Harbert Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5-6)

Welcome to our Harbor Country vacation home … 'Breeze' at the Vineyard Lofts.

Built out of what was the oldest winery in the state of Michigan, Breeze offers guests the ambiance of a bygone era with the latest in modern design. Spectacular and inspiring, the historic renovation features striking elevation changes and dramatic architectural design that creates exciting space that is as useful as it is beautiful.

A stay at Breeze beckons you to relax and enjoy! The private courtyard and patio, equipped with year-round, 4-person hot tub are great outdoor spaces to unwind. Inside, a mood of undeniable luxury prevails with the look and feel of a Nantucket seaside villa.

Breeze, a corner, ground-floor 1900 sq/ft loft, sleeps 5 to 6 adults in its three bedrooms; The master bedroom has 1 queen bed, bedroom two has 2 queen beds, and bedroom three has 2 twin beds. An oversized great room with 12ft. ceilings is a great place to hang out, relax, watch a movie or just be. Outside, enjoy a patio off the dining area, or your own private, fenced courtyard off the bedrooms. If cooking is your pleasure, the fully equipped sky-lit kitchen features stainless steel appliances, maple cabinets, a prep island with electric outlet and granite countertops, affording the chef in you the perfect environment for preparing the most gourmet meals.

Nestled in the heart of Harbor Country, Breeze at the Vineyard Lofts is within walking distance to a great dog park, fine dining restaurants and unique specialty shops. It’s a straight shot to the beach and is centrally located to all Harbor Country activities. Best of all it is just minutes from I-94 exit ramps.

About Rich

We love to travel; been all over the country. We consider ourselves to have a keen sense of what works. Also, we often travel with our dog.

Rich purchased this condo in 2006

Why Rich chose Southwest Michigan

Harbert is one of those great destinations that once you find it, you hope stays a little bit secret. The restaurants, shops, beaches, culture and all around vibe are unmatched. The Lofts are nothing short of spectacular. Carved out of Michigan's oldest winery, the historic property is unlike anything we have ever experienced. Super design, quality and vision are all present.

What makes this condo unique

A straight shot to the beach, two restaurants and a bakery, galleries, salon/spa, garden center and antique shops, all steps from your door. Many wineries are a 5-minute drive down country roads. A dog park is next door at Harbert Park which also has a playground, fishing pond, pavilion, and a baseball diamond. The Warren Dunes are less than 3 miles away. On site we have a fire pit, picnic pavilion, and a serene prairie with footpaths and relaxation areas.

Guestbook comments from the owner

(transfered from old guestbook system)We just spent a week at the Spectacular loft "Breeze". Our family vacation consisted of 6 people and 3 four legged house members. It couldn't of been a better vacation. The loft had all the comforts we could ask for.

Before our vacation was even over family members were already asking "same time and place next year"?

On a scale of 1-10 this vacation spot rated a 20! Very impressed.

Nice Quiet Retreat Condo

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place with wonderful amenities. We had good communication with our host the whole time. The condo is wonderfully decorated and we loved the quality of everything. Nice beds, nice linens, the works. The location is close to a lot of Western Michigan's must see places. Make sure to ask for detailed directions and which condo # this place is because that was not as clear to us and took us a bit in the dark and rain to figure it out.

A few things to be aware of, not negatives per see but just something I would pass along to others. This condo is in a dense cluster of other ones so we always were on our guard not to bother the neighbors. Also take note that you can't use the hot tub after 10:30pm. I'm sure this was in the small print policy section that I didn't read (which is my fault), but that was not as clear as I would have liked it to be since it was one of the strongest selling points for us. We didn't get to use the hot tub because we never made it back to the house after our activities until about 11pm.

Another thing that took me off guard was how much cleaning was required in our "Checkout Procedures" despite us paying a cleaning fee. It's not too bad just be prepared to set aside 45min to an 1hr to start a load of laundry, take out the trash and start the dishwasher. Normally this would not be as big of a deal but when you only stay two nights it's a bit different.

If you are a light sleeper, be aware this condo is about 25yrds from a train track and there are 1-2 trains at night that do blow their horn. Again not a big thing but just something that could have been disclosed for those individuals that are light sleepers.

All in all I would stay here again while visiting this area. Very comfortable and relaxing.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. We're glad that the weather held out long enough for what was hopefully some great golf. Your group is welcome back anytime. As for the House Rules; yes, they are all stated in the Rental Agreement that you must read before entering your credit card when you booked. We also make sure that the same language is in all attachments prior to your stay. And, stripping the used beds and starting a load of laundry and final dish washing is very customary. These 3 steps prior to check out should take no longer than 10 minutes and aid in your departure to ensure that nothing personal might be left behind.

Roomy, contemporary, comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful condo to rent for a larger family. Yummy local restaurants super close by and beach within a short walk, although we used the car because of kids. Only negative is the loud train whistle in the middle of the night. The property is directly adjacent to the train track.

Great vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the stay in early August 2016. This is a great, clean, spacious condo with a nice kitchen where we could enjoy making dinner. Our teens had their space and wifi when we were not at the beach or in town. Parking is very convenient to the first floor entry and we could store our bikes on the front porch area. The bakery a block or so away is great and has a restaurant for breakfast. We will be back.
