Property Description Villa Encantamar
This Oceanfront 3,600 sq. foot home is located in Mexico’s most beautiful vacation destination on the Mayan Riviera. All of the rooms have large windows that face the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. We are only a short distance from the Great Mayan Reef where you will find unparalleled snorkeling and scuba diving. Enjoy the wide variety of colorful fish and other sea life. Our manager can even arrange for a snorkeling boat to pick you up behind the house and take you out to the reef.
The home features a private courtyard with swimming pool accented by a waterfall. Enjoy breakfast in this relaxing setting at one of the many small umbrella tables, or sit on the ocean-side porch and enjoy the view of the Caribbean.
The location is peaceful and private, but close to all of the attractions of the Riviera Maya. We are only 30 min. south of Cancun and 30 min. north of the popular tourist town of Playa del Carmen. Xcaret, cenotes, Tulum, Xel-ha and many other area attractions are only a short, easy drive from your vacation haven at our home. Chichen Itza makes a great day trip.
Enjoy the town of Puerto Morelos where you will find a friendly mix of Mexicans and foreigners who live in the town. There is a beautiful beach, many restaurants and small shops. A large grocery store is only minutes away across the main highway.
The home features 3 large bedroom suites with air conditioning and private baths. All bedrooms have ocean views. A second floor balcony runs the width of the house and may be accessed from the two upper bedrooms and the sitting room that is located between the two bedrooms. The sitting room has a futon that sleeps one adult. The first floor bedroom opens out onto a porch that runs the width of the house. The downstairs bedroom and one of the upstairs bedrooms have king beds. The 2nd upstairs bedroom has two queen beds. The house sleeps 8-9. The house is perfect for 3 couples, a family, or a small group of friends.
The porch and balcony are perfect for watching the ocean and the sunrise. A third floor is a large terrace that is perfect for watching the sunset over the mangroves.
The main living space is made up of a large living room, dining room, kitchen, bath and beautiful entryway. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a small laundry room just off the kitchen. The living space is open and perfect for a family gathering. With a balcony, porch, sitting room, living room and beautiful courtyard, there is plenty of room to spread out and spend quiet time reading or enjoying the ocean and pool.
Owners are retired and spend sometime in the Cancun area.
Paul purchased this house in 2000
We chose this location because the Caribbean is beautiful and warm for swimming and snorkeling and there are many local attractions.
Thank you for letting us stay in your villa, we had an amazing vacation! Puerto Morelos is a great location and we really enjoyed the town square and restaurants. The house was very comfortable - lots of room, quiet location, loved the roof top patio. The air conditioning in the bedrooms were perfect - a definate must. We didn't spend a large amount of time at the house because we were generally "on-the-go" but could see us coming back to Villa Encantamar with our kids in the future. They would love the pool. Everything we could have needed was there.
This was a repeat visit, and it was just as lovely. The house is the perfect oasis and I honestly cannot think of anything more we could ask for. The sea grass was all but gone this year and we enjoyed the beach and swimming in that beautiful water.
It is a comfortable and easy home to be in, and a great oasis for home base. Far enough to be away from it all and close enough to enjoy everything. We love the little town and its restaurants, love going to Unico, and the Cenotes. We took day trips to Cozumel and the zoo.
Thank you again for letting us enjoy it and we will be back.
Our family of 5, including two young adult daughters and son-in-law stayed at this property between May 17 - 24, 2016. The home is true to its description: a delightful front-yard with a very nice pool greets you on arrival. The facade of the home is as depicted on the website, inviting and classy. The first floor has the common areas, kitchen, dining, living all very spacious, high ceilings, airy and full of light and one master room, where my wife and I stayed. The furnishings are very comfortable, the setting perfect to enjoy beautiful ocean views and the ever-present breeze a delight, while in the common areas or back porch. Each of the three bedrooms is spacious and comfortable, the beds good quality and the AC's all in perfect working order and fully capable of cooling the rooms to a very comfortable level.
The kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. The property caretakers visited each day to check on us and were very diligent in keeping the pool clean of overnight debris (leafs, etc.) and taking care of any needs we might have; we had very few since everything was well thought out, in advance, to make our stay issue-free. The owners were straightforward and easy to deal with, over email, as well as flawlessly polite in their interactions. Net, we had a great time at Villa Encantamar and would happily return and recommend to friends.
Our family reunion was perfect, thanks to this beautiful property. The owners were very responsive, and it's furnished very comfortably, as if a family lived there, not just a rental atmosphere.
The road there is a bit off the beaten path, but the location was very peaceful and quiet. The beach is almost non-existent right now, but the kids loved the pool, and we were able to find a spacious beach nearby. Lovely vistas from every room, right on the water. Good linens and very good lighting!!!!
My husband, daughter and I were fortunate enough to spend a week at this beautiful villa last month. The house and the location were everything we had hoped for and more. Beautifully appointed, yet very comfortable, with gorgeous ocean views from every room. The courtyard and pool are completely private, the location is quiet and out of the way, but a short drive or bike ride along a meandering country road puts you in the heart of Puerto Morelos with shops, wonderful restaurants, and a lively town square. From home base we were a short drive to explore Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen, and the cenotes. Great snorkeling is just behind the house and a boat will come and pick you up right from the back yard. Bruno and Jerry took wonderful care of the house, and were always available to help.
My husband, daughter and I loved this house, and we cannot wait to return.
We had SUCH A GREAT TIME at this house! Picture this... a sleepy little fishing village with hidden resorts and sensational houses. From the house it was a short drive into Puerto Morelos where there were lots of cute shops & restaurants serving excellent food. We enjoyed the zoo & the snorkel trip was the best! The house was really huge with plenty of fresh linens, 2 refrigerators, DirecTV, wifi, a free phone to use for US calls & comfortable king beds. The best part of my trip was the cute little "beach dog" who slept on the mat outside the downstairs master bedroom. She was well fed, polite and so sweet! At first, she was shy but she warmed up to us quickly and wagged her entire body when she saw us :) She moved from house to house -- sort of a community dog. I hated saying good-bye to her this morning, but I feel sure she gets plenty of love from everyone. I would definitely recommend this house!
We are still reminiscing about our recent vacation at Villa Encantamar. From the moment we walked through the courtyard door and set our eyes on the charming pool and front of the house we felt at home and on vacation all at the same time. The house is as others have remarked, essentially perfect—it has everything you need including TV, phone, and internet. However, we didn’t spend much time using these electronic amenities. We instead spent many hours lounging around the pool and just relaxing in the back admiring the beautiful Caribbean water. Even while inside the Villa, we never tired of looking out the back windows at the vast and calm Caribbean Sea. Having Puerto Morelos nearby (10 minutes by car) made for even more enjoyment and we much preferred this sleepy little town for dining, shopping, and strolling than we did the larger cities of Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, although they have much to offer too. The north-south highway a few miles west of the house provides quick access to Cancun and Playa D C, as well as goes south of Playa D C to Tulum and beyond and there are numerous places to enjoy the ocean, snorkel, visit cenotes, etc. We spent some of our time exploring and enjoying these areas, but found ourselves commonly just wanting to relax and enjoy the serenity and amenities at Villa Encantamar. We are already scheming about a return trip to Villa E.
Come stay at this peaceful, beach-front home. Our home is located just steps from the beach and the blue waters of the Caribbean. The home features 3 large bedroom suites with air conditioning and private baths. All bedrooms have ocean views. A second floor balcony runs the width of the house and may be accessed from the two upper bedrooms and the media room which divides the two bedrooms. The house sleeps 8-9. One bedroom has 2 queen beds, while the other two have king beds. There is a one-person futon in the media room.
There is a living room on the first floor and an open, balcony “media” room on the second floor. Both have televisions and seating areas. The third floor is a large terrace, perfect for watching the sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over the mangroves.
The main living space is made up of living room, dining room, kitchen, entrance, and guest bath. The fully equipped kitchen has a washer and dryer located in a small laundry room just off the kitchen
