About Jenny Kirgis
My husband I bought this property over 15 years ago. It has brought our family and friends so many wonderful memories over the years. We started renting the cabin about 8 years ago. We have received the best guests; they treat our little dream cabin like their own home. We hope you will to and create some amazing memories. Most of all, we want you to come back.
Jenny Kirgis purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2000
Why Jenny Kirgis chose Pine
We chose this property because of the seclusion and the fact that the entire back yard is a national forest! The wildlife watching fascinated still does today; never get's boring.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
Privacy, old world cabin feel, yet all the amenities of home. Close to nature, town, shopping, brewery, dining, medical facilities, library ...

Great location but could use a very good cleaning and updating.
The cabin is in a great location and the owners were very responsive. I didn’t mind it being very outdated because it’s just a cabin but there were very few places to actually sit. My only real issue was it being dirty. There were cobwebs and spiders everywhere, we had to give the keurig a good cleaning so the coffee would taste good, scrub and clean the bathtub because there was hair and black stuff in it, and all the outside furniture was extremely dirty, among other things. It was also quite cluttered as all the closets were filled with all kinds of things. I hate to give a bad review especially since the cabin was in a great location and has a ton of potential but I feel it isn’t used often or just not cared for.
In response to the review, I would like to say that we have pictures of the rental on the website, both interior and exterior, and they show that the rental is a cabin, and not a new home in the woods. The cabin has a couch and chair downstairs as well as a couple of chairs upstairs that could be brought down to sit on, so unless the reviewer had more guests there than he had stated on his reservation request, there should have been enough places to sit. There are also 4 chairs around the table. The cabin had been sprayed for spiders a week or 2 prior to the guest arriving and it is our bad that we did not have a cleaner go into prior and make sure they were cleaned up. As far as the Keurig goes, I guess everyone has their own level of what they feel is clean. It is in the forest so naturally outside furniture will be subject to the elements and weather. This is a cabin which is used personally and by family too, therefore the closets do have personal affects, holiday decorations, cleaning and maintenance liquids and tools, games, and extra quilts, pillows, etc. I am not exactly sure why the guest was concerned with closets. There is ample space to hang clothes and put them away if need be for a short 2 night stay. Please read the rest of our reviews before making a decision on our cabin. The majority love their stay and do not complain. Thank you.
Really nice place.
Easy check in and we enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed the stay
The house is comfortable. The location is great. The owner is easy to work with.
We didn't use many of the cooking utensils but the what we did use were if high quality.
Wonderful place, great experience
We spent a weekend here in late July 2019. Everything is as described - this is a beautiful cabin and perfect location! A deck on 3 sides offers plenty of views to relax and enjoy the surrounding forest and the wildlife that wanders up (we saw deer and elk each day). The beds are comfortable, the amenities are ample, and the owners are quick to respond to any questions. We would love to stay here again anytime, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!
Fantastically stocked cabin
This charming property had everything we needed for a summer weekend escape. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. if you want to stay in and cook. We appreciated the extra little conveniences like coffee makers, spices, and napkins. There are also abundant travel sized toiletries of all kinds, if you forget anything, and plenty of towels. The back porch is a perfect place to sit, enjoy coffee, and appreciate the gorgeous scenery. There are excellent hiking trails nearby for family members of all ages. We would highly recommend this quiet and clean little cabin in the woods.
Great cabin in the middle of the woods
Pine Arizona is 83 miles NE of Scottsdale, (13 miles north of Payson). This area is nestled along The Mogollon Rim & and the cabin sits on an acre and half of lush forest that backs to the Tonto National Forest . If you enjoy relaxing in the outdoors and would like to take a break to be alone or reconnect with your family/friends, come visit the charming town of Pine Arizona. Plenty of hiking, fishing, horseback riding, yoga, massage, or just read a book on the deck. The small town provides the right amount of restaurants, antique shops, and seasonal town festivals. Sedona is approx. 65 miles from Pine-a great day trip to take !
