The Guest House provides convenient access to the fabulous Short North Arts District, The Ohio State University, Goodale Park, the Arena District and Grandview Yard from the heart of one of Columbus' most historic neighborhoods. It is within walking distance to highly acclaimed restaurants & night clubs, numerous art galleries, specialty boutiques & antique stores. About Lisa Craig Morton

I'm a former banker who left the industry after 25 years to start my own business. I love being an entrepreneur and part of the Short North business community. Owning and operating a guesthouse has given me the opportunity to be involved with Columbus' exciting tourism and hospitality profession. As a Certified Tourism Ambassador, I love welcoming guests from near and far to our amazing neighborhood.

In addition to being self-employed, I work as an art curator for a local university, where I curate six exhibitions of local artists and run an annual art auction. Being tapped in to the local art scene is a super way to be informed and introduce our guests to the Short North Arts District adjacent to the guest house.

I'm a huge foodie who loves cooking, experiencing new restaurants, going to farmer's markets, home-keeping, gardening, collecting art and antiques and rescuing cats!

Comfortable elegance; vibrant & cool neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Careful attention by the owners on this comfortably luxurious in-town property, combined with the location in an historic, vibrantly rich neighborhood makes for a perfect stay in Columbus. On the doorstep of the vast campus of The Ohio State University, and in the rich heartland of Victorian Village, this guest house is The Ritz meets reality. Elegantly owner-maintained gardens, a canopy of mature trees, and peaceful silence made the proximity to great, eclectic dining and shopping a highly satisfying juxtaposition that was worth more than the price I paid. A short, easy drive from Port Columbus airport, and nearby the downtown freeways and State Route 315, this place is the gem among the guest houses I have experienced.

Great location and very clean

  • 5 of 5

My wife , daughter and I just ended a fantastic stay at Victorian Village. We came down for OSU parents weekend and totally loved this charming little guest house. Lisa is a great host and provides everything we needed. Location is within walking distance to university and homes are gorgeous on the street. We will be back again for sure. Loved watching the two cats from the loft window outside in the courtyard.

Fabuluous

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying at VVGH, and it was exquisite as always. This property is beautiful inside and out, and has everything you could possible need for your stay. There are no other fellow lodgers in the property, so no slamming doors or noisy elevators dinging through the night. Just blissful quiet in the lovely Victorian Village neighborhood. The owners have plenty of information provided to help make plans for dining, entertainment, shopping or strolling around. We made use of the cooking facilities, dishwasher, and clothes washer and dryer during our stay. This site is truly special and an excellent value in a major city.

Well appointed carriage house off of High Street

  • 5 of 5

One of the nicest HomeAway rentals I have experienced -- beautiful loft space on the top floor of a refurbished carriage house in a historic part of Columbus. Quiet. Well appointed. Gracious host. Great place for anyone visiting the area.
