Great 2 bedroom condo in Winter Park. Super convenient to the slopes. Great value for the money. Clean. Wonderful 12 feet+ ceilings in upstairs master bedroom. Overall, great experience.
Other reviews have said this condo is a gem and I agree. A couple friends and I stayed here in July for three nights for a race at Trestle Bike Park. Our criteria was simple; close to the resort, quiet/comfortable/warm/dry, and cost effective. This condo easily met our needs and provided much more. The condo is a very easy pedal away from the chair lifts, but is just far enough from the resort that you have privacy and quietness. The complex is not on a through-street, so vehicle traffic is at a minimum. The condo itself is on the second (top) floor and received almost no foot traffic during our stay. If there were neighbors to either side of the room, we never heard them. The only sound we heard at night was the flowing river that is a stone's throw from the back deck. The condo is clean, well kept, and is decorated like someone's home, not a cookie cutter commercial room. There are a few hints that indicate the complex's age, but they are very minor, and it is obvious that the condo has been well cared for and upgraded were it counts (e.g. the kitchen appliances, paint colors, and furnishings). The beds and sofas are very comfortable and inviting. The master suite has a full-size hot tub in it, which is something I have never seen before, but is a welcomed option after a long day of activity. The property owner is very nice, accommodating, and easy to work with; the most straightforward with pricing of any I contacted when planning this trip. Overall, I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a quite, comfortable place to unwind after a day of activity. It is properties and owners like this that make VRBO such a success. I will definitely book this one again in the future if I find myself in Winter Park for more than a day.
My husband and I stayed here for six nights! What a wonderful property and fantastic location. We enjoyed all the hiking opportunities in the Fraser River Valley and then coming home to this condo and all the amenities it had to offer was very comforting. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub to help soothe tired muscles, aching from hours of mountain hiking. The private decks allowed us to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while listening to the soothing sounds of the Fraser River as it flowed by. The views are wonderful and the area is quiet and calming. You can hear the wind in the pines, bird songs and the sounds of the river. We liked the fact that the condo wasn't actually located in Winter Park or at the resort - it is actually located between the two. We bought food in Fraser and saved lots of time and money by cooking all our meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The owner of this condo was very friendly and helpful and has done a nice job furnishing and decorating the space. This was a wonderful vacation and we will definitely try to come back again next year and stay in this property.
We rented this condo for 2 months, and absolutely loved it. It is truly a "home" with it's special touches and comfortable accommodations. It was perfect for our family of 5. The hot tub is amazing, the kitchen large enough to feed the troops, and the value of having our own bedroom/bath...priceless :) It is the last shuttle stop to the slopes, picking up right across the street. Or, you can easily walk it in 5 minutes or less. It's an incredible gem.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this great condo! The condo was very nice, very comfortably furnished. The master bedroom is big, with great views and a deck, and we definitely enjoyed the great hot tub! The location was lots of fun, next to the river and resort. Even at the lowest point of the season we found lots of fun things to do and enjoyed walking on the river trail near by. The owner was great to work with and we would love to stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable nice place to stay.
Summer activities abound at the base of Winter Park Ski area- There are several music festival weekends for Blues, Jazz and others at Hideaway Park in downtown Winter Park every summer. Mountain biking is very popular, as we have one of the largest trail systems in the state, along with races, benefits, etc. Check out Devil's Thumb Ranch for activities & spa. Enjoy!
