WE ARE FINDING THAT MORE AND MORE PEOPLE LIKE STAYING ON THE BAY SIDE BECAUSE IT IS QUIETER THAN THE OCEAN SIDE...especially when so easy to access both! We like north mission beach also because you cannot hear any noise from any planes from the airport which can be heard when staying in south mission beach. THIS PROPERTY IS IN A QUIET AREA. Play on the sand, walk on the flat beach for miles, enjoy the boardwalk for jogging, riding bikes, roller blading, skate boarding, or just walking. Swim in the bay or rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, or small sail boats at the nearby Mission Bay Aquatic Center. There are many bike rental places nearby as well. This is really a recreation paradise.

I BOUGHT A NEW CONTEMPORARY SECTIONAL COUCH TO ADD MORE SEATING AND DID NOT HAVE A CHOICE OF SLIP COVER COLORS THAT WOULD WORK EXCEPT CREAM. I HAVE COVERED DINING CHAIRS, BUT ALSO WHITE PLASTIC CHAIRS IN THE GARAGE FOR SMALL CHILDREN THAT ARE COMPLETELY WASHABLE. I WANTED TO APPEAL TO ADULTS AND THEN OFFER THINGS FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AS WELL. THIS HOUSE DOES NOT REQUIRE MORE CARE THAN YOUR OWN HOME....JUST SAND REMOVAL AT THE FRONT DOOR WITH A HANDY RINSE CONTAINER AS WELL AS HOSE.
Location is important because if you are on the east side of the bay over by the Hilton Hotel, you do not have walking access to the ocean side or restaurants without getting into your car and driving.
This is a ground level property with private patio and the bedrooms are on the second level. We have two comfy kings and one queen bed with an option of a twin Aero bed if needed.
The property is just minutes from downtown San Diego and just across the bay from the very popular theme park, Sea World. This property is ideal for families and anyone looking for a bit of paradise to retreat to for a wonderful vacation. My husband and I live right here in San Diego and are able to oversee the property. It makes a difference because we can give it that 'home away from home' feel and add our personal touches to help you create a wonderful vacation experience.
We want our guests to enjoy all of the additional touches. The kitchen is very well equipped as we know how frustrating it can be when you do not have something you need and have at home in your own kitchen to make your cooking experience and life a bit easier. The dishes all match as I believe the importance of having nice things for your use. I did not want any hand me downs for your beach experience. We also have place mats and votive candles.
WE ALSO HAVE CHILDREN IN MIND. We have a booster seat with two option levels for the tray table top, two step stools for little ones - upstairs and down and several toddler life jackets. WE HAVE A PACK AND PLAY, BED RAIL, AND A BABY GATE. There is a rinse container at the front door and we provide towels for sand removal and even an outdoor heated shower. Parents appreciate easy sand removal!
Water recreation area: You can rent recreation equipment nearby. We have two rental sites at the end of Santa Clara Court which is a short walk from the property. EXPERIENCE PADDLE BOARDING, KAYAKING, SAILING TO NAME A FEW....ALL IN FRONT OF YOUR PROPERTY. It is the greatest place to ride bikes as we have miles of flat boardwalk on the ocean side and ocean bay side of the mission beach peninsula. It is a recreation paradise!!
Walk out your front door and experience the beach, the boardwalk and the ocean bay in front of you. It is a short walk to the ocean side. You can walk for miles....unique experience that few beach areas can offer. Usually when you start to walk in most beach areas, you run into a rock formation or the beach ends....that is why this is so unique.
In the busy season, it is great to be on the quieter ocean bay side. In the winter season, the ocean bay side shelters you from the breeze over the ocean.....its a good spot! You can also walk to restaurants and shops.

The living area is on the ground level with the half bath and the bedrooms are on the second floor. The master has a full beach and water view (with private deck). The other two bedrooms also have a deck. This also offers great breezes when you have doors in the bedrooms rather than just windows. We have great cross ventilation from the sea breeze.

