About the property

Check in is 4.00pm on arrival date and check out is by 10.00am on the morning of departure. Change over days are Fridays for weekly bookings. At certain times of the year we also offer short breaks either Friday - Monday or Monday - Friday..

The apartment building is directly on the sea front opposite the Farne Islands.The coastal path is to the front of building and is a 5 minute walk to Seahouses village amenities & the harbour with boat trips to the islands. Alternatively walk North towards Bamburgh & the beach is approx.100 yards away.

* The property is non-smoking throughout, and will accept 1 dog (there is a fee of £25)

All bed linen and towels are supplied and includes electricity and heating

The apartment is light, bright & airy with beach views from the living room & garden views from bedrooms. There are 2 communal gardens - The garden to the front overlooks the Farne Islands with views to Bamburgh Castle and a tranquil back garden to sit relax and unwind.

The living room and kitchen are open plan and offers a comfortable relaxing space to literally watch the world go by from the comfort of your chair.

Bedroom 1 is a large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath only) Bed is a super-king size which can convert to 2 full size singles on request.

Bedroom 2 is a medium sized room with double bed.

There is also a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower with glass shower screen.

About Bob & Linda Cole

We both grew up in the North East and live here still. We have been regular visitors to Seahouses and the Northumberland area certainly for most of our adult lives. We have holidayed with our children as well as regular day trips in the summer so know these beautiful area's very well. We hope others will enjoy the benefits we love too.

We feel the property is beautifully positioned opposite the Farne Islands and looking North to Bamburgh Castle. and only a 'stones throw' from the beach. We are always rested and refreshed after a visit.

First impressions

Lovely warm and cosy apartment but initially disappointed with the fact that we were not st front of building. The impression from website was that we had sea views but we took it in turns at the table to get the view! That said wonderful location for Holy Island, Amble, walking and sightseeing. We had a great holuday on our first visit to Northumbria.

Bucket and spades apartment in sea houses was everything and moor clean beds towels we could not fault anything thanks bob and carol this apartment was close to the town centre and even pet friendly I would recommend it to anyone even the pubs are pet friendly

Great apartment in a perfect location

This is a lovely compact apartment with everything we needed for our week long stay. There are lovely views of the beach and dunes from the dining table so you can watch the surf roll in whilst you are eating your toast made from the tasty bread from Trotters, the local bakery. The apartment is a 10 minute walk into the town along a lovely flat path that runs along the seafront. There are loads of nice places to eat in Seahouses as well as some great takeaways. There are also some great pubs and the Bamburgh Castle lets dogs in too. There are some nice walks to do straight from the apartment door, including to Bamburgh and Beadnell. Overall I would say that this is a great apartment in a perfect location for exploring beautiful Northumberland.

Great Base for Exploring

A clean, tidy and comfortable flat well located for exploring the Northumbria region. A well equipped kitchen is provided but ample good eating places can be found in town which is an easy, level walk away. Being located on the coast road a short walk on the beach or through the dunes can be taken any time.

There is ample off street parking at the flat and roads in the area give easy access to Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Hadrians Wall, Cheviot Hills, Berwick and more. Boats to the Farne Islands readily available from Seahouses.

All in all a highly recommended base for a holiday.

Perfect for exploring Northumberland

We had a fantastic stay at Buckets and Spades. The apartment is situated across the road from a beautiful sandy beach with views of Bamburgh Castle and is well kept and well equipped. We enjoyed trips to Bamburgh, Hadrian's wall, Edinburgh and Holy Island, plus a boat trip out to Longstone Island where we visited the light house where Grace Darling lived. Seahouses is a short walk away, where there are a variety of restaurants, gift shops, bakers, greengrocers and a small supermarket. Thoroughly recommended as a base for exploring Northumberland.

Great location and well equipped property.

Great to find such a lovely place that accepts dogs. Very close to a huge beach. The beds were comfortable and the flat was clean and well equipped for home cooking.

Bamburgh Castle

Visit the Farne Islands by boat from Seahouses to see Grey Seals, Puffins and various other sea birds depending on the season.

There are lots of opportunities for walking in the area from a simple walk North along the beach from Seahouses to Bamburgh and a variety of coastal walks, to a much different experience of walking in the Cheviot Hills.
