I don’t think anyone doubts that the more you study what rentals and their rates are available, the better your decision will be in selecting just the one that meets your vacationing needs. I certainly hope you will do that until the ‘cows come in’. There is an important by-product to this studying process and that is learning about the area. You might even find yourself making up a ‘To Do List’…..something you didn’t think you would do for your vacation. My name is Peter Cole, and I am the owner’s representative. I went to the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Presently live in Davidson, just outside of Charlotte, NC. My friends and relatives worried about my having too much time on my hands in retirement so they gave me their resort properties to manage. My reputation as a good manager/agent grew. Right in the middle of the Barefoot Landing Golf and Yacht Resort. A little over a mile to the beach. Free shuttle. A stone's throw from South Carolina's largest swimming pool.
My wife and I stayed at the Havens villa in early Nov 09. We found the villa to be quite spacious, and close to everything. It was only 5 minutes to the Outlet Mall, which made for nice evening shopping, and 5 minutes the the SR 22 by-pass which provided easy access to Broadway at the Beach. It was located in a beautifully landscaped area (reminded us of Disney), which made for a nice morning or evening stroll. All in all, a very nice place, and we would definitely rent this unit again.
This place was perfect for our family of six. The kids had room to spread out, loved having a TV in their room and really enjoyed the feeling of being in a "home" for vacation. it was a place you enjoyed coming back to after a long day out in the sun and activities. We will definitely rent here again. And kudo's to Vince, he was not aware we purchased the linen package and he was over within hours to make the beds and deliver towels! Appreciated his fast response time!
My family stayed in this condo the week of July 11 - July 18 2015. The condo was large and clean. It was really nice having 3.5 bathrooms! The facilities at Barefoot are outstanding. The pool is great. And there is of course.... the beach! The property manger, Peter Cole, was a pleasure to deal with and my security deposit arrived within a week of checking out. I would definitely rent this unit again when we need a unit with a lot of space.
This was my families first trip to Myrtle Beach - when searching for a rental this location looked amazing, I hoped as we neared SC it would be all that the pictures portrayed. We were all SO excited when the property was EXACTLY as shown. It was our home away from home and made our vacation truly enjoyable. The peacefulness of the location made it great for a morning run or an evening stroll. The pool in the immediate community was fantastic, and the large pool was enjoyable however, if you wanted chairs you needed to arrive very early. It's far enough away so you can really relax but close enough that you don't have to ride forever to the beach or other attractions.
Peter, Vince and everyone we interacted with were truly wonderful. We will definitely be back!
We just got back from staying at this property and we truly hated to leave. We traveled with another couple and can honestly say that everything is exactly as pictured. The townhouse is located within reasonable distance of everything. We had a slight issue with the A/C and Peter and Vince were on top of it right away. We are already planning to visit Myrtle Beach again and will definitely stay at this property! We highly recommend the Cali Baker's Firehouse Pub & Grill on US17 (it can be easily missed, but has great food and is a tribute to fireman, police, etc.) and Bonefish Grill which was an upscale but reasonable priced restaurant. Medieval Times was great as well! We recommend staying away from Benjamin's Calabash Seafood.... not worth the money! And if you are looking for property to buy, visit Century 21 as Barefoot Realty isn't very helpful!
We really like the property and the location for this summer vacation. The property was well kept and everything was in order( Linens, keys, access). The townhouse was spacious and provided us with a great place to invite our other friends in the area. The maintenance manager was accessible( I only called him to let him know we checked into the home).
Recommendation: They should enclose the patio as several other properties adjacent are covered and it present another room that can be enjoyed.
A couple of light bulbs were out, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall the property was excellent and dealing with Peter was pleasant.
Perfect location to have a rental golf cart because it has to be stored in the garage in accordance with HOA rules. The Beach Shuttle in the summer is a nice option in getting to and from. Doesn't run on time and usually full. Upstairs at the Beach Cabana use is restricted to owners only. You can use the bathroom downstairs.
