Dave, Debbie & Garrett. We always enjoyed coming to the mountains when we lived in Florida, needing our 'mountain fix' at least once a year. Now we live here year-round enjoying the change of seasons, unlimited outdoor activities, breathtaking nature and small-town friendliness. Maggie Valley is a great place for our family.. how about yours?
Debbie purchased this cabin in 2007
We self-manage the property and take great pride in providing that personal touch for our guests. We like to surprise them with a little 'southern hospitality' - fresh breakfast goodies, a canopy for your motorcycle or a unique memento for a special occasion.

Thanks for making our 33rd anniversary so special! We had a wonderful long weekend, & it was so nice to see you guys again! In all of our 34-plus years together we have been many places & stayed in many cabins, rentals, and B&B's. For a couple of years, we did some property management on Hilton Head. Your cabin is totally the nicest one we have ever stayed in. Even some of the top-end condos on Hilton Head did not have the amenities and special touches (like treats for Jake) that you provide for your guests. Throw in the beautiful view, privacy and serenity-You just can't beat it!
Oh yeah, the very nice hosts are a plus too! Hope to see you again soon!
Breathtaking!! What a wonderful, relaxing vacation! The pictures don’t do this cabin in the mountains justice. The views are out of this world especially in the morning with fog in the valley and the mountain peaks rising above.
There was fresh baked chocolate chip pumpkin bread and the fresh flowers upon arrival. The cabin was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you expect from cooking/baking utensils. The beds are very comfortable. The outside area is perfectly landscaped and the multi-level deck space is peaceful and inviting. We really just loved sitting on the front porch enjoying the peace and quite, while being totally in awe with the hummingbirds. Every night we would sit around the fire pit listening to the sheep in the pasture below.
The area offers some very good places to eat, all within 15 minutes of the cabin. Waynesville is a great little town. Try Sweet Onion, Fat Buddies. In Maggie Valley try the Moonshine Grill. We went to Asheville and did the Artist River Walk and ate at the Tipping Point. For the beer lovers, there are some great breweries in the area.
Debbie and Dave are wonderful. They went above and beyond providing us with the most relaxing and gorgeous retreat ever. They take genuine concern in your comfort level and make the renting process easy. I needed some help planning a surprised 30th birthday party and Debbie gave me a person to contact. I want to thank Shannon for doing a wonderful job with decorating the cabin, making a special meal and making a lovely cake.
We definitely will come back to this magical place. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.
It took us 4 years (only because of scheduling) but we made our promised 2nd return to this beautiful little cabin. It felt like coming home. First let me say again that working with the owners, Debbie and Dave , is a pleasure. They take genuine concern in your comfort level and make the renting process easy!
As soon as we walked in the front door, we felt right at home. Subtle changes were noticed, but the overall feel of the cabin flooded us with the great memories we had from the previous stay. Knowing exactly what we were getting gave us a very high level of comfort. The cabin was immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you expect from cooking/baking utensils to things you might not expect like a tool kit and first aid kit - It is those little things that make a difference!
As the photos show, the cabin is secluded and offers an amazing view of the mountain vistas and the valley down below. But pictures do not do justice. The outside area is perfectly landscaped and the multi-level deck space is peaceful and inviting. There is a small waterfall just behind the cabin that is music to the ears.
We only used the king bed and it is so comfortable there were days we didn't want to get up - and on the rainy Friday, that was home for most of the day!
From the zoning of the heating/cooling units to the couch and chair, it's all about the comforts like home.
The cable offers most of the channels you are accustomed to. The WiFi internet was fast and reliable. We have Sprint cell phones and they worked flawlessly! I was averaging 12 Mbps download on my cell when I forgot to connect to the WiFi
We brought our motorcycle and Dave and Debbie were kind enough to erect a canopy with a light to keep the bike nice and dry - Again, it is the little things like this that make a difference! We love riding in the mountains and the location of the cabin is perfect for us. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 30 minutes away and the Tail Of The Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and Moonshine 28 are about 1.5 hours away. Our favorite is the Blue Ridge Parkway!
The area offers some very good places to eat, all within 15 minutes of the cabin. We liked Rendezvous (Amazing fried chicken) Snappy's Italian Restaurant for pizza and thanks to Dave and Debbie for the tip about The Blue Rooster - Amazing Southern food!! We also ate at a few other places in Maggie Valley and must say we didn't have a bad meal at any of them.
We can't wait to return!
We stayed at this cabin for 11 wonderful days, the owners provide you with anything and everything you need and they are soooo nice..
The cabin is centrally located so it's is also convenient. The views are breathtaking, the Cain is so cozy and the beds are very comfortable. Waynesville is a great little town as well
Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Dave and Debbie are the best hosts a renter can ask for. The cabin is beautiful and stocked with everything you could imagine. Loved the fresh baked bread and the fresh flowers upon on arrival. And the bed is AMAZING! The view from the porch is awesome, pictures don't do it justice. We were close to everything, exactly what we were looking for, while still feeling "away from it all". Also, best place to get engaged, ever :)
The pictures definitely don't do it justice!! When we arrived, we couldn't believe how close to town we were, but it felt so remote. The flowers inside and outside the cabin were gorgeous! The sheep in the pasture below were definitely a surprise. I really enjoyed watching them and going down to see them. Latte' was so sweet and loved her head scratched. There was a multitude of birds to watch and listen to them sing. Everything that we needed was provided for us! Debbie brought Coolie (her doggie) up to see us one morning and Debbie is a wonderful person and Coolie was a sweetheart (we got kisses)!! The beds were very comfortable and we slept well, but not long...we were afraid we would miss the changes in the incredible view. We enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning and by the fire pit every night. When we discovered the first hummingbird of the year, we texted Debbie and she brought up some food and hung a feeder for them. I honestly can't think of a single thing that we needed or wanted while we were there, that could have made our stay any better (except that we didn't get to meet Dave or Garrett). Maybe next time!! Trying to figure out when we can come back!! We thank all of you, and the sheep, for making our vacation unforgettable!!!
This is a wonderful place to stay. It is so peaceful with such a awesome view. We enjoyed just relaxing here and when we did leave the cabin the road up and down is great, well maintained and not steep. The owners are super nice and are right there if you need anything. We have already made plans to return to this cabin and are looking forward to or stay.
Close to Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Biltmore House, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cherokee, waterfalls, camping/hiking and gem mining.
