A cozy 4 season cottage on an unbelievably quiet dead end street just a 12 minute walk to Craigville, the best family beach on Cape Cod. Use our Landlord pass to visit all the beaches in Barnstable. When you get back, enjoy an outdoor shower, then build a barbecue on our brand new patio overlooking our completely private wooded backyard, which overlooks an old cranberry bog. Then stroll over to 4-Seas Ice Cream with the kids for dessert. If it rains, walk over to the old time candy store, the awesome playground right across the street, and the wonderful kids room at the Centerville library. Hyannis, with it's dozens of restaurants, nightlife, and ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nanticket, is just a ten minutes drive away.
Available at the house are kids toys, games, kids DVDs & VCR tapes, tricycle, cozy coupe car, wagon, crib, pack & play, beach cart, cooler, sand toys, beach chairs, washer & dryer, and kayak w/life jackets.
We are the Sukhia family: Cheri, Rohi, Sally (age 8) and Oscar (age 4). In addition, we have 2 rescue dogs who love to travel with us and run on the beach (Sept. to May!).
Cheri Sukhia purchased this house in 2004
We purchased this house before our daughter was born, because we knew it would be a wonderful place for our family to enjoy Cape Cod. Not only is the neighborhood family-friendly, but we have set up the house to cater to families with children and dogs. We continue to improve the property every year, and hope that you will take advantage of the wonderful home we have created.
This house is made for families with children, extended families, and families with dogs. However, it is also a quiet location for a couple of enjoy some quiet time listening to the wildlife in the backyard. We are close to the best that the Cape has to offer, including the nightlife and ferries in Hyannis, and the National Seashore further down the Cape.
We loved your home we love staying on Cape Cod so close to the beach and our favorite foresees ice cream we had beautiful weather and look forward to returning next year thank you again
The house is located in a lovely, quiet, green area. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you could ever need! Cheri was a very helpful and informative host. She took the time to respond to all of my questions quickly and with tons of information and suggestions. Thank you!
We have been vacationing here for years with our two small children and dog. The home is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to the beach and activities. It is well stocked and has everything you could possible need while on vacation. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and has made many recent upgrades to the home making your stay even more enjoyable.
Visit Craigville beach, 4Seas ice-cream, the playground, library, candy store or Centerville Museum. It is all within walking distance! Or Take a 5 minute drive into downtown Osterville for shopping and dinning.
We had a wonderful first visit on Cape Cod in no small part to this home's location in Centreville. It is close enough to go in any direction. We saw a sunset on Old Silver Beach in Falmouth and swam near seals on Nauset Light Beach the next day. Staying local was fantastic too, Craigsville and Long beach were within walking distance as was Four Seas Ice Cream. It was close to Centreville Pie Company which we very much enjoyed. The home is fully stocked with every little thing you need which was a pleasure. It was VERY clean and neat and was in a safe family neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and we made use of the air conditioners. The backyard is full of birds, very private with a fire pit on the patio and an outdoor shower. The kitchen and bathroom were not new but were serviceable. The home has books on what to do on Cape Cod and guides for seashells and birds. Our two small dogs loved it there too, especially the screened in porch. Out homeowner Cheri was available by phone and so nice. I would highly recommend this home and a visit to Cape Cod.
The house is wonderful and clean, the location is perfect. It's walking distance to the ocean. Our 3 yo son was able to cover the distance in a blink of an eye. However we took the car to the beach. Did not want to deal with caring all the beach necessities.
It's a real pleasure talking to the owner. Cheri is very nice and very detailed.
We are hoping for another year of such wonderful location.
Did i mention ICE CREAM? It’s a short pleasant walk to the most delicious ice cream place.
This cozy 3 bedroom was a great place for us to stay on the Cape. Easy to get to, centrally located , clean, quiet and private with all the extras you might need or want ( kayak or grill) I recommend this vacation home.
The Craigville Beach area is awesome. Craigville is the best family beach on the Cape, it's quiet and clean and nice. There are two snack bars a rest area, lifeguards. Off to the right walk past the mansions and you get to a spit called long beach which goes on for a couple miles with enough seashells to fill your car.. You can easily walk to a secluded spot, even in the middle of summer. On the other side of the spit is an inlet called the Craigville river with a couple quiet wave beaches full of hermit and fiddler and horseshoe crabs. It's a great place for the kids. Across the spit is Dowses Beach, a local favorite, and the other direction you can see the Kennedy compound and Hyannis.
Walking distance to the house is 4-Seas Ice Cream (best in New England), a cute local library with a great kids room, and an old time candy store with a wall of 10 cent candies.
Hyannis, the nightlife, restaurants, ferry to Nantucket , and Cape Cod Music Pavillion is 3.2 miles away.
