Welcome to our Harbor Country vacation home … 'Breeze' at the Vineyard Lofts.
Built out of what was the oldest winery in the state of Michigan, Breeze offers guests the ambiance of a bygone era with the latest in modern design. Spectacular and inspiring, the historic renovation features striking elevation changes and dramatic architectural design that creates exciting space that is as useful as it is beautiful.
A stay at Breeze beckons you to relax and enjoy! The private courtyard and patio, equipped with year-round, 4-person hot tub are great outdoor spaces to unwind. Inside, a mood of undeniable luxury prevails with the look and feel of a Nantucket seaside villa.
Breeze, a corner, ground-floor 1900 sq/ft loft, sleeps 5 to 6 adults in its three bedrooms; The master bedroom has 1 queen bed, bedroom two has 2 queen beds, and bedroom three has 2 twin beds. An oversized great room with 12ft. ceilings is a great place to hang out, relax, watch a movie or just be. Outside, enjoy a patio off the dining area, or your own private, fenced courtyard off the bedrooms. If cooking is your pleasure, the fully equipped sky-lit kitchen features stainless steel appliances, maple cabinets, a prep island with electric outlet and granite countertops, affording the chef in you the perfect environment for preparing the most gourmet meals.
Nestled in the heart of Harbor Country, Breeze at the Vineyard Lofts is within walking distance to a great dog park, fine dining restaurants and unique specialty shops. We love to travel; been all over the country. We consider ourselves to have a keen sense of what works. Also, we often travel with our dog.
Rich purchased this condo in 2006
Harbert is one of those great destinations that once you find it, you hope stays a little bit secret. The restaurants, shops, beaches, culture and all around vibe are unmatched. The Lofts are nothing short of spectacular. Carved out of Michigan's oldest winery, the historic property is unlike anything we have ever experienced. Super design, quality and vision are all present.
A straight shot to the beach, two restaurants and a bakery, galleries, salon/spa, garden center and antique shops, all steps from your door. Many wineries are a 5-minute drive down country roads. A dog park is next door at Harbert Park which also has a playground, fishing pond, pavilion, and a baseball diamond. The Warren Dunes are less than 3 miles away. On site we have a fire pit, picnic pavilion, and a serene prairie with footpaths and relaxation areas.
(transfered from old guestbook system)We just spent a week at the Spectacular loft "Breeze". Our family vacation consisted of 6 people and 3 four legged house members. It couldn't of been a better vacation. The loft had all the comforts we could ask for.
Before our vacation was even over family members were already asking "same time and place next year"?
On a scale of 1-10 this vacation spot rated a 20! Very impressed.
We really loved our stay at Breeze. The condo is beautiful, with tons of space for our family of four. The open kitchen/living area was great for us to all hang out, and having the bedrooms on the other end of the condo was nice since we were traveling with younger kids. Harbert was nice, and it was easy to get to New Buffalo, St Joe, etc. we'd stay here again for sure!
A couple negatives... The condo is backing up to the train, and at an intersection. When a train comes, you get clanging bells and train horns that are really loud. Also, all the bedrooms have very lightweight curtains. Great for the lofty vibe, but not great for kids going to bed early or anyone sleeping in. Also, the silverware in the kitchen was super cheap, picnic quality. I know a vacation rental will have cheaper stuff, but this was too low budget for such a nice place. None of these are deal breakers, though, it's still a great condo!
Also, putting a guestbook out would be fun. Other rentals we've stayed in have done that, and I love seeing other peoples recommendations for things to do!
Idyllic spaciousness, impeccable attention to detail, and optimal location, = exceptional value! The Breeze proved a perfect location to relax, commune, and prep for our daughter's wedding at The Acorn Theatre in Three Oaks on June 25th. The enormous great room and kitchen afforded us the comforts of "home" for our large, all out of towners, group, while providing the practical work spaces needed for coordinating final preparations like floral arranging. In addition, the overall layout provides simultaneous wonderful niches of solitude with large group mingling! This is a wonderful feature for those of us who sometimes need a moment's "time out" in the midst of the merriment, as well as, privacy for sleeping, bathing, and dressing outside the fray of larger group communing. The decor, linens, and furniture are excellently appointed, both mindful and humble, which creates an instant, warm sense of vacation without a hint of pretense. Additionally, the central location lends an ease of access to Warren Dunes State Park, and the sweet tourist centered towns of Sawyer, Three Oaks, and New Buffalo. Bottom line, this place proved perfect for our weekend and inspires a desire to return for a longer stay.
Five of us (all women) were in town for a bridal shower and found your rental very comfortable and welcoming - just what we needed!!! Your place was just like the pictures showed - clean & spacious. Would recommend this rental highly and wouldn't think twice about renting again!!
We enjoyed our stay in Harbert at the Breeze loft. The loft was very nice. Tons of room, very clean, and close to many great places we wanted to visit, including wineries, the Four Winds Casino, and great places to eat. It was quiet, relaxing, and very enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!
This is a great place for two couples to share or bring the entire family. Rooms are spacious and kitchen well supplied if you decide to have meals on site. Nice to have the hot tub outside the bedroom to jump into and relax.
The owner was very quick at responding to questions and to finalize the rental.
It's a very relaxing space and well appointed.
Had a great dinner nearby at Luna's and breakfast at Luisa's Cafe and The Harbert Swedish Bakery
We booked Breeze! for a girls weekend from Chicago for 5 of us. Through the whole booking process Rich was incredibly helpful and responsive. The loft was incredibly comfortable and spacious (photos do not do it justice), not to mention spotless! The hot tub was a great addition as well! Short drive or walking distance to the beach as well. HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to visit New Buffalo/Harbert area!
The Dog Park is less than 1 block away. MAK Salon/Spa is across the street. Art Galleries abound throughout the area. Wine Tasting in wine country is just minutes away. Lake Michigan and Harbert Beach is less than one mile and The Warren Dunes State Park is a very short 3 mile drive. Harbert Park features a baseball diamond, fishing pond, pavilion and brand new playground all right next door. Access the park by using the Vineyard Lofts walking path to reach Harbert Park and Dog Park. Walk to Cafe Gulistan Restaurant right next door or Luisa's Cafe and the famous Harbert Swedish Bakery are across the street.
