You won’t need to bring anything but your bathing suit, shorts and some t-shirts to enjoy your trip to Grand Cayman. This luxury oceanfront condo provides everything. Located directly on the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea, the panoramic views and nearby water sport activities mean you need not venture far to enjoy all the island has to offer.
This private and peaceful resort is the perfect place to relax and enjoy as the tropical trade winds blow your troubles away. Only 30 minutes from the airport and the downtown George Town shopping area, On The Bay is a 12 unit complex situated on beautifully landscaped grounds on the quiet North Side of Grand Cayman.
Go for a refreshing swim in the pool or take a dip in the private cove fed by the sea. Snorkel right from the beach, or take a stroll in the sand. It’s all right at your doorstep. If you’re looking to take a boat trip, ride a waverunner, or go scuba diving, these activities are only 10 minutes away at Rum Point.
If you enjoy hiking, the Mastic Trail is only 5 minutes away, as is the beautiful Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park with its magnificent gardens of orchids and local flora.
Nearby restaurants provide both casual and fine dining.
I would like to thank you for sharing your amazing condo with my family and I. This condo is very well stocked and taken care of. The views of the beach and ocean are amazing. Anyone looking for a very quiet place to stay this is it.
Thank you again
Well manicured property beautiful surroundings. Nice large pool with salt water lagoon. The condo is well laid out and has large common area. Bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for the four of us. Can't say enough about vacationing on the quiet North side. We are only about a half hour from George Town and forty five minutes to 7-Mile Beach if you feel the need for people and hubbub. Love the "country" feel of this location.
On the bay number 205 is a gorgeous condo with three bedrooms. I I recommend this house any day to avoid the crowds and hustle of 7 mile Beach. And the price is wonderful even in the high season. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Don't make a mistake and book elsewhere. This is the true tropical ticket to paradise.
We loved our stay at the condo. We had six people staying there and it still felt very spacious and was extremely well maintained. Mark was excellent to communicate with and always got back to me very quickly.
The beach and pool area are very nice and we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Rum point is also just a short drive away which was nice. We rented a car so getting around was not a problem. I definitely recommend eating at Tukka which is not far from the condo.
Overall a great place to stay on the island!
On The Bay was the perfect setup for our family! Beautiful, peaceful, clean property! Mark, the owner and Mitzie, our local contact were a wealth of information, and so kind to work with. We enjoyed the drive from the airport to the North side and had the opportunity to explore the entire island during our stay. We rented a four door jeep, providing plenty of space for our family of five. Gas is expensive, compared to the US; but, we drove all over the island, several times during our six day stay and only had to fill up once before returning the vehicle. Marshall's car rental was great to work with, very friendly staff. We enjoyed many of the local restaurants on the North side, The Lighthouse was our favorite. There's so many sights to take in along the drives, it made traveling to Seven Mile Beach and the East Side seem effortless. Our favorite hangout was Rum Point, about a 10-15 minute drive from the condo. Red Sail Sports is located at Rum Point, offering Stingray City tours right from their dock (saving you the drive back to Seven Mile Beach). Our teenagers enjoyed the jet skis and paddle boards they offer for rentals. Our seven year old was content for hours playing on the beach and swimming in the large area of shallow waters; while my husband and I could relax and see them all from our lounge chairs. There's a restaurant onsite with a good selection of drink and food menu options. My husband and I visited the Grand Cayman in December 2015, staying at a resort on Seven Mile Beach. We took our two teenagers and seven year old for Christmas 2016 and have decided "On The Bay" will be our place to stay! We are already discussing our next trip and cannot wait to return.
We were surprised when entering the condo. We didn't expect that much space and luxury. You can probably get lost in the master bathroom, no kidding!
I don't have a lot to add to the other reviews. All of those descriptions are correct.
The kitchen was actually stocked with a lot of "leftover" spices, oils, coffee , tea etc., so our first day purchases of essentials stayed there as well and add up to the pile of things.
Being tired after the flight , we actually missed the entrance to the condos first. There is a sign with street number 69 (the address is 67), which shows you where to turn.
As with most of the other people, we had the place / beach to ourselves (to be shared with the hermit crabs....) for 3-4 days. In the little lagoon our 12-year-old daughter could snorkel without major supervision and on one of the clearer days we saw a lion fish right there (amongst the usual reef fish you see everywhere in the Caribbean).
Usually we go different places, but this place is definitely worth a repeat visit.
