Complete high end renovation 2008. Bathrooms with marble, granite & tile.New kitchen with granite counters flowing into Keeping Room. Large gathering spaces including 1st floor kitchen with breakfast table, comfortable seating & flat screen tv. Great room with fireplace, lounge seating & dining table for 10. 2nd floor family room seats 14 with unbelievable viewsand flat screen HD TV .1ST floor bedroom (Maine Room) with queen sized bed. Three bedrooms on the 2ND floor including the Lobster Room (bunk beds), Sea Room (one twin and one oversized twin brass beds), & Shell Room (queen sized bed). 3RD floor Captain's Berth with king sized bed, seating area and TV. Beautiful Full bath on each level. Lovely outdoor space includes wrap-around porch with rockers, swing & great water view. All house sound system. 4 tv's. WALK TO TOWN AND THE BEACHES.   • The bathrooms were renovated in 2008. The first floor bathroom has a shower with pond stone floor and ceramic tile walls and ceiling. The second floor bathroom is ceramic and a combination shower and tub. The third floor has a large marble shower and the original claw foot tub. All have custom mirrors, ceramic floors and great lighting.

  • All the rooms are freshly painted and full of character and charm. All except the second floor 'Lobster Room' have water views. They are filled with a combination of antiques and new furnishings. The theme is totally nautical and the rooms are decorated accordingly. The home home was professionally decorated by the well known designer Carlton Varney in 1993 and renovated again in 2008, professionally, with Mr. Varney's touch still very much a part of the decorating scheme. Bluebrier has two fireplaces. There is a wood burning fireplace in the kitchen and a gas fireplace in the Keeping Room, both on the first floor.

Excellent, excellent, excellent!! Everything was perfect. The house is very bright (lots of windows), decor absolutely beautiful and very clean. Linens, towels provided along with 6 bikes which are great for cycling down to the beach. The owner & the housekeeper provided excellent customer service. My friends & I highly recommend this gem located in town overlooking the port. No need for car unless you want to explore outskirts of Kennebunkport. Shopping wonderful, restaurants delicious & locals are extremely friendly and courteous.

This is the best property rental I have ever stayed at.

Sherry has a wonderful home, that is what it truly is, a home. Beautiful down to the fine details. Helen, the concierge was wonderful and very helpful. I recommend this property to anyone who wants to make a great memories!

Thank you so much Sherry for providing such an amazing vacation. If you're interested in this property, pack lightly because everything you can think of is already provided at this beautiful home. From lobster platters to washing machines; everything is available in the property. The location is awesome, a 2 minute walk right into town, or a mile stroll to the beach. We loved the layout that afforded quieter experiences for the adults, while still giving the kids room to spread out.

Helen the house manager was super helpful in providing local recommendations and was 'on-call' if there was anything else we might need. (which was nothing!)

It's always a bit nerve wracking renting a home when you only have pictures to go by; however this was an easy decision and an even easier experience.

Thanks again and so hope to make it back next year!

This was a great experience for family. The house was beautiful, clean, and the best stocked home I have ever stayed at. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. I am an avid cook and there was nothing that I needed that I did not find in the kitchen. I felt like I was staying in my own home with all the amenities one could want. The location was perfect - just minutes from Dock Square. We rode the bikes to the beach and even had a Barbara Bush sighting. Our choice for lobster was the Port Lobster Company where you can pick up your steamed lobsters ($8.00 for a 1-1/2 pound lobster) and take them back to the Bluebrier where you will find everything you need to devour them. The Tia restaurant - just minutes from the Bluebrier was a great place to eat. Also enjoyed David's restaurant on Ocean Street for several meals. We went to Hannafords a short 10 minute ride away for groceries. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family.

Exceeded our Expectations!

We had high expectations for this property given reviews we read before booking - and it exceeded them! The home is very roomy, very well kept, and extremely well outfitted. The concierge services provided by Helen were extremely helpful also. If there was anything we would change it would be the occasional late-night revelry from Federal Jacks restaurant down the hill, but we gladly overlooked that for the fantastic location and fantastic views of the port from the wraparound porch - which we enjoyed every day of our stay. In summary, of the many similar sized and priced properties we've used in other vacation destinations, we rank Bluebrier right up with the best. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

The home is perfectly situated to enjoy all that the Kennebunk's and nearby New England towns have to offer. Portland is an easy 30-40 minute drive and has much to explore. Portsmouth, NH is 40 minutes away and equally as charming a seaport town. The area is filled with antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, fabulous restaurants of every price range and, of course, endless lobster shacks. Walk to the famed Clam Shack for awesome fried clams or The White Barn Inn for a Five Star dining experience. The scenery is spectacular from the rugged beach to the charming New England villages, coves and countryside.

I will NEVER ask you to wire money and be aware that many scammers have hacked Homeaway sites and done just that.
