This villa is located in the area of La Font in Pollensa. This villa is a short drive away to the historical town of Old Pollensa and also the popular resort of Port Pollensa. This country side villa boasts a large, unique private pool that is surrounded by enchanted grounds – ideal for couples and small groups to relax and in enjoy the pleasant setting. This 2 bedroom villa has the added benefit of air conditioned/heated bedrooms and WIFI at no extra cost.
The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure that the gardens are kept rich and lush. With plenty of palms, local bushes plus flora and the spacious lawned area.
This Mallorca villa is all on one level and from the shaded terrace the front doors open into the hall. To the right is the master double bedroom which has a double bed whilst opposite is the pretty twin bedroom that both share the family bathroom.
The bedroom air conditioned/heated at no extra cost. In line with local energy saving initiatives, the villa has timed air conditioning on all units from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 9 pm to 8 am.
The lounge is bright and airy with double patio doors opening onto the shaded terrace. Just after the lounge and dining room area is the kitchen which has access to the covered terrace.
If dining al fresco under the main terrace was not enough, further dining is available in the pool house. Here there is also a barbecue kitchen, enough for any gourmet barbecue chef.
The pool has roman steps plus a ladder on the opposite end for access into the pool. There are plenty of shady areas so that you will be able to get a spot for reading or just relaxing.
This is a villa that will be a joy to spend a holiday in. Lights around the garden at night complete the fairy tale setting of the villa. There is also an external shower room.
We stayed here for one week in mid August 2016. Myself, my wife and our two kids (9 & 5) absolutely loved it!
The Villa is the perfect size for a family of four. It is very clean and everything is up together.
The best part of this villa is the lovely garden and pool and the variety of places to sit outside throughout the day and evening.
Inside is also ideal. It is decorated to what I believe is typical Majorcan style. The whole time we were in Majorca it was 32 degrees and above every day so we spent very little time indoors.
The Villa is situated in La Font which is a ten minute walk from the centre of Pollensa old town. There are a number of Villas in the area which is also surrounded by farmland and fields. The kids loved walking into the old town for an evening and seeing all of the animals in the fields and the different fruit and nut trees that grow in the area. The villa also has it's own automated full height sliding metal gate which leads onto a large driveway with a covered area to park two cars. This is ideal given the heat in August!
There is then a walkway through an 8ft hedge which surrounds the villa giving excellent privacy. This leads through the garden and up to the villa.
There are two bedrooms which both have individual air con units (required!). There is no other air con in the villa, only the bedrooms. The villa has four different outside seating areas plus there is also a detached pool house with its own full sized kitchen and dining room! We didn't actually use this at all during our stay but it is nice to have if you have guests over for the day or evening. There is also a pool shower and toilet at the rear of this pool house which we didn't find until the end of our stay.
There is a separate laundry building with washing machine and iron. Ideal if you have kids or you want to travel light!
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need on holiday.
The bathroom is also ideal and is fitted to a modern standard.
There is very good wifi/internet here and we were all able to stream Netflix and watch videos on iPads, etc and they have a large HD TV in the lounge which we hooked up some devices to.
We are definitely considering returning to this villa as we really enjoyed our time here.
The owners are often in the orchard next door to the villa and are very friendly.
We stayed in this property last week, arriving late at night, we woke to the splendid view of the mountains behind the villa, and the lush, well maintained spacious garden. The villa is clean, neat and tidy and has everything needed for your stay. The pool is fantastic and our 2 children had so much fun in it throughout the week. There is a little private garden behind the villa (unaccessible), where the owner grows peaches, pears, oranges and lemons, and he arrived with a box full of the most sweet and juicy peaches and pears, which was a really nice touch!!
All in all we were only in the villa to sleep, we spent our week exploring the great local beaches, Formentor, cala Saint Vincient, Diea and Peurto Pollensa and sampling the wonderful seafood in the many quality restaurants. A stroll through Pollensa old town is a must... the narrow streets and Squares are lovely during the early evening and there are some great restaurants here also..
I would highly recommend this villa and its location, peaceful quite with great gardens and wonderful views of the mountains. I will be back!!
House modest by comparison to the immaculately manicured lawns, paths and pool (beautiful flower bed to one side of the entry path was very attractive as a feature) as indicated the garden verandas and pool house dining room are perfect and with good weather who needs anything more. Two bedrooms (one with narrow twin singles), one bathroom (but pool shower and WC to rear of pool house). comfortable but small lounge – but we never used it as there was no need (and could not work the TV even for Wimbledon!). barbecue washing machine iron etc all made staying with a baby (multiple outfits and washing required!) very comfortable. The local town is very pleasant and a 20 minute walk, although do take torches as the road is narrow and dark on the return trip. Many very good restaurants, excellent pharmacies and local hospital (oh yes we did everything) and two excellent and well-stocked supermarkets just off the roundabout before the property. Oh to have a fish counter like that at home. When locating the property, our only criticism, the road leading to the property is only a few feet from the roundabout and the sign is it obscured by a tree, so took a little finding but worth the effort. A very secure property behind an impressive gate and parking in the shade of a carport, which given the heat, was welcome. The exterior of the property, and we effectively lived outside during the day by the pool, in the sun, in the shade of the verandas and with the pool house dining area, means that this is an exceptional property for four (plus baby) providing that the twin single room and shared bathroom is not an issue. Baby cot, high chair and baby bath seat all provided on request. Lovely area, lovely property, certainly on the list to visit again.
A relaxing weeks stay in this secluded villa. Set in the foothills of the mountains and only a 5 minute drive from the pretty atmospheric town of Pollensa. A lovely well kept, well maintained and well equipped villa set within lovely gardens. A perfect location that I would highly recommend to anybody.
We have just returned from a weeks stay in this villa and would highly recommend it. It is a beautiful, private, family villa that is only a short drive from beaches, caves, water parks, ports, towns and markets. The location is great and the villa itself is so lovely. Everything is very clean, it has all the bits & pieces you need for self catering accomodation, the baby cot & other baby bits available were great quality and the grounds were lovely. I'd be happy to stay here again.
Had a fabulous week. Villa was lovely, pool & surrounding gardens were fantastic, pool & table tennis were great addition, perfect for family holidays. Villa was well situated as could get to shops, bars & restaurants within 15 minute walk/5 minute drive.
The most beautiful and picturesque area of Mallorca is the Pollenca region which has a unique charm and beauty, and is the ideal destination for quality, family villa holidays. Pollença Old Town is a peaceful and tranquil town that remains very typically Spanish. It is four miles from the coast, nestling between two hills at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountains. Pollença itself is indisputably pretty. Historic buildings with ochre roofs, sun-baked walls and wooden shutters line the narrow and twisting medieval streets. There are pastel-painted houses in the centre and Moorish water mills on the outskirts. It's also a haven of sleepy Mallorcan traditions - café life and the siesta roll on here as they always have. The heart of the old town is the central square, Plaça Major, where there are many café-bars and fine restaurants. Pollença also has lots of galleries of Mallorcan art and design, and a town museum. The most famous walk in Pollença is up the 365 steps of the tree-lined 'Calvario' - the Calvari Hill. There is a tiny church at the top with amazing views over the town and across wooded valleys to the sea Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. The atmosphere in Puerto Pollensa is relaxed with no loud discos or nightclubs, but a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops. The countryside around Pollenca Old Town and Puerto Pollensa is amongst the most stunning and picturesque in the Mediterranean. Lush green dramatic valleys, littered with grazing mountain goats and sheep and beautiful rural farmland hillsides dotted around picturesque monastery’s and farms are the typical view from your garden here.
