Janice Patterson purchased this condo in 1994
We chose to buy our vacation rental, because our dream had always been to live in Hawaii. As the time neared, we decided that Kona was the place for us. We felt it had the most desirable weather, fishing, and most harmonious cultural blend. We felt the community desire was to work together for the best interest and welfare of all.
We initially were attracted by the beauty of our ocean, magnificent sunsets, lush tropical plants and landscaping. The cultural activities of Hawaii, being hula or ukulele to name just a few, are available for all. There are so many activities available that it is difficult to choose. The Hawaiian culture is gracious, generous, humble, and willing to share the beauty of their heritage.
As our nearly 3 weeks stay in your condo at Kailua Village draws to a close, we wanted you to know what a wonderful time we had. The unit is absolutely Terrific! The layout, the furnishings, the view, and the location could not be better. You two have thought of everything to make a stay Perfect . . from the beach chairs to the rice cooker. You have overlooked and forgotten nothing. I'm not sure our home in California is equipped as well.
As you know, this is my third and J's second trip to the Big island, and we were here during the Aloha Festival activities. We felt that we had the time to really get to see the Island and enjoy the people and the Hawaiian culture. You are really blessed to call this home.
You can bet that we will tell anyone planning a trip to Kona to contact the Pattersons.

A lovely spacious condo with a great view of the ocean from the 6th floor (don't worry, there are 2 lifts!). The condo is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, oven and cooker with 4 hobs, and every kitchen utensil you would ever need.
The owners are extremely helpful, friendly, and made sure we enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this condo and would stay here again if we ever came back to Kona.
My fiancé and I stayed at this condo for 6 nights during the month of August. The owners are such lovely and kind people. They are very organized and thoughtful with the renting process. When we first walked in, we were overjoyed with the ocean view. It was amazing sitting on the patio in the morning and evening, relaxing to the sound of the water. The condo has all the basic necessities for your stay. I think the only thing that would have been nice to have were two boogie boards, but beach towels, toys, bags, and sand mats are provided! I highly recommend this spot! We cannot wait to stay at this condo again the next time we visit the Big Island.
The condo and the building are in great condition and found everything to meet my expectations. The ocean sounds and views were as promised and saw spinner dolphins twice. Only a few times could I hear the neighbors but only through the windows as the building itself is sturdy and didn't allow any sound through.
Is worth mentioning though that during my stay there were coqui frogs calling all night that can get tiresome after awhile.
Overall I really enjoyed my state here and would come back if I stay in Kailua-Kona.
We stayed during the Ironman 2015 in this lovely condo.
The condo is located very central in kona and it is easy to walk everywhere.
It is very good equiped (beach equipment, ...) and there is a nice kitchen in it as well.
The communication with the owner was very nice and the condo has a nice sea view.
If we go to Kona again we would come here again.
This spacious one bedroom condominium is delightful. It provides a home away from home feel and is very well presented and equipped. The owners have thought of everything it would seem to help you enjoy a short or longer-term stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with modern appliances and there is a great selection of crockery and cutlery.
Private lanai with 6th floor views over ocean
Light and airy, spacious condo
TV with cable subscription.
Walk in shower
Good selection of restaurants very nearby
More restaurants and bars on the beach road all within easy walking distance
Onsite swimming pool with poolside gas grill
This condo was just perfect for the wife and I. The condo itself was perfectly comfortable. It was nice being able to close the privacy screen to the bedroom, as I tend to wake up before the wife. The view from the lanai was great, we enjoyed many sunsets from here. One of the best features is the easy walk to everything in Kona - the shops, the pier, Don the Beachcomber's, Ali'i Drive, etc. It's about a block away from it all. (If you are an ironman geek, like I am, you'll appreciate being right on the course, about a half mile from the finish line. Imagine all of your favorites running down this same road past the hot corner and onto the final stretch). I hope you realize this is a regular condo building, and many of the units have full-time residents. No worries there, but just know there is no concierge, gift shop, diner, etc. This is a home, not a luxory resort. If you're looking for a quiet place for your home base, this place is great. Mahalo Janice!
