Newly and beautifully refurbished 8 bedroom Oast house in rural Kent (approx 1 hour from London by car or train).
This luxurious Oast house benefits from some wonderful original features and beams whilst providing high spec modern facilities (such as Wifi, Sky TV and underfloor heating throughout).
The 8 large bedrooms have a flexible arrangement. Currently there are 3 king-size doubles, 3 sets of twin beds, 3 child beds and 2 cots.
Currently accommodation would suit 10-12 adults plus 3-5 children (plus 2 cots). Extra beds could potentially be added on request.
All rooms have views across the garden and Kent countryside.
There are 4 brand new bathrooms, all with power-showers, baths, heated towel rails and underfloor heating. Two of these bathrooms are en-suite.
The ground floor includes 5 receptions rooms, including a very large lounge and a huge kitchen/dining/TV space. The kitchen table extends to accommodate 10 adults with room for 3 more at the kitchen island.
The kitchen benefits from 2 ovens, a boiling hot water tap, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave oven, 6-slice toaster and american fridge-freezer.
There is also a pool table room, a separate children's play room, a utility room, and a cloakroom/toilet.
(Note, the pictures do not currently show the new TV and three 3-seater sofas in the lounge. Also, new kitchen chairs and island stools are in place.)
Towels, Linen & Toiletries are provided. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available to use in the utility room.
There is ample parking on the driveway for about 15 cars.
Locally, there is a pub less than 10 minutes walk that serves food.
There are very good places to eat in nearby Goudhurst (Goudhurst Inn), Sissinghurst (The Milk House) and a Michelin star in Biddenden (The West House).
Local attractions include Bedgebury Forest, Leeds Castle, Yalding Kayaking, Kent Tour, Hop Farm, Go Ape, Royal Tunbridge Wells and various National Trust sites (Sissinghurst, Bodiam Castle, Scotney Castle), and some beautiful Kent villages, like Cranbrook.
Unfortunately no house parties, hen or stag parties or fireworks are permitted. Pets unfortunately are not permitted. The house is non-smoking; smokers are welcome but must use the garden, and lastly we appreciate it if there are no shoes worn indoors.
Generally the house is only let out during the school holidays, and for 7 night minimum stays, but please enquire.
