The apartment provides all one might need and beyond. Great stay. Thank you.
Booking: The host of this space was very attentive and responded quickly to the reservation request and questions we had. I booked pretty last minute and I appreciated how fast the process was which helped ease the stress I had. Everything posted and all information about the space was accurate.
Location: The house is located close to public transportation (we used Uber the entire time so I cannot comment on public transportation). There is a nice park nearby as well. The location was close to the places of interest we had on our itinerary, as well. The actual apartment in the house was easily accessible as well.
Accommodations: The space is super modern, clean and inviting! There is a nice little backyard to use, comfortable furniture and it is updated throughout the apartment. The fixtures and appliances looked brand new. You can tell attention and detail went in to the planning of remodeling the apartment. There are extras of many things: soap, shampoo, conditioner, other toiletries, condiments, blankets, pillows, etc. It really made the place feel like home. Nothing was overlooked when preparing the apartment for guests! (Tips: If the TV is a little fuzzy, move the coax cable in the back of the TV a little to clear it up. There is at least one child who lives upstairs. If you are looking for absolute silence throughout your stay, this may not be the place for you. The delightful sounds of children playing and the pattering of footsteps were fine with us and only occurred during the day. There was no issue overnight.)
Host: The host is super nice and flexible. She made sure that we had her contact information if we needed anything or had any questions throughout our stay. We ran in to her one morning on our way to breakfast and had a great conversation about the area and the neighborhood.
Overall: I can't say enough things about our stay! We had no complaints and will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips to the city! This place comes highly recommended.
Very comfortable apartment, Good futon and queen sized bed. Very well maintained bot inside and out. Really nice having access to laundry .
We had a wonderful time in San Francisco, staying in Duboce Park area! This location could not have been better.
Easy access to transportation, just across a small park for the train or just up the block for the bus on Haight St.
The neighborhood was quiet and lovely, looks like a great place for families. People we met on the street and in the park were
friendly. The Duboce Park Cafe just across the park was perfect for breakfast or lunch. We found several restaurants nearby that we loved.
Katie's Kitchen - Southern cooking in San Francisco! Take the "N" train west, one train stop to Cole and Carl Streets: Take your pick: Crepes on Cole, Reverie Cafe Bar, Kezar Bar & Restaurant.
The apartment was perfect for us. It was really a nice size with a bedroom, living room combination; kitchen, dining room; bathroom and entry hall.
The outdoor garden accessed by patio doors off the dining room and living room provided a pretty view. It was clean and well maintained, plenty of linens, pillows, etc.
Anything you could need was provided, plenty of closet space, umbrellas and tote bags too! Even though we did not make use of the kitchen that much
the appliances, kitchen supplies, were more than adequate to prepare meals.
Holly was very prompt with communication and instructions for check in and check out.
We would absolutely choose this rental again for future trips!
We had a wonderful trip to San Fran, thanks to Holly and her lovely home. The location is half a block from Duboce Park and one block from Haight St. The unit is completely renovated with access to a lovely garden. The weather was cool and damp so we were unable to take advantage of the garden, but I would have had it been any other time of year than January. We loved the kitchen and dining area which is well stocked of all the little essentials.
The only pinch was that the floors were quite cool, but they had even compensated for that by supplying slippers which we definitely used.
I was also concerned from having read another review about the upstairs noise of little feet. I just want to say that they did not bother us at all. We did hear them at 7:15 but we were already awake and it was nothing annoying.
We popped in for the weekend to visit friends around the block and your basement apt. was a great place to set up base. The small two-room apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. Easy, no-hassle entry so we were able to come and go as we needed without disturbing our hosts. Nicely stocked with coffee, and wine opener :) to solve both ends of our weekend days' needs. Oh - and an extra iPad charger which I happened to have a need for. We discovered Uber for the first time which was an excellent way to get downtown and back - I will always prefer that over a taxi from now on. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
We live in a Historic District steps away from lovely Duboce Park where there are 2 playground and a Recreational Center.
