Luxurious, well equipped accommodation in a very attractive part of the country.
Wow. Luxurious stay in charming accommodation, hot tub and sauna a real treat. Very well equipped for large groups. Attractive area with lovely walks and Herefordjust a few miles away. Caroline was a star, very responsive to queries and made sure all we needed as a large family group was provided.
Thank you for your review Tony, it was a pleasure to have you and your family at Cider Barn and we are pleased you had a lovely time.
A beautiful place to stay for a special occasion
I celebrated my 40th birthday with 12 friends here; from the moment we rolled up on the drive we knew it was going to be very special. There was a welcoming cake and snacks in the very well stocked kitchen, everywhere was immaculate. The paths were clear all around the property, round the hot tub and pool area. There were lots of accessories and games in the pool house that we could use (inflatable net, balls, lilos/body board), the sun loungers were amazing too.
The lounge area was very comfortable; there were huge deep sofas with big cushions with plenty of space for us all. The dining table was well positioned too. One suggestion would be to include much better instructions on how to use the TV. We didn't want to watch it, but wanted to have some music channels on...we managed to get onto the YouTube app to listen to some music and that was about it.
The grounds were very well kept, so peaceful with just the sound of birds and the church clock occasionally. Me and my friends were able to relax (having left the husbands and children at home!) that we all commented how brilliant it would be to return in the future.
Communication from the owners was very prompt, Caroline was so helpful in the early days of making the booking, right up until a few days before our stay. Thank you so much for everything, my friends and I had an amazing time. I hope we'll be back some time.
Thank you for your review, we are so pleased you had a lovely weekend. We have taken note of the television suggestion, thank you.
Please come again, you left the house so clean and tidy and were a delight to host
A beautiful property ideal for our family
This is such a lovely property. We had 3 couples and 4 children and there was more than enough room for all of us. We could have easily had another family with us. Everything has been thought of from the games and pool toys down to the equipment in the kitchen. All of the rooms are beautiful presented and the garden areas are wonderful.
Thank you Jane for your review and we are so pleased you had a lovely weekend. We would love to welcome you to stay another time so we hope you will come back
Excellent 5 star
Great accommodation and facilities. 10 out of 10 we had a fantastic time 5 couples with 5 kids and it was perfect. Recommended.
Thank you for your review, we are so pleased you had a lovely weekend in Cider Barn and we look forward to welcoming you back.
We stayed at the barn for a uni reunion. It was perfect the living space is amazing and everything is finished to a high standard!
We are pleased you had a lovely weekend for your gathering of University friends, we hope you will visit again soon
Beautifully presented. The property has great character and charm.
The kitchen is well equipped but generally a bit small for a large group to cook. The top mezzanine bedroom is very nice(although it is not private and open to the living area) but it needs to be explicit that it will not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
The log burner is welcoming as are the soft furnishings. The ambience is very relaxing and the living area works very well.
The hot tub got good use and was a great addition to a relaxing weekend. Overall we have had a great weekend thank you.
Thank you for your review and we are pleased you had a lovely time at Cider Barn.
Your points about the upstairs room is noted, thank you. We are aware that the kitchen is not huge, sadly we are unable to make it any bigger which is a shame.
Cider Barn is located just north of the cathedral city of Hereford, in the quiet village of Burghill. The generous accommodation sleeps up to 14 which makes it ideally suited as a house party venue for special celebrations, or for larger families looking for a luxury getaway in the UK. Hot Tub, sauna, private garden and large outdoor swimming pool. Beds can be either superking or two singles in four of the rooms and one room has an extra single and another single in a small room off the bedroom. The fifth bedroom has an antique king size (approx) bed. A sofa bed can be made up if the bunk beds are unsuitable. Maximum occupancy is 14. We also have The Lodge available which sleeps 4 in a superking and 2 single beds, adjacent to the Cider Barn but with separate entrance, ideal for a family or for the Grandparents of a large family group where they can have quiet time away from the bustle of a large group. An extra charge is payable for The Lodge. Burghill has a small village shop supporting a range of local produce, The Bell Inn; a bustling country pub with its own micro brewery serving gastro inspired food is within walking distance via the adjacent orchards. Also near by is Tillington Court, our locally famous and plentiful PYO farm and cafe that can be visited during the summer months. Hereford is approximately a 5 minute drive away, where you can enjoy the friendly hustle and bustle of this historic market city with its recently opened new quarter containing all the major shopping and restaurants names and Odeon cinema. It is also ideally placed to exploring further afield into the Wye Valley or walking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. The Burghill Valley and Herefordshire Golf courses are just ½ mile away, and for those who want to enjoy country life. We have an onsite beautician adjacent to the Cider Barn. Please book direct with Nicky at email@example.com The hot tub and sauna are included in all bookings made after 18th May 2016. Please take the time to read the advice in the Welcome Book and on the notice board in the Spa garden for use of the hot tub as the hot tub will have to removed from service if the water quality is not maintained. Care should be taken to remove all make up and body products before entering the hot tub and the chlorine dispenser must not be removed from the water.
