kitchen.
-Bathrooms are updated and clean. Downstairs shower has two showerheads and upstairs shower has 4 body nozzles.
-Not enough kitchen towels. We were only provided with two very small hand towels which were not enough for a weekend. I've seen this complaint in various reviews and am not sure why they have no fixed this yet, as it is such an easy thing to do.
-Missing some essential items in the kitchen: Potholders (had to use the two small kitchen towels), spices/oil/condiments (only had small shaker of salt and pepper), ice tray.
-Upstairs bathroom is located within the master bedroom. Once the people in the Master bedroom go to sleep, the rest of the guests are limited to using the remaining bathroom downstairs.
-Would have been nice to have one large dining table to fit all guests. We ate split up between the table (seats 6), and the counter (seats 4).
-Not very sound proof. From the upstairs rooms, you can hear conversations downstairs as if you were in the same room. Not great if your group sleeps at different times.
-There are no blinds in the kitchen/dining area, so no privacy from the neighbors.
This is the first time we stayed in this home and it won't be the last! We LOVED this place. It was beat, clean and very comfortable! The pictures are exactly what it looks like! I would recommend staying here!!
Great house to stay. Nice kitchen, very good bathrooms and comfortable beds. Great view from the veranda with some wildlife like a Coyote.
1-Kitchen pantry no shelves had to put dishes in drawer to make room for all of the food.
2-sky light in master awake every morning at 6 am could not sleep in
3-spa was not in working order when arrived was told someone would show up after 4 had to call, we could not use the spa at all because the water has to be drained and new chemicals had to be put in and the water never got hot enough.
4-not enough chairs to sit outside
5-pilot light was not lit in fireplace
6-tv in big room could not hook up a video game behind it had to call a second time to get someone to fix it, as it was they replaced all the tv's but it not set them up to get channels. could not watch any tv.
7-not enough kitchen towels for a weeks stay only supplied two.
8-dishwasher lower tray wheel broken
9-sitting areas in front room only sits 4 people the only place we could all sit together is at the table or tv room.
10-had to replace items used (soap, paper towels) for the amount of money you spend on a place all this should be included.
11-besides buying al the food @ 50-100 every trip to the store for all meals not enough glasses for everyone.
12-no cleaning supplies
13-ice machine in door does not work had to buy ice
Let me start with the positives:
The kitchen and (2) baths are all relatively new, clean and modern. The kitchen is very large with plenty of seating, a decent amount of "hardware" (pans, dishes etc.) and good appliances. There were extra pillows, blankets, clean towels etc. The family room is nice to hang out in, the deck is nice and the hot tub is great. The temperature and jets are both adjustable, it’s very clean and pretty private. Nice grill on the deck. If you were staying in the master bedroom suite upstairs- it’s fantastic. Huge room, great bathroom (dual sinks, separate shower, jetted tub) sky lights and storage galore.
However- if you are a grown adult the other bedrooms and bath are impractical and annoying. IF the beds are queen size- they are lumpy and sagging in the middle. There is no bath upstairs except in the master suite. So the alternative is the downstairs bedroom. Which does not have a dresser, single hanger or luggage rack. An open Ikea cube shelf with an ancient TV on it is NOT a dresser. Our clothes fell out of it constantly- including behind the TV with the dust bunnies. My husband gave up and just left his stuff in his suitcase on the floor in the closet. Mind you- the carpet isn't exactly pristine. The bathroom is the same way- tiny sink with no countertop. No hooks or shelf. No soap dish or toothbrush holder. Our toiletry bags were perched precariously on the toilet back/top. The dual headed-shower is great- but the see-through moldy shower curtain was not. Bottom line it felt like we were staying in a dorm room. We wanted a nice couples retreat and instead we slept rolled together in the bed divet, were tripping over our stuff on the floor and hoping our brushes didn't wind up in the toilet. It got old pretty fast.
I've only rented one other home so perhaps this is the norm- but there is absolutely NOTHING stocked in this house. Save a few sample packets, t. paper and Kleenex. There weren't paper towels, napkins, cleaning supplies, garbage bags etc. No spices (not even salt/pepper) no condiments, no sugar for your coffee. Not a single food item. Pantry, fridge utterly empty. Safeway quickly become pricey- pack anything and everything you may need.
While we were happy with the "recreational" parts of the home- the other issues overshadowed it. We were easily able to extend our visit w/Invited Home so we could enjoy Tahoe more- and I do appreciate that. But we certainly didn't want to stay in that room any longer.
