great location, no car needed, 5 mins from train station, 2 mins to beech and restaurants, luxury fittings and sea views
Daytime location was perfect. A minute's walk away from the tram down to the beach, two minutes from town and 10 minutes from the spa theatre (main reason we'd booked)
Sat nav went a bit crazy trying to find it as we'd passed it twice, but very helpful paserbys pointed us in the right direction.
Night time location. Bring ear plugs! Should've clicked when the directions came a few days before we arrived saying the entrance was actually off of Bar Street. Noisy crapp-oke or a very bad singer on the Friday night, boom boom noise til silly hours on the Saturday night.
The listing states parking. So we wrongly presumed that meant parking was available. When we checked a month before arrival about how many parking spaces were available as there were five of us travelling in two separate groups, we were informed that the parking was use of paid public car parks or street parking. There is none roadside. The nearest Carpark is only parking for three hours. The next two larger ones you can park for 24-hours (cost at least £10.00 each period). Resorted to parking in one of the larger ones, then driving out and back in twice to repark for rest of weekend.
Our original booking for four adults and one child (aged8) two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the second with a double bunk bed with a single on top. The week before this changes to two single bunk beds. Yes there was a pull out bed in a cupboard which we used. Four out of five beds were made up on arrival.
The lounge/kitchen had enough room. It has a breakfast type bar with 4 stools. Aprtemnt coukd sleep 5-6? It did include a washing machine, but fortunately we had no cause to use it as it was full of wet towels that were on a 'freshen up' wash, presumably from previous occupation? We would like to presume the towels are more throughly washed than a just a ''freshen up'?
We chose to eat out for all meals including breakfast, so used little in the kitchen apart from the kettle.
We don't mind wildlife or the seagulls, which is fortunate as several were nesting with eggs on the window boxes. Didn't expect them to have speckled eggs!
We were on the second floor up four flights of stairs.
If you're happy to have late night noise, then the apartment's location is ideal. Travelling with family including a child, well it depends if they're a light sleeper or not.
We've recently stayed in another apartment in another town, so used that to compare the two experiences.