I am middle age and live here in San Diego with my husband. Our two children are grown and out of the house now. We absolutely love the beach and all of the emotions one experiences from the exhilerance of the pounding surf to the serenity of watching the sail boats skim across the ocean bay. I have always been drawn to the beach and just love living about 15 minutes from the ocean. I was a flight attendant for 25 years and went to school in the 90's and studied holistic health and nutrition. Now I am enjoying helping guests find a wonderful spot for their beach vacation. I care about my guests and am committed to making sure the property is clean and well equipped for you. I also pride myself in presenting a property that does not look like a rental. I like to keep things new and fresh with a very nice professionally decorated (Pottery Barn) feel. CLOSE TO BIKE RENTAL PLACES, AS WELL AS THE MISSION BAY AQUATIC CENTER, AN OUT DOOR PUBLIC TENNIS COURT AND AN OUTDOOR HALF BASKETBALL COURT. What makes this House unique
Location, location, location. You are right on a quiet beach with peaceful water views and many recreation opportunities at your finger tips or you can just relax on the beach. You do not have to get into your car and drive any where. It is all right here. About 90 steps to the west is the ocean and you are about 15 to 20 minutes from all the attractions people come to San Diego to see. The convenience of this area cannot be matched. Fun to be on the ground level so you can walk right out to the beach. With the bedrooms upstairs, you have a full beach & water view from the master suite & additional privacy from the first floor. We take pride in making sure the property is clean and comfortable for our guests..... It is nice to find a place where the owners take pride in the property and keep it new, fresh, clean, and well maintained. It is beautifully and tastefully decorated. This really looks and feels like a home away from home. I really strive to make sure you have everything you would need to be comfortable and to ensure you feel at home and like this is a special place for your well earned vacation and vacation dollars. I think also important is that we do not allow pets. We love pets, but we feel meeting our high cleanliness standards just would not be possible with dogs on furniture and in the beds, etc. So we think our guests would appreciate a fresh, clean environment knowing that there have not been any pets here. When you think about it, having a dog in and out from the beach and in the water and then coming in to the home would lower the standards.

Perfect beach getaway to relax and rejuvinate.....
Wow, what a lovely surprise at a great value on the bay in Mission Beach! If you are looking for a hassle free, turn key, quiet, relaxing, inspiring place at the beach in San Diego - this is the place for you.
In the past 12 months, I have stayed at two other places in Mission Beach that were much more expensive....and I prefer this condo by far. Don't get me wrong, the other two places were nice, but this spot felt like home.
Mission Beach has two sides to it when you're speaking of "beachfront" - there's the bay side(quiet, calm, peaceful, relaxing and no crowds) and there's the ocean side(lots of people, party scene, restaurants & bars, etc.). My preference is to stay on the bay side for the peace & quiet...then If I'm feeling like some action, I take a 5 minute walk over to the ocean side of Mission Beach.
This place is immaculate and very comfortable/livable at the same time. Everything you need is provided, including a "guest information book" that Shirl, the gracious, friendly, helpful owner has put together with listings of local restaurants, grocery stores, etc. All of the appliances are in perfect working condition. The furnishings are of exceptional quality and at the same time functional for beach living. The beds are VERY comfortable - I slept like a baby in the master bed. I really like the flow from indoor to outdoor beach living - the living room opens to a spacious patio with a nice barbeque grill and dining table. The patio and master bedroom deck are both great for sunrises and sunsets, as well as a morning cup of coffee or sunset cocktail.
It has very good internet connection, cable TV, etc. for your business or entertainment needs, but I recommend enjoying leisurely strolls on the path along the bay.
This place is truly a gem and Shirl went out of her way to make sure I had an enjoyable break from the Los Angeles grind. If you want a hassle free, relaxing beach getaway...I HIGHLY recommend staying here for as long as your schedule permits!
Comfortable, good location
Very comfortable (we had six adults). Included: coffee filters, laundry soap, paper towels, salt and pepper, beach towels, chairs,...etc, pump soaps at each faucet and each shower... this list doesn’t include everything, just what I often need to grab at the store when staying at other condos. Beds are very comfy. Good location. Beautiful views of the bay. Beach is very close. Clean. Would definitely stay here again.

My family spent 8 days here over our Christmas vacation. The location, on Mission Bay, was great and we enjoyed our stay. The owner, Sheirl, is a terrific lady and will do anything to insure your vacations is worry free.
There were some minor issues. My Honda Pilot would not fit in the garage so I had to find additional parking in the area. The fireplace was not working. Not a big deal but, if the unit has a fireplace you expect it to work. Also, the kitchen was small. It was a challenge cooking Christmas dinner for 6 people.
Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and would stay here again on a future trip to San Diego.

