The Stable is a sympathetically refurbished cottage for four. It is one of five cottages on a working farm close to the New Forest which have been transformed from their original use into sylish and comfortable holiday accommodation.
The semi-detached cottage consists of a spacious and well equipped open plan kitchen, sitting and dining room complete with woodburning stove on the first floor. The two bedrooms are on the ground floor - a double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom with a shower room just across the hall. The front door leads onto a delightful shared courtyard for outdoor dining which has a covered area with barbecue.
Upper Kingston is just two miles from the centre of Ringwood, an historic market town located on the River Avon and on the edge of the New Forest National Park. It is an ideal touring base for visiting the south coast of England and surrounding area. It is well placed on the Avon Valley path, a 34 mile walk from the cathedral city of Salisbury, to Christchurch Priory on the south coast. Ringwood has long been associated with beer making and Ringwood Brewery, just a mile away offers brewery tours. For an action packed holiday then Ringwood has plenty to offer. At Moors Valley Country Park you can take a Segway Forest Safari or zip wire through the trees. At Blashford Lakes, just a short drive away, the Ellingham Water ski club organises water skiing, wakeboarding and even a ride on an inflatable banana. At New Forest Activities in Beaulieu you can enjoy archery, hire a kayak, enjoy raft building or take a bushcraft course, and throughout the New Forest horse riding and bike hire can be organised. At the Ski Centre just a few miles away, you can learn to ski, or ride a ski bob or ringo down the slopes. The sandy beaches of Bournemouth are just 9 miles away and Sandbanks with its Blue Flag award can be reached in 13 miles. At Hengistbury Head Beach and Nature Reserve there is a land train that takes you to Mudeford beach, with its picturesque beach huts.
