THE Cottage is a great place to explore the delights of the Somerset countryside. At the property you will find a hamper on arrival (applies to stays of 3 nights +) and wellington boots so that you can get out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We can organize chef and beauty treatment on site or for more relaxing pastimes, lose yourself in the latest audio visual entertainment in the drawing room or cinema room and keep in touch with the outside world on the iPad provided. Outside: To the front of THE Cottage is an enclosed cottage garden which boasts a well-tended lawn, succulent fruit trees, and an al fresco dining area which will be a favourite spot to sit and catch the last of the day's sun rays with a favourite tipple. Beside THE Cottage you will find the tennis court. Please note that the tennis court is not state of the art and does not have a modern surface.

Lovely Cottage !!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely Cottage is a true Gem! It has everything you are looking for and more, from the cosy Aga in the kitchen to the warm decorated living room with its fireplace. We had a great time and hope to return again!!

Cosy Rural Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We (a couple, small child and grandparents) settled upon this pretty Upton Noble holiday let, seeking somewhere within striking distance of Bath and spacious enough for us all to feel at home. From the website photos the cottage looked traditional and cosy, yet stylish and we weren't disappointed... Upon our arrival, a handwritten note and an iPad told us all we needed to know (the latter serving as instant contact to Pavla and Andrew at The Home Escape - who were so helpful when booking - should we have any queries) Feeling travel weary we appreciated the generous selection of local goodies also waiting for us on the kitchen table, where the warmth from the Aga added to the rural cosiness. A quick look in the cupboards confirmed it had everything we could need from a kitchen (even little kiln jars filled with store cupboard essentials like sugar, pasta etc, also an 'honesty tuck box') We all loved sitting around the wood burner in the downstairs lounge in the early evenings, where you can find great coffee table books, stacks of mags and fun family boardgames. Upstairs, we found our bedrooms very comfy (all commenting on how lovely the beds were) and little things like having bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and DAB radios added a hint of hotel luxury. Having a little one with us we didn't venture out in the evenings, so the real star for us was the DVD projector in the upstairs lounge. We all thought having our own mini cinema was just fab! Definitely recommend this place for families (especially because the upstairs rooms interconnect) and imagine it's fantastic in the summer when the pool and tennis court can be used. Thank you, THE!