I certainly work hard to make the property a home and not feel like a rental and make everyone happy . I truly care and take great pride. We have newly remodeled and I like to keep things new, clean, and fresh. I looked up the size of the Honda Pilot, and it is 70.4 inches tall. The overhead space in the garage is 75". I have in my contract that the garage fits up to a mid sized SUV and I tell my prospective guests that the garage has a clearance of 75". The garage is a single wide garage, but extra long. You do have to over shoot the space by swinging wide and aim your right fender to the left side of the garage, that way, when you back up to enter the garage, your wheels are straight. The Honda Pilot is a mid size SUV and certainly should fit in the garage. We have a normal size garage door that fits the width of the SUV' and mini vans. There is a nearby large parking strip that is non metered and you can park there for 72 hours at a time for those who drive a full size SUV. Most of the garages in the beach area are single wide and many properties do not have a garage. I apologize if I did not help you navigate the garage as the garage has accommodated all different makes and models of mid size SUVs in the past.
The kitchen is not huge, but all new and very well laid out. It is also very fully equipped with quality tools, pots, casserole pyrex, pie plates, cookie sheets, and I really tried to think of everything my guests would possibly need. Cooking a Christmas dinner is a large undertaking. The kitchen has one large oven, 5 burner gas stove, and a microwave. One oven is a challenge for a large Christmas dinner.
All appliances are new including those in the entire kitchen, water heater and even the washer/dryer and fireplace. Unfortunately, we are having a venting problem that just occurred in the fireplace. We are going to have to cut into the exterior wall and re-route the vent. Sometimes home ownership presents something beyond our control. Our weather is so moderate year 'round that it is not that often that we can use the fireplace, but we certainly will do the necessary steps to restore. It is not something that we can do with guests there as would be too disruptive. We have some down time coming up so will complete at that time.

Enjoy this beautiful ocean beach and bay just outside your front door. You can rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, sail boats or swim right in front of the property. (Aquatic rental center within walking distance) Enjoy miles of flat boardwalk that border beach and ocean bay. So fun for walking, jogging, biking, roller blading, and skate boarding. This is the quieter side of (the block wide) Mission Beach with the ocean, beach and boardwalk on the west side of the peninsula and ocean bay, beach and boardwalk on the east side of the peninsula. Cross over from one side to the other and enjoy all Mission Beach has to offer. Unique recreation area close to all San Diego attractions. Enjoy Sea World fireworks from your private patio every night in the summer and on Saturday nights from Sept. to May. You are 15 to 20 minutes from Lindberg Field Int'l Airport, San Diego downtown area, The World Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, and Old Town. Enjoy beach living at its finest while being minutes from the nucleus of San Diego. Walk to Belmont Park in Mission Beach. They have a roller coaster and video games and various things to do. There is a community pool called The Plunge next to the Belmont Park area. Other Activities: shopping, kayaking, boating, parasailing, shelling, health/beauty spa. You can walk to restaurants and shops. You are close to all that San Diego has to offer. Mission Beach is very centrally located. You are across the bay from Sea World and yet just 15 minutes from Old Town, downtown San Diego, Lindbergh Field In't Airport, the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park and all they have to offer. Golf: San Diego is a fabulous place to golf. We have the second most temperate climate in the world, second only to the Canary Islands. We have the world famous Torrey Pines golf course about 20 minutes from Mission Beach. There is even a little 9 course golf course on the other side of mission bay and it is lit at night in the summer....just a fun spot to take the family of golfers. We have many golf courses, and I have a golf course guide in the property for your convenience in looking up all San Diego has to offer!

The rate is $1990 to $2690 from Sept. to end of May depending on the week & number of guests. Holiday weeks are from $2890 to $3290 from Sept. to May. Early June is $3890, late June is $4390 & high summer from June 27 to Aug. 15 is $4690 from Sat. to Sat. End of August is discounted. I will do my best to work with you to meet your needs. Call in the off season for any specials close to the date. I am happy to accommodate last minute bookings and will consider even 2 nights if close to the date. I charge more per night if less than a week unless I am running a special close to the date. I do charge a credit card convenience transfer fee, but checks are free as well as in coming wire transfers. Please call for the address so that you can do an aerial google search and see what a great location this is!
