Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Anna and Bryan,

Thank you for sharing the amazing Chez Claude with us. It was a refuge when the feet were too sore, or the occasional hang over was too large. It was the highlight of our trip! We are already planning our return visit.

Outstanding property to live like a Parisienne!

  • 5 of 5

This is the most beautiful property in a superb location. Looking out on the Seine, a moments walk to the station and vibrant cafes and shopping, it wants for nothing. Everything is at hand for a delightful Paris experience both within the apartment and at your doorstep. The Louvre, Notre Dame, St Chapelle and the Conciergerie are a short walk away. Being on RER C line at St Michel means you can easily catch a train to the Eiffel Tower, Musée D’Orsay, Invalides and Versailles and on line 4 at St Michel, get to Sacre Coeur. We have loved every minute of our stay

Wonderful central location.

  • 4 of 5

Chez Claude was the perfect spot to base ourselves for our sightseeing visit of Paris. Martine was very friendly and helpful assisting us to navigate the right metro exit with our luggage. The apartment is clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. The bedding is not the most comfortable but we didn't mind given the great location. Like many Parisian apartments the old floor boards are quite creaky so you may want to be aware if you have light sleepers using the day bed and fold out sofa as we did. The manuals and information booklet are the most helpful and comprehensive I've seen at any lodging. Thank you Anna for our stay!

Charming apartment on the Seine with views of Notre Dame

  • 5 of 5

A delightful apartment where we stayed for a week with our 2 teenage sons. The well situated apartment is well maintained and contains everything you need including excellent Wifi, a washing machine and an excellent drier. The friendly owners supplied plenty of useful information on how all their appliances work, where to visit, shopping, tips on getting around and restaurants. Would love to go back for another visit perhaps at a different time of year. Thanks

Wonderful apartment on the Seine

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this apartment. The location could not be better, and the double-glazed windows keep out the noise of the busy street and river below. The apartment is in a building that is a bit rough around the edges, but the apartment itself is wonderfully appointed and well-equipped; everything that you need is there. Our greeter met us promptly, spoke perfect English, and introduced to all the features of the apartment. When we had a problem with the hot water (we were not familiar with the on-demand heater), he returned quickly to fix it. Beside the incredible views from the windows (Notre Dame!) I appreciated having the stable and fast internet connection. I could go on and on, but let's just say again that we loved this place. We hope that it is available on our next trip to Paris.

A charming apartment with views to match...

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I had a wonderful stay in this apartment. We were immediately impressed by charm of the apartment and could not have been happier with our choice of accommodation in Paris. We loved the location of the apartment and we were able to walk to many of the tourist attractions ( the metro is very also very close.) The apartment itself is very warm ( we were there in March and it snowed one day!) and cosy. The kitchen is well equipped and food markets nearby for anyone wanting to prepare meals. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations ( which were fabulous by the way... we tried three of them! ) that are included in the apartment manual which itself is very detailed and informative. I really liked the large library of books and DVDs which is a nice touch. We were very happy with our choice of apartment in Paris.

A great place to stay in Paris

  • 5 of 5

We were fortunate to have found and rented this lovely apartment for our week long stay in Paris. The rental (pre-arrival) process was well organized and flawless. Communication with the property owner was timely and clear; which reassured us that we had rented a great place. On arrival we were greeted on time by the property manager and the apartment was precisely as described. Clean, well equipped and well located in the heart of Paris. The apartment felt safe, well secured and very comfortable for a family with young kids. Having reliable heat, hot water, a full kitchen and laundry in a central Paris apartment is quite a luxury. The apartment and rental process easily met/exceeded our expectations. I couldn't imagine having the same great trip while staying in a small hotel room typical of that area of Paris. Highly recommended.

Stylish and central, Chez Claude is on the famous Left Bank of the beautiful Seine in the highly desirable and exciting ‘Sixth Arrondissement’ in the heart of Paris. Chez Claude gives you the very best; ‘the perfect apartment, in the perfect location,' to truly experience the essence of Paris. With a view over the Ile de la Cite, Sainte Chapelle and the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, this apartment couldn't be more centrally located.

Chez Claude is in a 17th Century building on Quai des Grands Augustins. 'Quai', means 'wharf' in French. Chez Claude is on the famous Left Bank of the River Seine, an area rich with an exciting history.

The best way to experience The Sixth - and the rest of Paris - is by foot. This way you can take your time, and discover the many hidden possibilities. Travelling by bicycle is not only fun, it's also environmentally-friendly. Vélib, which means “vélo libre” or “vélo liberté” - ‘free bicycle’ or ‘bicycle freedom’ - is a great way to explore. Simply rent a bicycle from a hire point, cycle where you like, and return the bike to one of over 750 points located around the city.

Chez Claude is within walking distance of some of the world’s best restaurants. In St Germain are two of the most popular in Paris: Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots, or if you are a fan of Midnight in Paris, Cremerie Polidor is a ten-minute walk away.

The Latin Quarter with its rich literary and artistic heritage is a short walk from Chez Claude. Enjoy a walk through the bustling streets to literally follow in the footsteps of great writers and artists, including Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce and Pablo Picasso, who came to Paris to create some of their greatest works.
