What an awesome find!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I really enjoyed our time here in Makaha Beach, Oahu. Being away from the hubbub and traffic of Honolulu made this place a quite, peaceful respite that we were looking for. Here's what we appreciated about this condo:

1) The view was fantastic no matter what time of the day it was. We even saw a turtle from the corner of the lanai.

2). The condo is very spacious, was very clean when we checked in, very comfortable, very private and very quiet. The furniture throughout the condo was very comfortable and made us feel at home.

3). The louvered window in the changing room added a nice breeze that could be felt throughout our stay

4) The kitchen was very user friendly and well stocked with everything we needed to cook with.

5). Although there were only two of us that got to enjoy this great place having a half bath and a full bathroom with a great shower was a blessing.

6). Really appreciated the fact that most of the light switches were labeled making nightly searches to turn lights on or off a "nonexistent" chore.

7). Finally kudos to the staff at the "Hawaiian Princess" including security, house keeping, grounds keeping, and the times share office. They were like a big "Ohana" going out of their way to answer our questions and giving us directions to the grocery stores, and Longs Drugs. Kudos also to the head pharmacist at Longs Drugs who gave us directions to the Emergency Room and filled my wife's perscriptions. The Makaha/Waianae Ohana are awesome! We will be back!

Our favorite getaway

  • 5 of 5

After many visits to Hawaii we have found our favorite getaway. This was our 4th visit to the Hawaiian Princess condo and we have enjoyed every stay. The beach is never crowded and we watch sea turtles from our lanai every day. We even saw whales on this most recent trip. We will definitely be back later this year. My wife and I do a lot of walking, and even though the surrounding area sometimes gets a bad rap, we have never had any problems of any kind. The view from the condo is spectacular and the sunsets beautiful. My personal favorite time is early morning sitting on the lanai drinking my coffee and reading my Bible while the sound of the ocean waves fills the air. The personnel at the condo are the best.

there isn't a more perfect place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect condo with a view of the beach and ocean that is absolutely stunning! The kitchen has everything you might need. There's a closet filled with books and games, and a large screen TV (that we hardly watched!). The walk in closet and 1 1/2 baths are a plus. Also a beautiful pool and hot-tub for relaxing. And a gated lot for extra secure parking. Inga's Realty was a dream to work with for the reservation. There really are no negatives about this condo - we loved it!!!

Some context and a caution

  • 3 of 5

This is a practical, spacious 1-br condo on the 13th floor, overlooking a stunningly beautiful (and uncrowded!) beach. It’s managed by a local realty company, which is useful and reliable (an important reassurance for private rentals). The owner provides useful, comprehensive directions.

It’s worth noting the Hawaiian Princess is not a resort complex, nor is the leeward coast of Oahu a resort area. The building is set in a very modest residential area with sadly too many homeless camped along the coast. The location is significant because it explains the relatively few tourists on the beach and it also means there are no on-site cafes/dining and nearby options are restricted. Take advantage of a good kitchen in the condo for self-catering!

We’d also advise future renters to double-check on building maintenance. The Hawaiian Princess has been undergoing major reconstruction work intermittently over the last 3 years. Unexpectedly this re-started for the week we were there, meaning no daytime access to the pool and very very disruptive loud noise – driving us out for all working hours. After hours and at the weekend were far more peaceful and pleasant.

Beautiful Views!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was perfect. Clean, convenient, secure, and well stocked. We realled like the large corner unit, which gave us two large lanais. The ocean view and sounds of the ocean were a highlight. I highly recommend this unit! Dr Fred was very easy to deal with, to make the reservation.

A Hawaiian Gem

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I love staying in Fred's condo at the Hawaiian Princess. It is different than the other condos because Fred's has a wrap around lanai. The view is breathtaking. If you love a gorgeous view, sounds

of the ocean crashing and watching people play in the the surf, then this condo is for you.

Turtles swim by and we viewed many turtles on the sand at the beach a 1/2 mile north.

The condo has everything you need. Complete kitchen, nice beach towels, snorkel gear, and all the stuff needed for a day on the sand.

You won't be sorry if you choose Fred's place.
