A breathtaking ocean view strikes you immediately upon entering our tastefully decorated island style home. Brazilian koa hard wood floors impart a sense of luxurious living.
Entire living area and master bedroom (en suite) opens to large ocean front covered lanai. The smoke-free home is situated in the quiet countryside town of Laie, @ one hour from the Honolulu airport.
The house is on a narrow peninsula and has fabulous views of ocean, beach, and islands. A private beach access to a pristine beach is only a few steps down a quiet lane.

We have always loved Hawaii. We had an opportunity to buy a home on the north shore of Oahu and couldn't pass it up.
This is real Hawaii and situated in a quiet, safe community. Oodles of beaches and fun stuff to do. It is off the main highway on a mellow little street.
The house was wonderful! We loved getting up every morning and listening to the waves rolling in, not to mention, sitting on the lanai looking out at the gorgeous view. The hammock was well used and every night someone was asleep in it! We all enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and laid back feel being on the North Shore. We took day trips and explored the whole island over the course of the week and it was great to come back to the house and relax in the evening. The house was stocked with everything we needed and was a very comfortable place to hang out. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
We arrived at the property in the evening and it was difficult to find it due to it being located between two houses. Once we entered the house, it was well presented and the inside look identical on how it was described. The owners provided clear instructions and provide a how-to binder on eateries, things to do, and where to go, which made it helpful. The only drawback was how close the neighbors were. We were on vacation and we pretty much stayed up and hung out on the balcony every night but keep our voices down during the week. On Saturday late in the evening, we were asked to keep it down. I think due to the humid weather, everyone's window had to be left open to keep the houses cool but this allowed the neighbors to be distracted. It was too hot to be inside the house and we were on vacation.
The bikes we used were flat and needed to be pumped up and eventually went flat again. The agent was very helpful and wanted to purchase new tubes but we didn't ride them again so we declined. We attempted to go fishing with the one fishing pole that was left there but due to the salt corrosion, it was inoperable. This was a total bummer but we enjoyed the snorkeling kit that was probably left by other visitors. Also, the kitchen had enough kitchenware to use for cooking, this was very helpful.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the property. Being that it was our first time in Hawaii, adapting to the humid weather was a little difficult. The house had ceiling fans but not enough to cool the house down but hey, we are in Hawaii. I would have rated this a 4.5 star but couldn't so therefore I give it a 4 stars. I would recommend this place to anyone who has 3 or more visitors who would like a comfortable place to stay and out of the city.
This house was wonderful! What a great location, beautiful area. Many of the suggestions noted in the house book we took advantage exploring. Great source of local information. The house was stocked with everything we needed and was a very comfortable place to hang out. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Thank you for sharing your lovely house on the Pacific! It felt like home!
The view was extraordinary and the location was convenient to the North Shore. Even Waikiki is easily accessible on a Sunday avoiding commuter traffic. Breakfast and evenings on the Lanai were breath taking. There was no need to be indoors! The TV was not even turned on! Your home was a welcome retreat after our day's events.
The local food trucks, Teddy's Bakery, Haliewa Joes, Seven Brothers, Turtle Bay, House Without a Key (Waikiki), the Waikiki Yacht Club (Reciprocal Agreement honored), Turtle Bay, as well as Foodland, etc., provided sustenance and an introduction to local flavors. We enjoyed Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, the numerous beautiful beaches, ATVs, horseback riding, hiking Waimea Valley, swimming in the refreshing falls, and, yes, jumping off "The Rock" at Waimea Bay. A local treat was spotting a seal and pup on the shore by Turtle Bay. After 50 years, touring the Naval Base in Wahiawa was an honor and brought back many fond memories. There is so much more to see, and hope we can return again some day.
Your House Manager, Aaron, was very responsive to our one request. He addressed our deflated bike tire concern by immediately replacing the missing pump and inflating the tires. A text message was all that was needed.
The Aloha experience was enjoyed by all in our family! We certainly recommend your home.
Thank you again, Chick and Cookie, for sharing your slice of paradiseI

Beautiful house. We loved the lanai, watching the ocean. We had all of our meals out there and spent most of each evening just relaxing there on very comfortable chairs and a hammock. Sleeping with the windows open, listening to the ocean was wonderful.
The house has everything we needed-dish soap, dishwasher soap, shower soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and paper towels. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. We used the washer and dryer every day. Master bed was very comfortable. Large double shower in master bath very nice. Beach equipment great-chairs, mats, umbrella, snorkel gear, boogie boards, bikes. Grocery store just down the street very convenient.
Chick was easy to work with and responded to my questions quickly. The property was exactly as described and pictured.
If you want a north shore, peaceful place to stay in, this is it. Unlike so many north shore houses, this one has no road noise and has a traffic light at the neighborhood entrance so it is easy to get in and out of.
Super easy no hassle with rental arrangements, arrival or departure. The location is super with a small shopping center within walking distance as well as a private beach and incredible point for sunsets. Well equipped and appointed home, comfortable beds and beautiful island kitchen. I felt the spirit of aloha immediately upon entering, nicely decorated with personal touches throughout. We had our two sons (adults) and the four of us were VERY comfortable lounging around the T.V. at night and slept great. I LOVED the master bedroom/shower! The lanai is like living in a beer commercial, the views are amazing. We spent hours relaxing in the hammock, reading and shared all our meals there, saw a large sea turtle. Without traffic due to construction, you are a short drive to all the best of Oahu. Quiet residential area with nice folks all around. They have bikes, boogie boards, fins, chairs & ice chest...everything you need for the beach. We cannot WAIT to return, and by far this was our favorite place we've stayed. MAHALO Chick & Cookie for sharing your beautiful home with our family, we had an outstanding vacation!!
I recommend buying/bringing water shoes, bought mine at Foodland :-) You'll appreciate them walking down the rocky areas and some of the beaches aren't sandy. There are stores everywhere outside of Laie that sell alcohol, so don't worry about it being a 'dry' town. The little movie theater within walking distance was a fun little outing after a long day in the sun!
The house was as described. It had a beautiful living room with hardwood floors. Three bedrooms so our daughters could have their own space and their own bathroom. The master bedroom had a king size bed and a huge shower area. It's located back off the street so no traffic noise. But the best part of the house was the lanai. An amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. We spent our early mornings there as well as our evenings when we returned for the night. Very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the North Shore area and if we ever return to the island we will definitely want to stay at Chick and Cookie's Island home again.
The Polynesian Cultural Center is situated in town as well as the Mormon Temple. The Kuilima Golf Course at Turtle Bay resort is ten minutes by car. This is Hawaii's only 36 hole golf facility featuring an 18 hole Arnold Palmer course.
Many free beach parks as well as hiking trails through the coastal mountains abound. The home has three bedrooms and two baths. Also, two single futon beds as well as foam pads for sleeping on the lanai. All services are only minutes from the house including groceries, video rental, pizza, medical, etc
Other Activities: Kite-boarding, wind surfing, snorkeling, SCUBA, surfing.
