Mira Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Three holiday apartments , in the grounds of a historical Villa Veneta

Villa Pastori is situated in the commune of Mira, on the Brenta Riviera, midway between Venice (12.5 miles / 20 km) and Padua (14 miles / 22 km), both easily reached by car or public transport. The villa has a large well-equipped garden 3000sq m with abundant outdoor furniture, sun lounges, gazebo and barbecue. Car parking is inside the property. The three apartments are the result of a careful restructuring of the farm outbuildings attached to an 18th century villa, occupied on a part-time basis by the owners. During the renovation process we tried to keep the character of an ancient Venetian villa: the original roof, with its exposed wooden beams, and the terracotta floors were preserved. The apartments are tastefully furnished, including some antique furniture.

We set a website plenty of photos and further details of the three apartments and the Villa. Please contact us for the site address.

About Alessandro Sisto

Hallo! My name is Alessandro Sisto. I worked as a scientist in a pharmaceutical company for forty years and now I am retired. I deal in first person the contact management with guests.

My family owns from the middle of 1800 Villa Pastori, a typical example of venetian Villa built in the 1780. Now it is rather difficult to maintain the Villa taking into account property taxes, maintenance costs and need of restoration. We then decided to share a part of the Villa (the old warehouses, storage of carriages, the cellar ...) transforming the Barchessa side into three apartments. From the rentals it derives the necessary for the maintenance of the villa, which we could not otherwise bear.

My main interests are cinema (my wife and I did not lose every year the Venice Film Festival in Venice) gardening (especially the vegetable garden), reading (books about detective) and my three cats.

Alessandro Sisto purchased this apartment in 1830

Why Alessandro Sisto chose Venice

Do you want to make your visit in Italy truly memorable?

Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of this historical landmark surrounded by a 3000 sqm park just some minutes away from Venice and Padua.

Welcome to Villa Pastori!

The property was built at the end of the 1700 and it’s a fine example of the Palladian Villas that were used by Venetian nobles during the hot summer to relax.

Today, Villa Pastori offers to his guests the charm of experiencing the inspiring and comfortable life in a villa for a budget price.

The Apartments.

In 2005, a major renovation of one of the three blocks - The Barchessa - was carried out, restoring the original design and opening 3 apartments available to our guests.

Come to enjoy the quiet of Villa Pastori, the perfect place to relieve from the stress of modern day life.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Jo -(November '06) 'The apartment at Villa Pastori has been wonderfully and tastefully renovated with lots of space and lovely furniture. Having all the kitchen facilities as well made it a great choice for our stay with a teenager and a baby. Its in a lovely quiet spot but only a short walk to shops and an easy bus ride into Venice. We hope to be back soon! ' Sue (October '06) ' I need to thank you for providing the child's bike it meant such a difference to the holiday - we cycled everywhere and it was excellent. The property was so beautifully converted and furnished so tastefully - everything we needed was there. Mira is a lovely place to base yourself with plenty to do without driving too far. We took the boat from Fusina to Venice. We walked every morning to the local store to buy fresh bread and cheese and in the evenings we were able to walk to a local bar or restaurant.'

Charming resort in a historical landmark - Villa Pastori, apartment Tiglio

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Pastori the last two weeks in September 2008. We stayed in “Tiglio” one of the four tastefully restored apartments within the grounds of Villa Pastori. All apartments have been restored to a high standard and are well equipped, very clean and comfortable. There is also a pleasant outdoor space with seating area and secure car parking.

Maria our contact was very nice and helpful as was everyone we met. The Villa is within walking distance of shops, cafes and restaurants in Mira. We would recommend Villa Pastori both as a base from which to explore the Veneto and for easy access to Venice.

The boat from Fusina into Venice is a lovely way to approach the city. Chioggia, which is a Venice in miniature with some excellent fish restaurants, is also worth a special mention.

Owner's Response: IIt is a pleasure for us that Elisabeth and Mervin have recognized the efforts we spent to give our hosts the best stay in a Venetian Villa. We tried to recover the ancient spirit that push the old Venetians to spend their holidays in the surroundings of Venice, building hundreds of Villas in the triangle Venezia-Padova-Treviso. Thank you again for the kind review.

Great base to see Venice, Padua, & area

  • 4 of 5

Very pleased with all the facilities, the apartment was very comfortable , good bathroom, kitchen and lounge, we enjoyed the Italian TV, bedroom, wi fi, heating and terrace. Simonetta was charming and helpful. We enjoyed our visit to the family chapel. Mira offers shopping, bars, restaurants, local market and super fish shop!! Good access to Venice by boat and train. Access to and from villa a bit difficult due to proximity to the little bridge

Worth returning!!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in this beautifully renovated little apartment was an enjoyable experience. It's kept very clean and is very well equipped. Although situated close to a quiet road, the triple glazing ensured that we hardly hard the occasional local traffic. The owner and the caretaker of the villa are extremely friendly and helpful and we would certainly recommend this as a very good holiday apartment for all ages and an ideal base from which to explore a very historic part of Italy.

A place with a character

  • 5 of 5

This year I chose to stay at Apartment Platano for the second time. The apartment combines modern facilities with a spirit of a traditional Veneto place. The owner and the manageress are very helpful and friendly, and they do their best to make your stay enjoyable. I'm grateful for reccommending us places such as Cappella degli Scrovegni in Padova, which we wouldn't have otherwise seen. Villa Pastori (the main building of the property) is also a place of interest on its own. I definitely reccommend for anyone who wants to experience Veneto beyond the main tourist-trodden paths.

Schöner Aufenthalt

  • 5 of 5

Pleasant place to stay

  • 4 of 5

Villa Pastori is a very pleasant place to stay. It's location is very good for visiting Venice and other local cities and towns like Padova and Treviso. The local town has supermarkets within easy walking distance. The accommodation was clean and more than adequate and we were well looked after. We had a look at the chapel which, like the villa itself was of historical interest.

I would recommend staying here if you want somewhere quiet and clean with a historical feel.
