We had such a nice time. The creek and pool table were a huge hit. We were very comfortable there and it was so nice to unplug for a couple days. The fenced yard allowed us to relax knowing our dog could hang out with us outside without worry she would run off. Overall, a wonderful time and we hope to return.
This cabin is beautiful, very clean, and feels so homey. Jody has an amazing talent for decorating in a way that is warm and whimsical! We loved every minute we were there.... the pool table was loads of fun; the huge porch was perfect for relaxing; the boys enjoyed the video games; the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with every pot, pan, dish and utensil we might need; the creek was peaceful and fun for the kids. Experiencing a campfire creek-side was spectacular and something we'd never done before. The four-legged members of the family were ecstatic about being able to romp and play to their hearts content in the fenced yard. Everything about it the cabin was cozy and inviting and we can't wait to go back! The Hayesville area is also beautiful and had loads of amenities so that you have the option of staying at the cabin and enjoying the comfort of peace and quiet, or of getting out and about to do a variety of activities. We went white water rafting with Carolina Outfitters and on a trail ride at the very-close-by Chunky Gal Stables. Both were tons of fun and great for making memories! We very highly recommend Chunky Gal Stables if you would enjoy horseback riding...outstanding guides and horses. All in all Jody's cabin is a spectacular choice for a memorable family vacation or for anytime you might need an escape from the real world.
My family and friends stayed the week of July 4th and couldn't have been happier. The property was exceptional and the house was very well kept. Also, within a short drive to many of the local sites. We personally enjoyed Fires Creek the most. The owner was also very helpful with questions
Our family loved this house! It had everything that we needed. Clean, well-stocked, and adorably decorated. The pool table and creek were a HUGE hit with the kids. They could have done both all day. The enormous deck and grill made for relaxing evenings. I was happy to stay and cook with the creek sounds below. The grounds were beautiful and the fence was a bonus for our dog. Thank you for a very relaxing visit!
This was a perfect location for us to stay while dayhike get the Appalachian Trail. Access for dayhikes and section hikes from the Franklin Area to the Georgia line are very convenient. It was nice to get back to Fisherman's at the end of a long day and be able to relax in such wonderful surroundings. Nice to have wifi to check the weather, etc. it is also convenient to some places to eat out, buy groceries and to visit other sights like waterfalls, John Campbell School, the high point of GA, and many other trails. Highly recommend this cabin!
This cabin is very relaxing! My husband just returned from a deployment and this was our kids, him and I peaceful reunion away from our normal city life to give a easy transition for him and the 5 kids. We brought along our two dogs and this house offered an entire fenced in yard for them plus dog bowls and toys, great family room downstairs with games for teens and the younger ones. All the kitchen items needed except a decent can opener and tupperware (I said we have 5 kids so we ate in every meal$). Beautiful view with coffee every morning and a cocktail every night. Very peaceful and relaxing once you get used to the new beep from the house across the creek (they don't know where it's coming from as they just moved in). S'mores around the campfire and kids building a damn to float in. Great stay and I'd recommend it to anyone. Pretty much 45 minutes to anywhere else you want to visit.
