Great, cozy place close to everything.

The house is beautiful and very cozy. We felt at home immediately! Nancy was very helpful and gave us a lot of info about things to do in the surrounding mountains and in Asheville. She also welcomed us with a plate of cinnamon muffins and they were delicious! Thanks so much!

Nice get-away

  • 4 of 5

House was in good shape and had everything we needed. Owner met us with a welcome gift of cinnamon muffins and showed us where things were. Did not have to call them during our stay. Enjoyed sitting on the deck when home, and exploring the local area a bit. No real complaints, but we would have liked a firmer mattress in the master bedroom . . . but that is really a matter of personal preference. Overall, had an enjoyable stay. Nice get-away.

Relaxing Girls Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This little "cabin" is very easy to find. Conveniently located not far from I-26. Nancy, the owner, met us at the house and was very nice. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. Very quiet location! The hill is pretty steep getting up to the house but my little car had no issues so it shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Nice deck to sit out on at night. A grill would have been a great addition but not a big loss. We did white water rafting with Blue Heron in Marshall and it wasn't far at all. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area!!

Good for a couple and their dog!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. Jose and Nancy were quick, responsive, very easy to communicate with using the app and texting/calling. They were flexible with check-in. In other words, great hosts. The location is convenient to major highways and proximity to a grocery store. The closest Appalachian Trial location less than 8 miles away is a pretty hike. Mt Mitchell is a close-by Blue Ridge option too! Consider Max Patch too. We loved time on the porch. It's a quiet place the right size for a couple. They left out good booklets of places nearby too. Our Verizon wireless phones worked ok at times for small things at the house, which is to note if you need to research to make your plans once you arrive. At times it was hard to get data service for directions from the house. We forgiot there was no wifi. We used the kitchen each day and felt that it could use more utensils, pans, and storage containers (for left overs). Plan to bring paper towel and toilet paper. We also would recommend updating towels & bedding. We had a great time and felt fortunate to stay at this house in the mountains.

If your looking for some peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, come to this spot. Homemade muffins greeted us at the door, the owners were very accommodating, and the setting was serene with surrounding woods and exactly what I was looking for... Quiet. Close to Asheville and other attractions like the broad river rafting and zip line company (they are also awesome). Very nice get-away for a modest budget!!
