This two bedroom detached house is perfectly located for a holiday exploring the coastline, beaches and the New Forest. Newly redecorated, Woodside provides a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the separate dining room has patio doors leading out onto the well maintained garden with lawn and patio. The two double bedrooms are bright and cheerful and the bathroom has a bath and a cubicle shower. There is also a shower room with WC on the ground floor. The house is located in a peaceful residential area of New Milton, and next to Ballard Lake, an attractive pond very popular with waterfowl and surrounded by paths, willows, benches and picnic tables.
Why not leave the car at home, hop on a train from Waterloo and walk the 10 minutes to the house. The New Forest Tour bus stops close by and visits Lymington, Brockenhurst, Burley, Barton On Sea, Milford on Sea, Keyhaven and Hurst Castle. The 27 hole links golf course at Barton on Sea has amazing views across to the Isle of Wight. Cycles can be hired at various locations nearby and the open heathland of the New Forest is perfect for walks and picnics. The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum is a popular place to visit with over 300 exhibits and memorabilia and at Beaulieu Motor Museum over 250 vehicles can be seen. Lymington is a picturesque Georgian market town with great shopping, restaurants and sailing. The Keyhaven Nature reserve is a tranquil place to walk over the salt marshes and see the varied wildlife and in summer a ferry can be taken to Hurst Castle, built by Henry VIII as a coastal fortress. The 5* rated Barton on Sea beach is a great place for cliff top walks and the sandy beaches of Mudeford and Highcliffe are a short drive away. Some of the events that take place every year include the New Forest Marathon in September, the New Milton Pedal Car Grand Prix and the New Forest County Show, both in July.
