About Gillian Fleming
Growing up on the West Coast of Scotland this is where my heart lies with the beautiful scenery and mild weather. There is so much to do around the local area for all ages or just simply relax and enjoy the tranquility and views.
Gillian Fleming purchased this House in 2011
Why Gillian Fleming chose Lochgilphead
We have been coming to Craobh Haven to spend Easter for more than a decade and fell in love with the views of a neighbouring property before this one was built. As soon as we stepped inside Taigh Nam Broc the relaxation is instantaneous with those views.
What makes this House unique
Large and spacious there is a feeling of tranquillity and watching the amazing changing views is mesmerising. Nature is all around with walks and boat trips from the doorstep and an excellent local pub less than 10 minutes walk. Unlitited ultra fast broadband means all the family can have connectivity or choose to switch off and enjoy this magical place

This is a beautiful house in an incredible location. With the perfect if uncharacteristic weather
The location, the house, the view, the Lord of the Isles, Barry and the Jenny Wren made our visit a week in paradise.
Thank you very much for your kind review.
The property was very comfortable. The location is rather isolated with a small marina and one pub. Basic grocery shopping was 30 minutes by car.
The hot water is on a timer and we did not have hot water at the time we were eating breakfast and getting cleaned up. The morning of check out the hot water heater came on as we were loading the cars to depart. At a minimum it would help if the start and stop times for the hot water heater were listed so the group could plan around this issue.
WE LOVED IT!
This home is so lovely we did not want to leave! The views from the back deck and the 2nd story library are STUNNING! The kitchen is so well equipped that if we’d cooked, there was everything we needed. The beds are super comfy; there is plenty of room. The pub is close by. The Home Away map takes you to the marina but the home is actually above it on the same street as the Corrie House.
Everyone is so friendly! Gillian is wonderful. Very responsive when we had any questions. If I come back, I’d definitely stay here again!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review Sonya. Kind Regards Gillian
Wonderful property excellent location
The house is in a great spot with terrific views and plenty of space inside.
Wonderful house for a family holiday!
Eight of us had a most successful family get-together in this lovely house and can highly recommend it. It is very light and very spacious, well arranged, furnished and equipped, and has truly amazing views. We were extremely lucky (in mid-April!) to have 6 out of 7 fine and warm days and so had all the outings and walks that we'd planned. Even if it had been wet/snowy/cold there was plenty to do in the house - the table-tennis table, large-screen TV and piles of books and DVDs were much appreciated!
We did a lot of cooking and had other family members staying in the area over to the house for a meal - twelve of us sitting at the big table in the dining room and out on the terrace for pre-dinner drinks, no problem! The kitchen was big enough for several people to be working in there at the same time with more than enough crockery and glasses, cutlery, pans etc.to make it very easy. We also had an excellent meal and various drinks at the 'Lord of the Isles' down the hill.
Very comfortable beds and sofas, plenty of hot water, even a telescope to look at the stars and it was so peaceful ...... none of us wanted to leave!
Thank you Cathie, so pleased to hear what an excellent time you all had. Kind regards
Lovely house in stunning location
A spring short break with family to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary. The photographs available on line are an accurate reflection of all this lovely house has to offer....spacious rooms, comfortable beds, plentiful seating for relaxing and dining and a high standard of cleanliness combined with wonderful views, privacy and peace and quiet thanks to its hillside location above Craobh Haven. Highly recommend and would hope to return.
Thank you Alyson for your lovely review, hope that you do return. Kind Regards Gillian
Corryvrekan Whirlpools are nearby and boat trips available from the Marina. Sea eagles, porpoises, seals, otters can all be seen in the vicinity. Old Capital of Scotland at Kilmartin Glen is nearby with standing stones and ancient history.
