Exquisite regional artwork, antiques, native rugs and artifacts adorn this warm, classic New Mexican adobe home that reveals breathtaking views of the Jemez and Sangre de Christo mountain ranges throughout the house. Built in harmony with the foothills, the home includes multiple living areas, an upper master suite with sunroom, office and jaccuzi, a main level suite with 2 beds (king and double), and a secluded lower level queen suite. New central heat and air conditioning installed in 2016. Radiant in-floor heat, five Kiva fireplaces. Our gated home is located at the end of a short driveway with very private and beautifully landscaped walking trails, multiple patios and 4 decks, all on 5 acres.
PRIMARY LIVING AREA:
The main living area is comprised of two large yet cozy rooms, both with floor to ceiling windows and gorgeous views, that share a wrap-around kiva fireplace. Comfortable leather sofas and easy chairs, a grand piano, and a 55” LG flatscreen TV and entertainment center, make this part of the house a wonderful secluded gathering place away from the bedrooms.
DINING & COOKING:
The heavy wooden dining table seating six to eight people, separates the kitchen from yet another sunken living area with fireplace, a large day bed and comfortable seating. You’ll find plenty of dishes, flatware and serving pieces, mugs, bowls and glasses, all indigenous to the area. The galley kitchen has tiled countertops, pots and pans hanging from the ceiling, and of all the amenities a person who loves cooking would want. The 2017 Bosch dishwasher and disposal make cleaning after a meal a breeze.
Master Bedroom: A grand artisan staircase leads from the living areas to a room with spectacular views to the north, east and west. Large individual windows wrap around a king size bed that looks on to a kiva fireplace and master jacuzzi bath with picture-window. The large cushioned built-in bench with table and 2 chairs overlooking the Jemez Mountains, makes it the perfect place for an intimate breakfast or coffee indoors. As well, this bedroom has private access to the office and sunroom which offer more spectacular views, a large daybed and rollaway.
Main Level Bedroom: Situated on the main floor off the dining room, this bedroom suite has a king bed, kiva fireplace and large flatscreen TV with sitting area. Large windows that surround the bed afford wonderful views of the Sangre de Christo mountains to the east. A half-wall separates an additional double bed from the rest of the suite. The chess table and chairs looking onto the private porch / outdoor sauna complete the room.
Lower Level Bedroom: Located downstairs, this queen bed and large shower with seat offer extreme privacy from the rest of the house. It has its own private entrance and porch area nestled beneath aspens.
Sunken Room: Located off the dining room on the main floor is a large daybed and fireplace.
Upper Level: Off the upper master suite, you’ll find a small patio with a table for 2, perfect for coffee. From there, stairs lead to the rooftop deck. Once there you will experience the magic of a 360º degree view spanning 4 mountain ranges, as well as 4 zero-gravity chairs to view the skyscapes. Our home is just far enough away from the city lights to experience the majesty of the universe after dark, as well as a full view of Los Alamos. Additional comfortable folding chairs and a large chiminea complete the experience.
Main Level: (1) Outside the entertainment living room is a large deck that leads to a huge steel open fireplace. Plenty of comfortable seating, a dining table with umbrella, a new grill, and views facing west make this a wonderful place for any meal. A large reclining lounge chair and ample sun allow for laying in the sun year-round. (2) On the other side of the house is a beautiful enclosed private courtyard with multiple seating options, much like you would expect to find on a quaint cottage off Canyon Rd. From here, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains can be seen in the distance. (3) Outside of the main level bedroom suite is a large jacuzzi tub and private deck nestled among aspen trees, again with ample seating.
Lower Level: French doors in the Lower Level Bedroom open on to a private treed area with a chiminea and seating for 2.
Complementary pinion wood is stacked just outside the front door under a covered portico.
This is a home you simply must experience for yourself. We believe that all the 5 star reviews say more than we ever could.
Because many of the handmade, original art pieces and vintage music instruments are within a child’s reach, we discourage families with young children staying in our home.

Great location and beautiful home
The house was perfect for our family of 6. The views and accommodations were all top notch. Also very convenient location for airport, hikes, ski areas and restaurants.
Exemplary! Will return!
Property is extraordinary.... in every way. This was exactly what I was looking for, as a first time Santa Fe experience! Just wish we could have stayed longer... but we do hope to return. Exemplary.... wonderful accommodations and above our expectations. Beautiful surprise!
A wonderful and peaceful location and beautiful, well-appointed house!
Our stay at Casa de Musica was a fabulous experience. We hiked around the property, did some star gazing from the roof and marveled at the beautiful sunsets. We can highly recommend this property!
This was an amazing home and we were so fortunate to have the opportunity to use it for our stay in Santa Fe. The house had everything we could possibly need or want. It was clean, comfortable and of course, beautifully decorated. You could spend days admiring the décor. The deck was our favorite location, allowing us to watch the glorious evening sunsets. The 360 degree views were spectacular. Just a short drive into Santa Fe, it provided us with easy access to the historic sites. It is also close to the hiking trails of the Tsankawi Ruins- a great experience.
Tom was a great help through the booking process and in assuring we had everything we needed in the house. He was also very helpful in providing recommendations for things to do, as well as providing directions to the local hot spots! We were very grateful for his assistance.
Beautiful property, fantastic sunsets.
Great location for quiet evenings and good for group bookings. Hiking in the Santa Fe area was great too. I would definitely stay here again.
Perfection in every way.
The photos on the website are enticing but they cannot truly convey the serene beauty of this home. Every room has it's own special flare. We made sure to try every nook and sitting area, each one felt unique and comfortable. It was so pleasant to visit Santa Fe shops/restaurants and then return to this beautiful home situated on the hillside where we could enjoy quiet solitude and the stunning starry night sky. One of the most appreciated aspects is that everything you need to know is provided for you. You're never at a loss trying to figure out how to turn on the AC, heat, TV, stereo,. computer, etc. It's all spelled out for you. And, if you have any question at all, the manager (Tom) is a quick call away. He is very responsive and truly wants to make sure your stay is pleasant and all you'd hope it would be. Visit it - you won't be disappointed!
Spectacular 360 degree views of the Jemez and Sangre de Christo mountain ranges from the roof deck. 5 miles from the historic Santa Fe plaza. 10-minute drive to the acclaimed Santa Fe Opera. Easy driving distance to Santa Fe Ski Basin.
