I brought two teenage grandchildren with me to Milan to learn about fashion, history and food for a week. The apartment was a perfect location from which to explore the wonders of Milan. The electronic amenities could keep my grandchildren content while we were in the apartment; they were able to connect to the internet and I was happy to watch my American news on my iPad. The apartment air conditioners kept the temperature comfortable throughout the hot summer nights, the apartment building was very secure and well kept and the apartment itself, since it faces the inner courtyard, was extremely quiet. We were delighted to be close enough to walk to the Duomo, the Contemporary Museum, The Rinasciente and to the fashionable high end shopping streets as well as to many good restaurants and cafes. My grandson had downloaded the "Uber" app to my cell phone and so we could take our little elevator to the street, step outside the building, call for an Uber cab and within 3 or 4 minutes a cab would appear, the driver spoke English (or could understand my attempts at Italian) and the reasonable charge would appear on my cell phone at the end of the ride. The apartment was close enough close enough for us to visit Brera, Naviglia, La Scala, The Prada Museum, the Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci and many fabulous restaurants. The host, Danny, was very helpful and generous and felt like he had become a friend. And, of course, the price was right. For the week, we felt like we had a little corner of Milan as our own.
Booked this apartment at the last minute during the last two weeks of the Expo and Danny was super responsive to arrange for our arrival and get the apartment ready. The location is excellent in the heart of Milano. A few blocks from the Duomo and the best shopping areas. We were there for the Expo and it was a quick block to the metro that took us directly there, so this would be an excellent choice if you are in town for a Fair. The apartment felt safe as the building is gated and it is in the back at a higher floor so it was also very quiet. The apartment itself is large for the center of Milan with two bedrooms. It could use a little updating or maybe just a touch of tlc. Would stay here again and recommend it to others.
This apartment was in the best location to window shop and wander. Excellent access to public transportation as well. The apartment had plenty of room for us to spread out and everything you might need in the kitchen if you decide to cook. We really appreciate how easy it was to communicate with the owner - Danny. He had wonderful suggestions and made you even more excited about exploring Marvelous Milan! We look forward to a return visit to this apartment.
My wife and I enjoyed this apartment and setting. The property was gated so we always felt safe. We were very close to the Metro so we could go virtually anywhere in no time at all. We also took advantage of the many shops that were available and found several good deals. Danny was a great host and provided us with everything we needed.
This property is very nice and close to the metro so it is very easy to find. Shopping was great with good several good deals nearby. Danny was a great host and even called to make sure everything was in order and asked if there was anything else we needed. He provided a lot of very nice extras which were greatly appreciated.
My sister, two nephews (9 & 11), and I spent 4 days in Milan in late June/early July and were lucky enough to stay in this apartment. I had read all the reviews prior to booking the dates and all raved about Danny’s hospitality. I could not have imagined a more hospitable place to stay. Danny thought of everything. He had someone waiting for us when we arrived, had filled the fridge with necessities (including my nephews’ favorite Nestea and bottled water), provided us plenty of information for the surrounding area, and was more than willing to answer any questions/concerns we had throughout our stay. He even had plenty of wine for us to enjoy…we just didn’t have the time to open a bottle. The air conditioning was ideal, considering it was the middle of summer, and after being out all day in the heat it was nice to return and have the ac to cool down in.
We packed plenty of sightseeing into our 4 days and the location of this apartment was perfect. It’s within walking distance to the Duomo and the surrounding area and just a couple blocks from the subway. We managed to walk everywhere and took the subway to the Expo and to the soccer stadium. The rest of the time was spent walking throughout the beautiful city.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone spending time in Milan and will definitely try to stay here again when I’m in Milan next.
Thank you Danny for providing us a home away from home for our first trip to Milan. Grazie Mille!
