You can tell the owners take pride in their mountain getaway. We so enjoyed staying in the cabin. The place was decorated so nice and the place was very clean! We went whitewater rafting and took scenic drives around the area. We will be back soon and will stay at Fork in the Road. Thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us.
The cabin is beautiful, well equipped and conveniently located to Murphy and other local communities. It is extremely quiet and relaxing. You will sleep like a puppy and be ready for an exciting day exploring the area. Murphy even has a new casino with entertainment. Dottie was exceptional and extremely helpful.
A Fork in the Road is secluded with a beautiful mountain view from the wrap around deck. Although secluded, it is close to white water rafting, wineries, flea market and only 15 minutes away from Blue Ridge. Whether you wake in the mood for peace and quiet or a day of adventure, the Fork in the Road is able to deliver. I love sitting in the living room on a rainy day watching the rain through the chalet windows. You truly feel like you are out in the elements. We will definitely be back!!
We have been vacationing in Murphy for the past five years. Three years ago we stayed at "the fork in the road" and it was absolutely beautiful, it exceeded our expectations in comfort, cleanliness, and quality. We have been coming back for the last three years and every year there seems to be something added to make our stay more pleasurable You can really tell how much the owners take pride in sharing their home.
My number one go to place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature. Wild flowers, birds, humming birds, butterflies, fireflies, crickets, day or night this cabin is PERFECT. The owners Marty and Toni have put their heart and soul into it. The location is in the country but… there are so many things to do-- if you ever want to leave the cabin. Downtown Murphy, the river walk, restaurants, flea markets, Ocoee Rafting, Nantahala, Campell Folk School, Smokey Mountain National Park, Lake BlueRidge. It is truly heaven on earth !!!
Although we arrived for a week of outdoor activities. We found it such a pleasure to be able to come home every day to a cabin which is so inviting, warm , and decorated like a model home. The large wrap around porch, and swings, on two sides were the perfect places to begin and end each day. I love the addition of flat screen TV's in each room which is hard to find in a rental cabin. "Fork in the Road" exceeds our expectations, and we can't wait to return.
Wow! Spectacular views from the living area and adorable "cabin" décor makes me want to keep coming back.....or maybe never go home! "Fork in the Road" was extremely clean & homey......couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay for my "vaca" in the mountains. Accessible to town, yet set back enough to get away from the hustle & bustle of daily routines. My fur-kids enjoyed a comfortable stay too with easy access to go potty and/or hike around outside. Beautiful fireplace makes it cozy for a family or romantic for a couple! Can't wait to go back!!
Convenient to the Georgia line and Nottely Lake, only 15 min. to Ocoee whitewater rafting in Tennessee and 15 minutes to Hiawassee River in Murphy.
