Not what is advertised
We expected to stay in a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with air conditioning as advertised on HomeAway. We arrived to find there were only 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with no air conditioning. The apartment itself was modern and clean but not what we needed for 5 adults. Once we showed the on site manager our confirmation of 4 bed/2 bath apartment, she said she could arrange for us to stay in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment (no air conditioning) for our last 2 nights. So for our first night we were provided an additional single cot for the 5th adult. The 3 bedroom, 1 bath apartment was clean and spacious but very outdated and not representative of what we had originally booked.
We were charged a parking fee despite the parking lot being full. We were reimbursed for this by the on site managers when we brought this to their attention.
When I originally sent a booking request, Natalino accepted the request and charged my credit card without answering multiple questions that I had (one question I had was confirming that there were 4 beds and 2 baths). I tried sending messages three more times over one week without any answers. On the day of check in, I called Natalino and he directed me to the on site managers who were very helpful.
The damage deposit was not refunded until I contacted both Natalino and the on site managers one week after check out.
Not what was expected
We were disappointed that although we were in text contact with the local manager for two days prior to our stay, there was no mention of a change in plans. Upon arrival, we were told that 'one of the bedrooms was broken' at the house and we would be staying somewhere else. We were taken to a much smaller spartan apartment, which was closer to town, and the trains, making it far more crowded, noisier and less relaxing than the house we had hoped to be staying in. As a result, we changed our plans to stay longer, and decided to leave a day early. We were offered a reduced rate to stay, or a reimbursement for the last night, but only if we 'provided our bank information'. Needless to say, we did not.
