Villa Camacho III is geniously decorated with an osmose between classic and contemporary lines and is located in an elevated position within the scenic Calheta Bay which is just a few minutes' drive to this popular village. This luxurious 3-bedroom villa enjoys stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean and benefits from a delightful swimming pool. With large patio windows and doors, the spacious accommodation has an open-plan living area, a luxury kitchen and quality appliances. There is also a generous and cozy seating area, from which to admire the view of the terrace, pool and beyond, or to settle down in the evenings and catch a film on the satellite TV. All 3 bedrooms have double beds and fitted floor to ceiling wardrobes, side tables and bedside lamps. The master bedroom also has its own deluxe en-suite bathroom with shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have an additional bathroom with bath available across the hall from the rooms and there is also another shower room. The outside terrace area provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the fabulous sunshine and the barbeque area provides a perfect dining al fresco moment. The terrace is a great place to be, any time of the day, and guests will enjoy reveling in the tranquility of the bay and taking in the stunning views. Magical in the evenings, when the sun is setting, the terrace becomes a little heaven at the end of another perfect day.

What makes this villa unique

The southwestern coast of Madeira is ideal for all those, looking for unspoilt nature and part of the island with the warmest climate, far away from the usual tourism centres of Funchal.In the winter season it offers still very moderate temperatures so that you can even swim in the atlantic nearby. You reach the sea by an artificial sandy beach, built in 2006 with imported sand from Marocco. Beside the beach you find the Marina with some bars and restaurants and elegant yachts. From here you can start several excursions by boat : big game fishing or whale and dolphin watching.

An old sugar cane factory is working once a year ( march/april)but open throughout the whole year :you can taste the products made in the factory.

For all those who like to walk here is the ideal place to start : the national park Rabaçal - Worlds nature heritage ( UNESCO) - is perfect for some Levada walks ( 25 fontes / Risco waterfall).Here you find Madeiras "Laurissilva" - Laurel forests and enjoy the unspoilt Madeira, as it was at the time it was discovered.....

Disaster - avoid!

Arrived and was told by key holder the property was not available. The owner unwilling to discuss. Have launched fraud investigation with Mastercard. Owners Direct no help, but Mastercard a life saver. This owner is not be trusted - do not book this property or any other in Madeira owned by Miguel Camacho

Owner's Response: Mr. Tom contacted me a week before his arrival to inquire about the condition of the house in relation to occurring fire and at that time my answer was that everything was fine and had no problems with it . Meanwhile new fires occurred and the wind that felt brought ash and smoke. The engine and the pool water filtration system were damaged and it was necessary to do its complete emptying. In addition to all this, local authorities asked population to not do the cleaning in order to save the water that was being required for fire fighting. There were even times when the public water supply failed. The reason not informed the customer in advance was due among other things to the fact that i was indeed busy with complicated situations with other rental homes due to fires and with a particular situation of a person of my family that lost his house. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, I could not get the customer directly. It was my employee who received the client. I asked him to explain the situation to the customer, to apologize for the inconvenience caused and from installing in the house, alternatively, i had prepared. I should mention that the house has been offered as an alternative is of equivalent quality to the customer booked and is located in Calheta, a neighboring parish, which was not affected by the fires. The distance of both houses to the center is almost the same and both one as to another car use for travel is convenient. When the customer came to the alternative home, it proved to be very angry and made some less educated repairs, such as "is very simple" or "the pool looks like a pit." Even with little delicacy said he had chosen the other house because it was closer to the beach and could not do much to walk because he had some mobility problems. Anyway, he got the key of the house and told my employees that would move to the center (Calheta) to try to get reservations at a hotel and only if he did not do stay in the house. This led to my employee had lost a lot of time waiting for the client to decide if he returned the key or not. As to whether the customer complain of having paid a large amount of hotel, I should mention that there was another hotel (4 stars) in the same location, but the customer decided on the 5 stars. I understand that this may have caused some inconvenience to the customer, but observing the circumstances, I expected a better understanding of him. I am an honest person, my houses are not frauds!

Beautiful views and location

Very clean and stylish. The outside area is the best feature although the pool was very cold in March. we also had some issues getting hot water out of the shower. The views are amazing and the outside sofas and woodfired oven were wonderful. Calheta was the nicest resort we visited in Madeira so the location was also great. The facilities shown on the web site under "facilities" aren't quite right e,g, there isn't a tumble dryer but the description of the house is all accurate. I would reccommend this villa for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
